Madhuban Indian Cuisine

Biryani was some of the blandest I've tried in the city. Chicken in the madras was so nasty in texture and appearance we couldn't even stomach to eat it. Butter chicken "poutine" were mushy fries with cheap shredded cheese on top. I get that poutine isn't an Indian staple but why put it on your menu if it's gonna be that trash? The most offensive part of the meal was the onion bhaji. Undercooked and under seasoned. They tasted like onion rings from dairy queen but mushy and horrible. I spent 100 bucks and was excited to try a new Indian restaurant and I was SUPER dissapointed. There are dozens of far superior Indian places in close proximity to this place. Hard pass.

Unassuming from the outside, but don't let that fool you - go inside! Delicious food, great service and very nice interior! We were there for lunch, had the combos and left full and very satisfied! Would definitely recommend and will return!

If you are a vegetarian and an Indian or from Brampton who has Indian snacks and food regularly, this is the place for you in Ottawa. I simply could not decipher if the food was from a restaurant in India or Ottawa. The ambiance is typical of Delhi style, lovely for a family dinner. The servers were courteous and handled our needs excellently. Honestly, I didn't find any issues at all.

Madhuban restaurant is a great place to dine in. The delicious food, good menu, and good services are definitely worth trying. If you are looking for a place to enjoy a satisfying meal, Madhuban restaurant might be the perfect choice for you.

Food was very overpriced for the quantity provides. The taste and service makes up for it though. Add it to the posh indian restaurants list!

I tried this restaurant for the first time today and it definitely surprised me. It was fresh, great quality, and very good value for what you get. I would recommend this to others looking for a great bite and service was excellent! Will be adding this to my regulars.

This is my go to Indian restaurant in downtown Ottawa. They have lots of menu items. I love the curries, biryani, and pakoras. The food is always good and you can ask to adjust the spice level when you order for a family with kids or people who can't eat too spicy. The service is fast and the staff very friendly. I always order for pick up or delivery but they have a nice and large dining area.

This is hands-down my favourite Indian restaurant in Ottawa. For awhile, I was living across the bridge in Gatineau where there is no Indian food for some reason, but every time I was in Ottawa around dinner time, I would go to Madhuban’s to get lamb vindaloo, shrimp biryani, and rice. Fantastic restaurant. I highly recommend.

We have checked in for dinner and I must say that the food was utterly delicious. The customer service was satisfying and I will definitely visit again to taste other items. Highly recommend this restaurant.

We ordered thalis. The chicken curry was very salty. We asked the order to be changed, it was nice of them that they changed the curry. Dal makhani, palak paneer and mixed vegetable were good. We also ordered a take out of goat curry dish that costed around $17. But we were very disappointed as the meat was not tender at all and we had to throw it away.

1st time I went into the restaurant I got the vegetable korma it was very good next time a week later I ordered from home the same this this time they used Frozen vegetables from the bag did not add potatoes like the 1st time or tofu like the 1st time but they added mushrooms how can it not be consistent and use the cheapest ingredients.
I am not ordering from a restaurant for frozen frozen food especially frozen vegetables.

We had an incredible dinner at this wonderful restaurant. Every dish was exceptionally well prepared, with great balanced flavours. If you are looking for a genuine, delicious Indian experience, with friendly service, I totally recommend this place.

The food is delicious and delivery always goes smoothly. One of my favourite places to order from.

We picked up the food.it was ready in time.hot and good packing.
Both items Hakka Noodles and Tandoori Chicken were tasty. Also tried my favorite Besan ladu.super tasty but i found food is expensive.
Overall still i will highly recommend

My wife and I have been looking for a go-to Indian restaurant in Ottawa for awhile. This involved trying numerous Indian restaurants and being disappointed each time.

But when we found Madhuban Indian Cuisine, we were blown away. Each time we ordered a different dish, we found ourselves to be satisfied. From their curries, naan, biryani, etc, you will be in for a treat.

On top of the all their great food, they do have great service. They care about their clients and ensure that each one is treated with respect (whereas a lot of restaurants don't care). They have class, great food, fair prices. Once we found this restaurant, we stopped looking for other Indian restaurants to try.

They serve stale food to there customer and they are never sorry for that.
Very very bad experience.
When you complaint about the food, least interested about it. Because you already ordered and paid.

Madhuban is a hidden gem I'm so happy to have uncovered. Fantastic food, nice variety, and friendly staff. I eat vegetarian and my partner eats meat, but both of us are always equally pleased when we get take out from here. It's my go-to for comfort food that doesn't leave you feeling heavy.

They must improve on the quality and taste of the food.perfect location with parking.could be a great spot for foodies but we were disappointed today after having their tandoori chicken which was literally dried and not chewable, peas in the paneer curry tasted like they were just out of the fridge.hope they improve their taste and quality

Great food and great service. For Indian food, it would be my first choice in Ottawa. I also learned they firstly opened in Winnipeg and this is the second outlet. Must try. Thank you!

One of the best Indian restaurants in Ottawa. Good, polite and welcoming staff, pleasant atmosphere and delicious cuisine. If you are craving for chhole bhature just go straight to Madhuban without any doubt. Also I love Papri Chaat, fried rice and mango lassi there.

Great food, they have a lunch buffet daily all you can eat for only 22CAD per person!

All the classic favourites including biryani, butter chicken, curry goat, Palace paneer. The buffet also includes dosai made fresh to order served with sambar, mint chutney.

Wait staff is attentive, pleasant and fast service. Definitely best Indian food in the downtown area.
