Terrible clinic. Communication is difficult. Many physicians here don't seem very adept. It's reminiscent of a turn key operation, fill the chairs to keep the numbers up and the cash machine purring.

Dont want to reveal myself online. But visited this family doctor a few times. Catherine the resident family doctor there seems nice but definitely a place for charging you more for medicine and antibiotics that you’d typically get for free with ohip. They recommend you an expensive alternative that you either go through insurance for or pay out of your pocket. Its better that you go to a walk in doctor. The company here is in it to make money off their patients. Probably why they ask if you’re covered by insurance in their initial meet up.

0 star. This is to much “technology” and to little “human” contact! Your booking is strictly through website and with questions.
The slots are very few and I waited a full month for an appointment regarding two topics. Coming there the female doctor was not prepared and not supporting for a simple fast request of service dog Ontario. Furthermore I had questions of pain clinic and I was told to book a new appointment for this topic.
I have been a client there for a year and the help after a severe car accident is not there.

Again I left without no answers snd was told to go back on my computer for new bookings. This system and the priority of the clients doesn’t match. They are hiding behind computers instead of practicing care! I can’t recommend this place at all. I am so disappointed over the lack of help and support. It is unacceptable actually.

I’m honestly quite shocked to read the negative reviews about Magenta. I have been a patient of Dr. Siao’s since 2016 and I have always received excellent care from her, as well as her replacement when she was on mat leave. I have always felt that she genuinely cares for my mental and physical health and I have never had to wait more than a week for an appointment.

Dr. Siao has been amazing, as a patient I feel listened to and cared for. As a woman, feeling dismissed can happen in healthcare but not here. Dr. Siao has always taken the time to help ensure I'm heard and taken care of.

I'm still a patient at Magenta but I haven't been having a great experience lately. After describing some symptoms that I felt were anxiety related my doctor told me to go to the hospital because it may actually be heart related. They actually did see some abnormalities so I'm grateful that I was sent to the hospital, however, I was told I would receive a call the next day to figure out my next steps.

I never received a call from my doctor, so I e-mailed Magenta (the only way to contact them) asking if I should make an appointment or if I would be receiving a call another day. A week went by and I didn't get a reply, so I sent another e-mail. Still nothing, so I decided to make an appointment, but there wasn't one available for another 2+ weeks.

After my appointment I was prescribed some medication and was told it should be ready by the end of the day. I went at the end of the day and they didn't receive my prescription, so I e-mailed Magenta to let them know and also asked the pharmacist to fax them requesting my prescription. It's now been 4 days and they still don't have it and I have no quick way of contacting Magenta or my doctor unless I make an emergency appointment, which I feel would be better put to use for people in a real emergency (though I'm starting to feel like not having medication that's prescribed to me is becoming an emergency).

This isn't the first time they've forgotten to send my prescription and at this point they're putting my health at risk. I loved this place as a new patient but now that I've been with them for 2 years the cracks are starting to show and I see how unreliable they can be.

I hope they go over these reviews and reconsider how things are run here because I really like my doctor and I understand mistakes happen, but there needs to be a way to contact them immediately when they've made a mistake.

I recently left Magenta Health because I felt I was receiving below an acceptable level of care from my physician. My overall experience with the clinic was fine. It's a very technological and automated clinic which can be great in some aspects but frustrating in others. Pre-covid, it was quick and efficient to book and check in for appointments, however it's very difficult to talk to a “real person” if you're having issues navigating the system and in my experience the electronic communications have been frustrating at best, with e-mails not being answered promptly or worse ignored all together. My main complaint comes from my experience with my assigned family doctor, Dr. Winnie Siao. I found Dr. Siao to be very dismissive and unconcerned about my health. I often left my appointments feeling helpless and quite frankly untreated for the ailments I went in to address. I will say that my sister is a patient at Magenta Health and she had the complete opposite experience. Her doctor (Dr. Che) is kind and provides excellent care so I think your experience here will depend on the luck of the draw as switching doctors (or requesting certain doctors when becoming a patient) is not allowed.

I have received your invoice for our missed appointment on June 17th, 2021.

In response to the invoice, I wanted to take a moment to express my displeasure at having received this invoice and my experience with you as of late. I have asked my fiancé to share it here publicly so that people are well informed of how I was treated.

