Our go to Greek spot in east Markham, we've tried most of the dishes and have dined in, gotten take out, for both lunch and dinner. Can't go wrong with pork gyros, horiatiki salad, and a trio of dips

We ordered Pork gyros sandwich & Moussaka, both were really delicious. Sandwich was big enough with well grilled pork, Moussaka came with side grilled vegetables. Staff were quite friendly.

I ordered takeout last week, and the food was great! I definitely recommend the pork souvlaki and the Greek fries. It only took them 20mins to have my food ready from the time I placed my order. I will be ordering from them again!

Me and family love to go this greek restaurant for lunch and dinner. The food was good, service was good and price was reasonable.

Everything in this place is 5 stars. Open kitchen, family run, maintained clean. They have lots of mezze options, including many vegetarian plates as well. Their chicken souvlaki is the juiciest I have ever had. Definitely returning here. Keep up the good work.

I've seen this restaurant on the way home for a while now and have been meaning to try it. I finally went there last week and absolutely loved it. The beautiful interior and the whole ambiance. The staff were friendly. The food delicious. We shared the spanakota and we had pork souvlaki. Food came out very fresh. The pork was so moist and not dry. Some of the other places I tried, the meat is so dry it feels like I am chewing saw dust. This was NOT the case here. The tasziki was so good I wanted to eat it on it's own by the spoonfuls. The prices are very reasonable and I think on par with other Greek restaurants I've been to. I will definitely be back for more, maybe not everyday. Don't want the owners to think i am stalking them.

Really enjoyable Greek restaurant on Markham Main St. I had their chicken souvlaki dinner and wow… there was a lot to eat. Chicken very nice as were all the accompanying rice, potatoes and Greek salad. I also ordered pita and hummus and didn’t need to eat for the rest of the day. Superb little spot, and next time I’ll be more adventurous on the menu!

I love this place. The food tastes great, the people are friendly and it's fairly priced. This is the best place to get Greek food in Markham!

Really good food at an amazing price. You can't go wrong getting a chicken suvlaki dinner from here. You get alot of food for the price you pay and it is really good. We drive 30 mins each way to get food from here once in awhile. Its worth it.

Great food. More of a take put style place. Not many tables. Busy people coming in and out. But the food was really good.

Excellent food and service. The hummus and dips portions are very small in relation to the cost but I guess its what it is. We would recommend for a family dinner or even a small catering event.

Food quality is hard to match compared to other Greek food establishments.

They have a retro Coca Cola refrigerator, with beverages served in glass bottles, how awesome!

Short hours and they are too busy. I can't call in an order most of the time so I have to go in person. Food is ok that I return but the access to order is disappointing

Main Street Greek provides good tasting food at reasonable prices. The resturaunt is clean and staff are helpful. I ordered the pork souvlaki and the meat had good tasting flavours and cooked just right. The tzatziki garlic sauce was creamy good.

Had my daughters grad party catered from Main St Greek. We had Chicken skewers rice salad potatoes and veg with an assortment of starter dips. The food was EXCELLENT. The chicken which can normally get dried out on other places was so tender and the the food was not at all salty. And excellent service over the phone and when I picked up the catering. They were even kind enough to help me to my car with it. Pleasure to deal with and awesome food!

I ordered chicken Gyros dinner the potatoes taste bad, chicken, was also tasteless same as thepuce of baguette, and the rice a bit hard, and the salad little and it's pricey for, first and last time ordering here we end up throwing food in the bin! Very sad! Not a good day disappointing

Truly the best Greek restaurant in Markham! Every time I order from here the food has been amazing, fresh, and full of flavour.

Quality and portion size gone downhill the past year. Flavour is still good but they used to fill the entire container full, it’s now abt 3/4. See photo. Only 1 spoon was taken out. Should charge appropriately. Not worth it.

Ordered the chicken gyro in a pita and it was incredible! The chicken was well cooked with a little crunch from the charred bits. All the ingredients were fresh and the tzatziki was on par.

I'm looking forward to returning after Covid and sitting down to a true meal at Main Street Greek.

Great place for quality Greek food. I do find the food tastes better when you sit down there and eat vs take out and the portion size is smaller for take out. I like the different dips they have so fresh and tasty. Will return.

I sent my friends to this place with my highest recommendations. I go their often. This recommendation is always successful. The the food there is flavorable and the crew is attentive and cooperative. Whenever we visit this place we have a splendid evening. I recommend this place with pleasure.

