Mahogany Salon and Spa (Carleton Place)

Everyone was so lovely, and the jasmine green tea was delicious. Pam did a fantastic job cutting my curly hair! It was getting weighed down because I had let it go too long without a cut. She brought the ringlets back, and made sure to check that I was happy with what she was doing, every step of the way! Can't wait to come back the next time I'm in CP!

I spent a lovely morning at Mahogany Salon and Spa in Carleton Place, and left with a wonderful manicure and pedicure provided by Kylie. Her love of what she does was evident by her attention to detail. Thank you, Kylie! You are definitely an asset to Mahogany.

I used to really like this place. The first poor experience I’ve had after YEARS of coming here was a Brazilian wax I received about a month ago which left a significant amount of long hair in the harder to reach areas.

I decided to give it another go as I’ve had such good experiences here before. I scheduled a half leg wax, Brazilian and a pedicure. I rearranged my work schedule for this a month in advance, prepaid for the cab to CP and arranged a ride afterwards.

Today I received an email that my esthetician for my wax tomorrow is sick and unable to work. A bit frustrating, I totally get that these things happen and wanted to make it work. Whoever I spoke to on the phone was initially kind and offered me a couple options, one of which was moving the wax up a few hours and waiting an hour for my pedicure, or moving the leg wax later, having the pedicure in between and the Brazilian after.

I was initially interested in the first option and asked if I could book a service in between, but after finding out that wasn’t possible, I inquired about the option of changing the order of the services like she had mentioned.

Her response was “I understand, but these are the scheduling options we have. ” I said that I was wondering about it because she had mentioned doing something like that, apologized and asked her to explain the options again. She again responded as if I was being difficult for inquiring about something that she had just suggested to me.

I know customers can be horrible sometimes, I work in customer service myself. I do my best to be polite and understanding when dealing with customer service people, so it was very upsetting to be treated like I was giving her a hard time when I was just trying to work within their circumstances.

I decided in the end to cancel all of the services to save myself the money I would’ve spent, the hassle of rearranging my cab rides and changing my work schedule all over again. It’s not worth being treated like a Karen for no reason when I can wax myself.

I took an appointment for today (1 week before) with hair dresser and mentioned that I had a party on Sunday. Today I got a call that hair dresser is sick and don't have any available dates until next Saturday. They mention to customer if we reschedule the service or cancel the service we have to inform them 24 hours before. But they say it at last minute that it was cancelled. How is that fair? If they care about their customers they will find an alternative hair specialist who can take care off or you have to hire more people. Next time I won't even go with them as I am not satisfied with the service or letting customers know at last minute that the appointment got cancelled. I won't suggest to my friends and family members about getting services in mahagony carleton place.

Love Mahogany Salon in Carleton Place. They provide wonderful service, very professional and great staff. Thanks Kylie for a lovely relaxing time today.

I'd like to thank Sarah for doing my makeup for my wedding. Thank you for introducing me to false eyelashes! They're so much fun and they looked very natural. I didn't want to look overdone and Sarah made sure that my makeup was natural looking. Thx again Sarah!:)

I got my hair done and it turned out to dark.
I got it fixed but still not what I wanted. It's to bad, everyone is kind and friendly and the place is very nice and relaxing.

This was my first time at this place. The staff was very welcoming. Facilities were clean. Service was excellent. I highly recommend!

I was already a huge fan of Mahogany Spa after visiting the Stittsville location on multiple times. But I was totally wowed by the vista that awaited me on driving up to the Carleton Place location! Like visiting the mother ship! It's a larger location with beautifully groomed grounds but with the same friendly, efficient, professional service that Mahogany Spa is known for. I was a bit late for my appointment but my new stylist Nicole made me comfortable and gave me a fabulous haircut! Check her out @OttawaHairCreator. I will be back at this location for sure - total bliss!

The visit started with a glass of absolutely delicious black mango tea and a cookie, and then went on to a wonderful pedicure experience with April. Everything is sparkling clean, and I always feel confident that the services are being done safely and hygienically. When I was checking out, there was a slight miscommunication with the gal at the front desk, but the owner even called me to make sure that everything was ok, which was very much appreciated. Can't wait till my next visit!

Amazing service, I loved Pam as my stylist and will be going back. I don't think I have ever been happier with my hair. I got a balayage, chopped off some length, and got curtain bangs. My hair feels so vibrant and healthy and has so much movement now. Pam is the first stylist to give me bangs I actually like.

Love love love. Would recommend to all my friends and family.

I’ve been going to the Mahogany Spa in Carleton Place for 3 years and have been using Pam as my hair stylist. Normally her work is okay but recently I’ve had a bad experience with her. I was getting ready to leave the country and asked Pam to give me blonde hair. When I walked out of the spa I was a brunette. I was totally surprised and disappointed. During and after the hair appointment, Pam didn’t once mention she didn’t or couldn’t do blonde. I emailed Pam about the colour being wrong and never got a reply. Not an apology or even a “come back in and I’ll fix it. To her it was okay. I’m upset and feel taken advantage of. However, Pam and Mahogany were happy to take my money and tip. I guess you don’t get what you pay for.

Always professional. Expert service. The place is beautiful, relaxing and the service is all about the customer

Amazing facial with Irina. It was fantastic. My only issue was with the inability to leave tip as you can't add it to your payment and their ATM on the premise was not working. It is a disservice to their staff

I had highlights and a cut done by Krista. She took the time to really listen to what i wanted done with my hair, and I walked out of Mahogany with one of the best hair appointments I've ever had. I am so happy with the final results, I will be going back to see Krista again when the time comes.

Senior Stylist Mirlinda was amazing! After meeting with her for an initial consultation where I showed her pictures of my
aspirations, she not only made pre-cut me feel pretty, but took the time to understand what I was hoping to achieve.

The next day, I returned for service, which was peppered with lots of laughs, great conversation and thorough explanation as she creatively cut more than 6 inches off my long hair!

She totally gained my trust and gave me a whole new look, which I swear, makes me look 20 years younger and so fresh!

Thank you Mirlinda and the staff at Mahogany Spa! From the moment I stepped in to the moment I left, I was treated like a queen!

I went in for a lash lift service yesterday, overall the experience was good, explanation was well. Upon the completion of the service, only one side of my lash was looking somewhat good, the other side doesn't look like there is much difference. She told me that it is still wet and once it's dry it should curl more. I had to point out the residue glue on my eyelids and also removing them myself when I got home. There was also evidence of tint on my upper & lower lid when I woke up the following day. Not to mentioned there was still leftover glue at the base of my eyelash! It was not the result I was envision and now I am having doubts about trying their other services.