As you are well aware from our initial appointment on June 9th, I was unwell and noted in the follow up appointment request for June 17th, I noted that the issue has continued to-date. Having difficulty swallowing after every single time you ingest anything for a period of time thereafter, you can imagine how truly uncomfortable it can be.
Frankly, following the June 9th visit, my fiancé was shocked that your only suggestion to me was to advise that I purchase Tums or Pepto Bismol. Those are obviously only temporary measures. As a doctor who truly cares for the well being of their patients, prescribing or suggesting temporary measures should not have been the ONLY effort made on your part. At minimum, you should have referred me to a specialist since I explicitly said this was an ongoing issue, or alternatively, directed me to be tested if you were unsure of the severity of my symptoms BUT wanted me to feel better permanently as my family doctor.

With COVID, we understand and respect the challenges that healthcare professionals encounter while supporting patients remotely, and not being able to assess the patient in person, but having received this invoice, I see that the understanding and respect is not mutual.
Given that your schedule is so extremely limited and appointment times are for 15 minutes only and cannot be in person, this is not the level of care and dedication we deserve.
I am a working individual in the customer service industry. We are not permitted to carry our devices on us. While I had set both a 30 minute and 1 hour alarm on me, I was not able to leave my manager with a client on the floor and simply walk away, regardless that my manager had been informed beforehand of my commitment. Having discomfort multiple times in a day is not something I do not wish could be resolved sooner so it benefit me none to have missed the appointment.
Your schedule is always only a few weeks out with 15 minute slots only during the work day and no option whatsoever outside of that, how can I maintain my ongoing health needs with you without being penalized for missing an appointment based on circumstances out of my control?

While I understand that a missed appointment is your time wasted and the opportunity for someone else who could have made that appointment is lost, the causes were innocent and completely unintentional, so receiving an automated invoice from you was not the way to treat someone who is unwell and who has been a patient of Magenta for many years with no history of missed appointments.
Under such straineous times, both you and Magenta Health have disappointed myself and my fiancé greatly. Over 15 minutes of time and $30 (which is a lot for some people these days), you do not deserve to be our family doctor.

And really, I should have sent you an invoice having wasted 15 minutes of my time telling me the same information that the internet provides me FOR FREE. Shame on a “doctor” and a “clinic” who cannot do better than the internet.

I was fine with this clinic for myself but I don’t feel it’s appropriate for newborns. They don’t see the same person, so ongoing issues need to be re-explained and are not consistently monitored. My last two visits I’ve found the facilities extremely dirty. You can tell they are wiping down the high touch surfaces but the doctor’s key board, the doors, the floor, the walls, the baseboards - basically anything that is not high touch is really dirty.

Felt skeptical about this clinic after reading the negative reviews however, I decided to give it a shot because I needed to switch family doctors asap. Dr Park is great so far! She listens to all my concerns, sends test requisitions, and refers me to a specialist if necessary. Giving it a 4 star because you do have to be diligence about making appointments online.

Heard and read great reviews but never experienced it.
Very computerized and no personal touch.
After the initial registration, I received an email 1 week later to book an appointment. Three days in a row since then, I have been trying to book an appointment for the 15th day (seems like a concert ticket sale). NO available slots for the next 14 days, moreover, on the 15th day, the Doctor is only available at 7: 30am.
Their disclaimer pages says - in short - if you don't like it find a different hospital that suites your needs.
If i was a robot, sure.but for my family, i want a doctor and hospital that cares and is open for communication.

Doctors caring about their patients health is not just on TV shows! On my list of things to feel grateful for, being lucky enough to have Dr. Chou as my family doctor is one of them. I highly recommend Magenta Health to anyone looking for a new doctor.

I have been a patient of this clinic for a few years. Overall I would recommend this clinic to anyone. What is exceptional about this clinic, and the main reason I am a patient of the clinic, is Dr. Sabrina Chung. She is an amazing physician. She is knowledgeable, kind, comforting and most of all caring. She will address your health concerns rather than tell you what to do, It's a shame that the website only gives 5 stars, she deserves double. I have had the privilege of being one of her patients for many years, I have never been disappointed with any of my visits with her. The doctor is a godsend, to me. She has helped me with both physical and mental concerns. I cannot rave enough about Dr. Chung In an age of uncertainty, there is always something I can count on without failure, and that is my health issues will be addressed by someone who is very concerned and driven to find the answers. Dr. Natasha Chadha is the best Doctor I have ever had. I finally feel like I have a Doctor who listens intently to my concerns and acts in her patient's best interest. When I came to Dr. Chadha, I knew that there were some issues going on but my previous family doctor would tell me that what I was experiencing was normal. I consistently felt dismissed and even though I knew what I was experiencing was not normal, I couldn't help but feel a little crazy. Fast forward to Dr. Chadha, she immediately made me feel heard and started investigating. I finally have answers and a sense of relief. For the first time, I feel that my health is in very good hands and I have a Doctor who will advocate for me. Thank you Dr. Chadha for being down to earth and a caring human-being and professional! We need more Doctors like you!

