Had a birthday party for 30 people
Tiffany did an amazing job basically helping the entire party by herself, very friendly, great experience overall!

Went there for a birthday dinner. Sat outside, no one came out, i had to go in and inform server that we were outside. So we wait, finally they come.and take drink order. Few minutes later food order was taken. Shift change, server one leaves. Server 2 was much better until i sent my steak back for being undercooked. I asked for well done and it wasnt. She actually asked me to point out where the pink was, to which surprised the hell out of the rest of the family in attendance. Portions werent that great. Barely any vegetables. Potatos were dry. Basically we wont be returning cause of this lousy experience. Oh btw if you are the owner of this restaurant. 2 things additional, 1. Make sure ur seats arent ripping apart where someone can fall through the chair, 2nd. Make sure your customers are not smoking within the front entrance of the restaurant. At least 30 ft from the entrance. #endrant

Not the best service the nachos we ordered were not baked the cheese was still cold the server is very forgetful. My first time and I was very disappointed.

We came here for dinner the server Annie was incredible. The patio was busy but she kept us entertained! She recommended us some nice drinks and snacks and was fast with the drinks. The food was well done. Washrooms need to be redone. The server made us laugh a lot. She did well for such a busy night.

Bit expensive. Compared to dish charge quantity served is bit less then required.
Quality of food is excellent!

Food was cold, portion size was lacking, service was poor. We only ordered apps, which took forever to get to our table.

Chicken burger was amazing and all topping were fresh. Fries were perfect. French onion soup was great. Server was sweet and on the ball and we didnt wait for refills. We will be back for sure.

Very delicious brunch which serve on both Saturdays and Sundays. Portion is huge and ingredients are very fresh. Each plate comes with lots of fruits. For the size, price is excellent and the restaurant didn't jack up the price nor downsize on portion due to that minimum wages hike which I was very surprised. But even if the owner does increase the price a bit, it is still definitely worth going to this place!

VERY good bar. Wonderful atmosphere and people. They know when to cut people off. I wish them much success!

If this place is what they say it is - "an upscale restaurant" I must be on a different planet! Servers too busy to even let you know how long the wait is going to be - left for some KFC down the road.

Where do I start. Drinks, my beer was flat and didn't taste that good. My wife ordered salmon with rice and veg, the salmon was hard and over cooked, the veg was raw, extremely hard, certainly not worth the $25. My burger wasn't too bad but the fries were not fresh, frozen and over cooked, again not worth the $19. There were no condiments on the table either. Will never return to this place, absolutely over priced and not good food at all, in fact it was a terrible experience.

I didn't know branch only served on weekends, but they kindly made branch for us on Monday! And it was really delicious!

Business sometimes is about the people who work for you and the consistency of the service they provide. This business unfortunately is affected by the inconsistencies of its staff. Case in point on Thursday May 5th at 6: 56 pm I called for reservations for this Sunday May 8th. Knowing it was Mother's Day I wanted to bring my wife and kids there for brunch and didn't want to leave anything to chance. I was told that I didn't need reservations and that it was ok to just walk in. I said I wanted to make sure there was room. I was told that they had plenty of space and that it wouldn't be an issue.

So in Sunday we came in and saw plenty of space in the inside and some outside. Because we found it a bit cold outside we thought best to be inside. A few of the waitresses looked at us strange maybe they were overwhelmed and one told us we had to make reservations. I was very upset at this and we left after a discussion with the manager about business practices. We won't be coming here again.

Good news is we went up the street to Sunset Grill which was full to the brim and we got seats after a few minutes and had a great meal.

Came here on a Saturday afternoon for brunch on the patio. They were very shortstaffed. There was only 1 server who was looking after the patio. We asked for water but never got it. We ordered the bottomless coffee but it was impossible to flag someone down to ask for refills. As for food, I ordered the veggie delight omelette which came with potatoes, fruits and toast. They never offered us any butter or jam for the toast and we had to ask for it. Food took almost 45mins to come. The food is very average and not worth the price. One thing worth noting is that they have complimentary wifi.

I had visited here for brunch about a year ago, and returned today, post-pandemic.
My wife and I looked down at all the cigarette butts outside the front door, but proceeded inside anyhow.
I was surprised when I opened the wrapped cutlery to see a really dirty. I asked the waitress for another set and it also was really dirty - dried on! Anyhow, the breakfast veggie omelets we ordered were overcooked/dry and the service was really poor.
For a 2 person meal almost $50 was way too much to stomach this (had to run to toilette afterwards-what does that tell you?) Sorry there are way better places to get better food and services elsewhere!

