Mahal Restaurant - Pakistan/Indian Food Hamilton

My favourite butter chicken joint. My family loves the Lahori fish. The owner was always extremely sweet and often made conversation as I waited for my food. My deepest condolences to the family on their loss. Please support this restaurant and be patient with them during this hard time - you won’t be disappointed.

The owner of the restaurant passed away recently and I really feel deeply pain and saddened by the news.
I knew him past 6 years and always provided great service and delicious food.
May Allah rest his bless soul in peace and grant him Jannah. Ameen

Been coming here for years and I love it. The food is always consistent and the staff are amazing. They recently just started halal pizzas, I tried the keema pizza and it was incredible.

Very disrespectful owner.sorry, but if you cannot even wait for me to look at your menu, and that I be given less than 5 seconds to decide (before asking me to 'hurry up'), I'm walking out.

Can’t comment on the atmosphere but I can tell you that when you ask for them to make your food spicy, they understand the assignment! Absolutely amazing chicken biryani and Nihari! I ate all the Nihari before a picture because I’m addicted…

Had an amazing time at Mahal! The cashier's friendly welcome set a great vibe. The Biryani is a flavor explosion—I could taste the expertise. Plus, the prices are fair for such a tasty treat. It's all halal too, which is a big win. Mahal is a must for Biryani lovers who want a genuine, wallet-friendly experience.

A regular customer of them, nice atmosphere, service and food. Pretty much tried everything in the menu and I really recommend their food.

I called mahal restaurant 5 mins ago I was ordering I asked her wats the total she misbehaved and cut the call I called again she said dont call here we are busy then why the hell u opend a store if u cant take orders pethatic this restaurant should be closed i am their customer since 15 yrs since they had restaurant downtown unacceptable behavior I have guests here now ordering from shawarma bec of their behavior restaurant should be banned

Called to place an order at around 7: 30 pm and was ordering first time ever from this restaurant but the lady hung up on me after a minute.
Absolutely zero customer service.
Would not bother to go here again!

This is one of my favorite places to eat in Hamilton. Their vegetable samosas are really yummy. If you like fish I recommend getting a spicy lahori dish. The people that work there are always friendly. Also don't forget to order dessert with it! The rice pudding is amazingly good there.

Most disgusting and terrible place, owner is extremely rude and ignorant person, rather than being polite and apologetic he was arguing to cover their own mistake. Typical privately owned business. Place is like a junk yard, dirty and disgusting. Stay away from this place

I ordered chicken masala and was told 25 minutes will be ready! I went to pick up the order wasn’t made! But the owner was rude and unorganized!
Needs to work on his communication skills and learn how to be nice with customers.
I will not be using this place anymore.
My lunch break was ended by commuting between my work and the restaurant that’s so disappointed

This is the last chance to get my dinner from them as this my 3 rd time food poisoning and I am done, poor taste and poor quality and poor food handling you guys will never hear my calls

Amazing food, amazing people. Please be patient as they aren't a fast-food place, and it shows with their food quality. I've been going there for almost 10+ years.

Definition of a hidden gem. I really enjoyed the chicken tikka masala and butter chicken. Don't forget the garlic naan!