Agreed with who posted before about the attitude of managing healthcare at Magenta Health. Nothing wrong with the doctors, the place is nice and modern but you do have to abide by the 15 minute rule and they just type into the computer all the while you are talking to them. It's all about getting dat OHIP cash and you'll never feel like your medical history is known by your doctor, you're just another file in the system. The whole spiel with the emailing / booking system is overhyped, it works until something out of the ordinary happens and then you are screwed (I also feel like this sort of automated treatment is more for a fast-food restaurant kiosk rather than a place where comfort and service is key). I was late once due to traffic and wanted to let them know but there was no way to do it. I had to re-book the appointment even though I already made the trip on a work day. Too bad because otherwise it could be a really nice enterprise.

Dr. Andrew Chou literally saved my life, I will forever be Grateful to him. So much of my life was wasted not getting the proper care for my illness & I actually WORKED for my previous family Doctor! I so wish I had met Doctor Chou when I was younger! Thank you, Thank you Thank you! Adjusting to their system is certainly well worth it.

The staff are friendly but their system is very broken. Because everything is done online there are always mix ups which become agonizing to straighten out as you will only ever see at most 1 email response a day. Sometimes they request you make another appointment to come in to straighten out the errors. This has happened too many times to count and I have finally had enough.

Since moving back to Toronto in 2010, I have struggled to find a doctor who a) accepts new patients (the good ones are taken) b) cares at all about what is happening in the appointment c) is willing to talk about more than ONE thing in each appt (can't bill OHIP for multiple issues) AND d) communicates in an efficient, timely and considerate manner. I was literally at my wits end when I moved back, decided to see a Dr who was a family friend and although he was knowledgeable and caring, he was WAY past retirement and his clients were all elderly. His clinic was run to accommodate that. Receptionists were cranky, reaching anyone by phone was impossible due to understaffing and "lunch breaks" where no one could answer a phone when most people are actually able to all to make appointments. Getting test results was impossible over the phone, I would have to make an appointment to hear that everything was fine. It was just a frustrating experience that I accepted. Wait times were extreme. He unfortunately passed away, and a younger woman took over the practice. I was SO optimistic. Then we met. And the same administrative issues continued, plus she was argumentative, uncaring and dismissive. I always felt rushed, and booking appointment times was painful. So I went on a mission, and Magenta Health was recommended to me.

Deciding to come to Magenta Health was the BEST THING I'VE DONE FOR MYSELF (in this capacity). I was nervous about the no phone number, not being able to choose your own doctor / gender / personality philosophy that they have. So, I understand some of the negative reviews on that. But I trusted the process and couldn't be happier.

My Dr is amazing. Booking appointments is easy. I am emailed my test results - even if I have an appointment the next day - and the Dr is available over email to discuss. When files from a specialist were sent over, I got an email just asking if I had questions. It is efficient and I dont have to deal with hours of wait time, clinic hours for booking appointments (its all online so do it whenever you have time) and I feel like my Dr goes above and beyond to communicate with me. I've never liked the "no news is good news". It's nice to get a "your tests came back perfectly normal" email.

Overall, I think this is a great way to run a medical clinic. It's not for everyone, but it's efficient, the Doctors care about you and the staff is friendly.

TL;DR Magenta Health is a glorified clinic, not a family practice

I don't normally publicly post reviews, but when it comes to healthcare it's important to have all the information - When you first sign up with Magenta they will assign you a doctor, there is no ability to request a female or male physician. Once you arrive it seems as though the doctors care more about OHIP swipes than actually treating you - they're unwilling to see you for more than 15 minutes at a time, so if you have more than one problem you'd like to address, good luck - you'll most likely have to make another appointment. The office is also entirely automated - you won't see someone until you're in an exam room - if doctors are running behind, there's no one to ask how long you'll have to wait. When I finally left the practice I was informed I would not be allowed back for a minimum of three years and after my new doctor requested my records (which they had to do multiple times because they got no response) I was sent an email saying I owe them money for emailing them over.