Good reliable breakfast. Service is very good. The decor is a bit beat up though, since it is a popular pub at night. If you're fine with some roughed up walls, then it's a good place for brunch.

We dined in for brunch on family day. It was a nice family restaurant vibe inside. Friendly staff. The service was slow but it could be due to the family day rush.

We ordered peameal eggs Benedict and western wrap.
1) eggs Benedict was OK, they really low balled us with the hollandaise sauce.
2) western wrap was also okie. Nothing amazing.

Amazing place for brunch where they don’t cheap out on the fruit. Service was great, and great variety of options for a big weekend breakfast.

Family of 5 went for breakfast. The good: fadt friendly greeting and excellent service by the wait staff. We sat indoors as it we were warned that bees/wasps were on the patio - really appreciated the advanced warning. Our order was taken quickly and continued awesome service at the table. The bad: 2 orders of eggs Benedict came with the poached eggs being hard. We didn't want to wait for the kitchen to fix the order so we plowed through it. My Belgium waffles Supreme was ok but a bit dry - not enough whip cream for a quarter of the waffle and no syrup or sauce on top. The fruits were fresh and delicious though. Gave a generous tip nonetheless as the service was good.

It was a nice experience, the portions were big enough to share, service was good! The Stella beer was not cold enough though!

My boyfriend and I came Thursday evening for Karaoke. It was our first time here. The cook is a keeper our food was great we both enjoyed the calamari and burger. Your bartender was lovlely and van clearly hold her own against a rowdy crowd. Give them both a raise. We will be coming back.

The service was excellent. The chicken strips were awful. The chicken wings overcooked. The fries were frozen. The burger sloppy wet. 98.00 for frozen food that was over fried. Never again

Service was very poor. They get you seated in the patio but nobody comes to take orders or serve even water. If you don't have staff, why even ask people to be seated? The "lemonade" tasted just yucky. When asked, it seems it was washed out of the fountain.
Rest of the food was fresh.

Didn’t have to wait to get a table. We got the calamari to start which was great and me and my friends got burgers to be honest it was okay. Very filling and couldn’t really get through it. Loved the fries!

Service was friendly food not so good had farmers sausage it tasted like it was boiled no flavor and mushy.

There is so much I can say about this place but the one thing I will say if ur there on the right night u can have the best night of your life. The customers r amazing and the new bartenders r even better

I think that the bartender is way too overworked and has no assistance because she was very short with us and almost didnt serve us. We spent some time at the restaurant to catch up, but got rushed to get our and clear the area prior to closing time.

Nice spot on Markham Main, inside is a bit dated but the drinks are cheap and food is alright. Bit tougher to host bigger groups and there isn't much of a patio experience (at least nothing heated) - nice in the summertime.

Diet coke was flat. Hamburger was not tasty. The chandelier in the sunroom hadn't been dusted in ages. I would not go back.

I had a fantastic experience in this place. We loved the amazing ambience and the meals. The staff members are super amiable. I am glad we ultimately managed to visit this spot.

Visited the mansion for our first brunch there and it was FABULOUS!
Service was warm, friendly and welcoming. We were seated in the sunroom which is a wonderful area surrounded by windows but a tad cold; our server brought over a portable heater which quickly remedied the situation - AMAZING! Portions are huge - we enjoyed the Farmer's Big Breakfast and the Mansion Super Breakfast. Both featured properly cooked to order eggs, really tasty home fries, bacon, sausage and an abundance of really fresh fruit. Prices accurately reflect the freshness and abundant portions. Casual atmosphere. Warm and attentive service. This neighbourhood gem is now our go-to spot for brunch, hands down.

Our server Anne was so lovely! We're so happy to find this gem for brunch! I got the eggs benny's with smoked salmon topped caviar. It was sooooooooo good! Highly highly highhhhly recommend!

My new go-to spot for breakfast. The staff are super friendly, there’s never a wait to get seated, the food is delicious AND they give you a ton of fruits. I must mention that the coffee is also really good. The atmosphere and music was also very enjoyable. Initially I went to Sunset Grill and after seeing a huge line I left. So happy I stopped by for breakfast. Will be coming back for sure!

Yesterday morning was the first time my kids and I went to this restaurant. The decor was very cozy and our waitress was patient and friendly as we were trying to make up our minds on what to order. The service was fast but the prices of some of the items were a bit pricey for brunch however, the portions were large. The quality of the food was good except for a few things. I ordered the Farmers Breakfast. The toast had barely any butter and the over easy eggs were cold and a bit undercooked, which is a health concern. I asked for more butter and mentioned that the eggs were cold. My toast was actually replaced but I guess the waitress didn't hear what I said about the eggs and thus, i didnt enjoy my eggs. I would give this restaurant another visit, but would try the lunch menu.