Friendly staff, clean restaurant, good food and large portions. Had chicken souvlaki dinner but its definitely large enough for 2 people. Lots to take home (see photo). Only a 4 star as it seemed a bit long for food to arrive. Would go again though.

Not very good at all. With Mr. Greek, Greek Stop and Ithaca all within a 10 minute drive I would say go there. The food is horrible here. Never again. I would go to one of the other places. Not a Happy Camper!

First time trying out this restaurant, a takeout order during lockdown, the Chicken Gyro wrap was very good - full of flavour and lots of chicken. It seems like a family run restaurant and was very clean inside. Would go back and definitely recommend!

Came here last week with a friend. Was nice to find a place with distanced seating. Ordered a chicken souvlaki dinner. The meal was huge and definitely worth 16$. Would recommend, much better than the usual Mr. Greek. Definitely will return!

Back many times and it's still GREAT! Pic of the lemon chicken soup was after I had some. It's was so good. You won't be disappointed. Unlike another reviewer the portion size and pricing is well in line.

This is “THE” place for great Greek food. The service is very warm and welcoming and the place is amazingly clean. The food is always hot, fresh and plentiful. I don’t like lamb and this is the only place I have some when my son orders it. I used to drive downtown for Greek which we found was on the decline in quality while being over priced. This location gives a great value for the money you spend.

The Greek salad is so good that it does not stay on my plate very long. The coffee was hot and fresh and the dessert was super.

Good sides and good salad but burger was terrible.it was burnt and they did not ask how you wanted the meat.the toppings on the burger also were just parts of the salad.moderate prices and modern restaurant

Great greek restaurant in Markham which is hard to come by. Food portions are huge and it also comes with greek salad and garlic bread and super flavourful. Servers are friendly and there's outside seating during the summer. Check it out!

Amazing Greek food! I'm Greek and my family loves coming here when we want some authentic Greek food but don't wanna travel all the way downtown. There are occasional waits but the service is super quick and the food is always delicious (and not too expensive either). I'd definitely recommend trying Main Street Greek

The owner is really RUDE and cheap. Every time I have ordered for a party, food is always missing (3 different events) and they say it wasn't! Don't get your food catered for parties here! All my friends and family use to order, but they wont go near the place after the owner was rude over the phone about our concerns.enough is enough!

Friendly staff. Great food! Seating is tight though and it can get loud at times. Their chicken Gyro on a pita is the best bang for your buck on the menu for something like $8 but for some reason they don't offer it on rice for an equivalent price ($16 gyro on rice), which is something I can't wrap my head around and really too bad as it prices out people who don't eat bread.

The food is always great and lives up to the expectations of anyone having been born and raised with original Greek recipes and traditions. The menu is simple and focused on what they do well and is expected of a Greek owned and run family restaurant. The service is prompt and friendly. The meat is always tender and the salads always crispy fresh. Great spot for a bite out with friends, lunch with business colleagues or supper with family. Having eaten here over a dozen times I can honestly say that I never had a bad experience.

Terrible service from rude waiter, food was not worth the price we paid it was all salty, potatoes were mushy, rice was very oily, and the octopus wasn't worth the price. Found myself tearing up from all the smoke due to poor ventilation. Never again

This place is my favored. I go to plenty of restaurants but to this one I keep coming back again and again. The crew is very cordial and the food they offer is so good. I never decline to have a good meal here. I recommend this place with pleasure.

Food was pretty good. Really like the meatballs and rice and chicken gyro in pita bread. Server asked if I was done with my food and I said yes and she kindly took away my plate. My partner hadn't finished her chicken gyro and then the lady just threw the bill on the table for us to pay. Like what? We were there for less than 30 mins. And it wasn't even busy. Lousy service.

We ordered the same items - pork gyro with salad and chicken souvlaki. Excellent! The pork was amazingly tender with crispy outer bits. The pita is also tender and delicious. Chicken souvlaki was moist with beautifully flavoured rice and potatoes. Even accommodated a child who wanted their chicken gyro "deconstructed". My only drawback was the salad dressing which is apparently a traditional style. Perhaps I'm not used to authentic Greek but I found it kind of bland. Will definitely absolutely go there again!

Best pork gyro on a pita that have had in a very long time. If your looking for solid authentic Greek food in Markham this is the place to go. The price is very reasonable for the proportion and it's not the cookie cutter prefab stuff that you get at most Greek counter restaurants. Would definitely go back.

Whether you take out or dine in, the service and food are fantastic. Closest you're going to get to authentic gyros in Markham. Go for the pork gyro with extra tzatziki.