I enjoy the modern procedures that the clinic utilizes. Self check-in is very easy and quick. I have been a patient of Dr. Gulavita for the last few years and she has been great. I struggle with mental health and anxiety and I appreciate that whenever those things wreak havoc on my body with physical symptoms, she takes the time to truly listen, discuss and provide thorough follow ups or recommendations to other doctors. I highly recommend Dr. Gulavita and this clinic in general.

I have been with Magenta for years now, I specifically chose them because of the ability to book and communicate with my doctor ONLINE *Hello fellow introverts! * despite being in the West end.

Their response time has been 24-48hrs which is totally reasonable via email for non emergency situations and lab results.

I love the digital checkin in the lobby which gives an estimated wait time and then when ready prompts you via the tablet which exam room to enter to visit your doctor.

EVERYTHING appears clean and sterile. The staff have always been friendly and informative and Dr. Gulvita has been a god send when it comes to doctors *especially to this young female* she has listened to every concern I have had without brushing it aside and truly seems to care and remember you as a person every time you enter her office

Not sure why this is advertised as a walk in clinic when you clearly need to register and book an appointment upon arrival. When pressing the “I would like to speak to a human” button for assistance. Nobody came.

Only reason I am giving it a two stars is because it looks like a good system once your registered. However, the wasted time and no customer service was a let down.

I love Magenta Health! You book your appointments online, you email for massage prescriptions, and get a quick response… And I have never had an issue with booking an emergency appointment when necessary. It helps that my doctor is Dr. Che, she is very professional, friendly, and caring, she explains things well and in details, and gives you straight answers!

Dr. Dennison Lai has been amazing, very knowledgeable even with mental health issues, medications and over all understanding of complex medical issues. He has been very considerate, helpful and over all pleasant to have as a doctor. Magenta as a whole is a modern and good place especially for younger people who have no problem booking online and using technology for convenience. Definitely a very caring and professional place. Thank you guys!

Dr. Mehrani is fantastic, she's incredibly patient and diligent, employees at this location are friendly, funny and warm. Great service, and I love the freedom the (very easy to use) automated system gives you to set/cancel appointments, and communicate with your doctor. Would give another star if I could!

I would have deep concerns about any health clinic that does not have a contact phone number and that responds to emails in 10 days. I was a patient of Dr Cheung, and when she moved to this clinic, they made it very clear my previous history and health care was not important. In addition to their poor poor response time, they tried to blame the Ministry of Health re-registration process that would take weeks, and maybe even months to see the Dr Cheung which i have been seeing for many years. Suspect.and gladly will find a new Dr

I have been a patient of Dr. Sabrina Chung for the last 5 years. So when she moved to this clinic I didn't hesitate twice to move. She is the most personable, friendly and knowledgeable doctor i have ever encountered.
Being non computer friendly I thought this clinic would be a difficult adjustment. Boy was I ever wrong, from the moment I walked into the clinic the front staff welcomed me to the clinic. The front person made sure I was full knowledgeable on the sign-in procedures. They really make you feel welcomed as oppose to other clinics where they just ignore you hoping that you go away. I would recommend this clinic too anyone.

Lame and overly complicated by Design I've gone four times and not been able to register or see someone without having to wait an incredible amount of time they don't have a live person to speak to they don't have a phone number they can be reached at avoid these guys.

Amazing clinic, Dr.munsgi is the best family doctor I have ever had. They are very quick with specialist referrals and will even respond to emails with a phone call in case of an emergency.

The best, most efficient, doctors office I've been to. Going to the doctor can be an uncomfortable experience, especially if you have a chronic illness. I was referred to Dr. Gulavita from a friend because i shared my poor experience with my family doctor with whom I was a patient of since birth. I am more than pleased to say that the switch was an amazing decision. This clinic is efficient, clean, and the staff are amazing. No matter who you speak with, they are warm and welcoming. Dr. Gulavita has been one of the best doctors I have dealt with in my life. She is thorough, informative, kind and genuinely cares about her clients. Thanks for an amazing experience Magenta.

Without a doubt the best doctors in the city. These doctors keep up to date with new research and are very thorough during appointments. I’ve easily referred at least 6 friends to this practise and they only have positive things to say too.