Nice patio out front - dark and cozy inside. Breakfast is delicious, generous portions with lots of fruit on the side. A favourite local pub!

Great spot for cold beer, delicious food, and fantastic service. The staff and regulars made me feel at home during my very first visit.

The wings were made just right and the fries were actually fries. Not those crispy refried things you find at most places. They are fresh and never frozen.

The staff are friendly and kind. I could not ask for better service. I chatted with two regulars who were decent guys. Overall, I had a great time. So much that I will definitely come here again and again and again!

I went to the brunch with my family including my 5 year old daughter. Food looked great, full of fruits and eggs not only looked great taste was even better than the look! The server was amazingly friendly, too. She even entertained my daughter, my daughter almost finished the whole egg Benedict! It was the best way to start beautiful Sunday on the patio.

If we're doing the one word game and I can only use one word to describe Main's Mansion, I would choose sunny. Sunny interior, sunny disposition, sunny side up. Sunny all around. Made for an all around happy, sunny brunch that left us feeling brighter when we walked out the doors.

Main's Mansion is a classic resto-pub in the body of a vintage house on old-school Main Street Markham. One of the only places to open beyond 9pm in Markham, I'm sure it's got its fair share of loyal night owls that come in for a pint. In the late morning, it opens its doors to the brunch population with a selection of favourites ranging from omelettes, to eggs benedict, to French toast.

Of all the similar pub restaurants in the city, I feel like Main's Mansion's got a few distinctions. Firstly, it's got a lovely indoor patio for those days where you want to feel like you're outside without actually feeling like you're outside. Secondly, it's got some of the brightest, tastiest brunches I've had in recent memory. Flavourful french toast loaded with cinnamon, eggs cooked to perfection, and my personal winner, loads of fresh hand-cut fruit. We replaced home fries with regular fries and those were amazing too.

Lastly, service wasn't just good, it was memorable. There was a mix-up between two of my family member's plates, resulting in us thinking a side of bacon was missed. Even though we fixed the mix-up and nothing was actually missed, our waitress still brought us an extra side of bacon. That, on top of frequently checking up on us for coffee refills, made her awesome in our eyes.

Though this place might be old, it's definitely one of my new favourite brunch places. It's great to find these places that have been around forever but still exceed your expectations.

Absolutely loved it. Food was fresh and delicious. Serve was pleasant. But one suggestion would not to serve soft drinks in a plastic beer advertisement cup. Put them in a glass.

Friday night out with my family. There was a great band and the restaurant was packed. Service was excellent too. Every once in a while the server came to check on us, we were all happy. Food was great, atmosphere was great, so much fun going around the whole restaurant, everybody seemed to be having great time. Highly recommend to everyone. Even my 2 young age kids were having fun with the music!

I have been going for years and normally would give them a 5 star.
Went there about a week ago and all of the meals (for the adults) had something wrong with it. The server was amazing and totally took all the problems with stride. To be honest, it was the chef, being MIA because we waited a long time for our food and after we asked about our food it still took another 15-20mins.
Okay so the bads.
- The burger that we ordered wasn't cooked all the way thru, the middle was still pink and gummy. Luckily the person eating it decided to take a quick look, but unfortunately had already had a bite of raw ground meat.
- French onion soup that was ordered was lukewarm. From what I know about French onion soup, it is supposed to be hot and bubbling with a nice melted cheese on top. This it wasn't.
- my nachos didn't come out for awhile, it felt that it was forgotten. Then when it finally arrived more than half of the lettuce was that brown/reddish colour that happens when it's oxidized and there were bits of lettuce that was way past its shelf life. At that point I was starving so I just scooped all I could off and ate my nachos.

The goods. The kids loved their meals and their burger and chicken was cooked all the way thru. My nachos had a good amount of cheese on it.

I am not adding pictures because this is honestly our first bad experience there and the server was amazing. The food is your typical bar food but it's usually pretty good and the drinks are reasonably priced. I probably won't go back for food with the family again but maybe at another time when food isn't such a "need" and I can wait for my snack (instead of going for a dinner with two hungry kiddos).

A great vibe, having a low day head here the regulars and the bar tender will know what to do. Loved the place and would go there anytime.

Pretty large portions. Lots of fruits with breakfast plates. Pretty reasonable price. Food quality was ok.

Cosy, feel as if one has travelled back in time. Good coffee and delicious soup. Friendly and efficient bar lady! A must to visit if one is in Markham village.
