Howard and I are absolutely pleased with Durgy's amazing service during our reception in Dec 2023. He was phenomenal and awed all our guest with his magic and high energy. Everyone enjoyed ourselves and we are planning to get him back this year in Dec 2024 for our company annual party!

My fiance at the time and myself were really having a hard time choosing a MC out of friends and family for our wedding, and then I just so happened to see a reel of Durgy on instagram. Do yourself a favour, if you're thinking of him, and he's available, book it. He's incredibly talented, but there were a couple of things that were above and beyond for us. I was a little sad that we would miss the cocktail magic with our guests as we would be in the bridal suite at the time but understood that was the package we booked. It shocked us both when he came in with some bridal party members and took some time just for us. Further to that, he would check in on us both during the night to make sure we were okay and enjoying ourselves, even getting me a cup of tea when I mentioned something warm to drink.
We couldn't recommend him more. Many of our laughs and great memories of our wedding are due to Durgy, and we're so grateful we booked him!

Durgy was the emcee at our wedding on March 20,2022! He did an amazing job and we got so many comments from our guests about how much fun our wedding was! I wanna give a complete review as his service from beginning to end, booking to the actual night so bear with me. Service throughout was exceptional. First of all, I msgd him along with a few other emcees and mentioned that our budget was strained. Out of four emcees, he was the only one to reach back out to us. Ill also mention that this was at 10 in the evening and we heard frm him almost immediately! This really showed professionalism from the getgo as he didnr judge us for not having a huge budget + treated us with respect and priority. He explained his service super thoroughly. He has a process in place to get to know you as a couple and cater your reception to the exact experience youre looking for. A few guests asked us how long Durgy knew us for as he seemed to know a lot about us haha just shows how good he is at his job. He made time to review our itinerary with our coordinator while he was out of the country and that rly impressed me as well.

So on the actual night, he came on time and dressed so sharply! A few of the guests commented how good looking he was haha he did magic for the guests during cocktail hour which was super fun and rly set our wedding apart. During the reception, he made sure the bridal party entrances were high energy and quickly set the mood for the night. He was witty, funny and respectful. He can hype up a crowd but also control the hype as to not get too chaotic lol He made sure the reception flowed smoothly, handled any last min changes and was able to quickly think on his feet to cater to the night. I was tired of my heavy wedding dress and wanted to change into my reception dress but wasn't on the schedule until later in the evening. He merely said "how much time do you need? " and "don't worry, I got you". He also checked in throughout the entire evening to see if there was anything that we were not happy with or would like to change in terms of how the night was going. He was doing an excellent job and we didnt have any suggestions but the fact that he asked showed that he rly cared about his service and wants the couple to be happy. He hosted a few games which were all fun with maximum guest interaction. I was laughing and hyped the whole night. The thing that I appreciated most was during speeches, some people were talking during my sister's speech and he paused and was able to respectfully direct the attention to back to my sister. Thank you!

Overall, it was such a lovely night that we will never ever forget. If you're even questioning about having Durgy as your emcee, don't. I am the most frugal bride you will ever meet and was able to find so many places to cut with regards to expenses and I not for a second regret a single penny spent on his service. Having Durgy on board elevated our wedding reception immensely. Thank you, MC Spade! We had a blast!

Settling in! We wanted to say thank you soooooo much from the bottom of our hearts for the awesome reception! You handled our crazy families well and did everything the way we wanted it! Just awesome! Hilarious! Excellent entertainment choice! How the heck? ! - these were just some of the things I heard from my guests.

We hired Durgy for a formal event held on the evening of Sept 28. Prior to the event, his communication was great and he recommended options to consider based on the size of the gathering and type of event.

On the day of, he showed up as promised, on time and with the required equipment. I noticed he assessed the space and crowd and from there we literally just advised him when he was up and let him take it from there.

After an amazing show for our guests (of all ages), which had them laughing and at times in awe, he went around table to table during dessert to entertain our guests who were continued to be amazed.

Durgy was charismatic, professional, flexible and down right phenomenal. Despite our initial instincts of whether a magician would be appropriate for a formal event, I am absolutely pleased we hired him and would undoubtedly recommend him to anyone looking for some entertainment for their own event.

I am often highly critical, but there is absolutely nothing negative I can say about this experience.

Amazing Performer! Durgy worked our corporate function and did a fantastic job entertaining our Guests! Thanks again for a great show!

Durgy Spade is absolutely beyond a 5 star. My sister, a close friend of mine, and I, hired him as our MC and he delivered beyond what I had expected at each reception. Although my event was delayed by two hours, he performed magic tricks table to table to make sure everyone was well entertained.

Unfortunately, a lot of dads friends who couldn’t make it from across the world were made aware of how live and entertaining the party was. I cannot give Durgy Spade enough credit.

I loved his energy, spontaneity, and much more. I recommend him for any event or party which needs a MC. This guy will keep your guests energetic and it felt genuine. A lot of relatives of mine mentioned that my friend did an awesome job. I wish I could give him beyond 1000 stars.

My fiance and I were extremely stressed out about what to have to entertain our family and friends for our reception. We felt like we may need to spend tons of money by hiring professional dancers or of some sort but a friend recommended Durgy to me and that he would provide the interaction and energy we were looking for. I would hire Durgy in a heart beat again. He took the stress off my shoulders and made me feel like I can sit back and relax and let him play his strengths and people will be engaged. Best decision we made! We originally thought we'd ask our cousins to MC our reception, when our DJ suggested it would be smarter to hire a professional MC. We took his advice and reached out to MC Durgy. What a down to earth guy he is. We never met him in person prior to our event, just a 30 minute phone call reviewing over our itinerary. When we did finally meet him the night of the reception, its as if we've known him our whole lives. He is so friendly, professional and just hands down amazing. He stayed quite long and hosted games and a dance off. I would recommend MC Durgy to any couple. You won't regret it! He is worth every penny and more!
