Really nice staff member, good service. Just felt the food was more Canadian-Thai than authentic Thai. Great cozy place to have food

Mai's is located on what almost appears to be a side street, which has a cluster of quaint shops, a pub, and this great little place.

Inside there are seats for 30, and it's small in size but big in ambience. The server was friendly, prompt, and greeted regulars like old friends, even remembering one couple who apparently hadn't been in in a while.

I had the green curry with chicken, which comes with a portion of jasmine rice. The curry is like a soup with broccoli, carrots, onion, green beans, and Thai basil. It's fragrant and very tasty. I have had this particular dish all over the place (Toronto, Owen Sound, Orillia, Orangeville, Edmonton) and this is easily the best. I generally like to mix the rice into the curry and did the same here.

I ordered some chicken pad Thai to take with me for dinner later and I anticipate it will be just as yummy.

I highly recommend Mai's and shall definitely return next time I'm in London.

I’ve been here many times and the food is amazing! I always get the cashew chicken. The good is so fresh, healthy and I love the big portion sizes. The owners are also very friendly

EDIT:

AUTHENTIC. Their chicken fried rice is amazing. Freshly cooked to perfection and lots of amazing spices. I requested that they make it spicy, and they did not disappoint! Gave me an amazing chilli sauce to go with the rice!

Friendly customer service and the vibe is very calming and relaxing with soothing music playing inside.
Definitely going to be back to try out the Thai curry and pad Thai

Unfortunately appetizers were too bland for my taste…. But I will come back to try the pad Thai and Thai curries.
Dine-in is peaceful and I love the location. Employee is friendly and the restaurant has an overall calming vibe.

My most favorite place to order Thai food in London. When I order take out, they are quick to prepare my order and it is usually ready by the time I drive there. When we dine in, the service is amazing and the food is hot and delicious. Absolutely in love with the restaurant staff and food.

My bookkeeper took me here for a business lunch. It is very small inside with only room for about 20 people at 5 tables. It is always packed because the food is AMAZING! We started with the appetizer spring rolls - delicious. Next we enjoyed the chicken and seafood Pad Thai. It was simply amazing and the portion was very large. We both are large men and could only get through half of it. Fortunately, they boxed it up so we can take it home and enjoy it later. For only $14 per plate, it was unbelievable. I will certainly eat here again and further I plan to use it for take out when we work late and don't have time to make dinner! Try it, you will love it! One of Wortley Village's best kept secrets.

Not a review of the Thai food so look elsewhere for that. Pretty poor breakfast (wouldn't have been my first choice for typical diner breakfast, but friend recommended it so gave it a try). Oily pretty flavourless pancakes and meager sized scrambled eggs and ham portions. Maybe fine for Thai food, but give the breakfast a skip.

Nice dining experience. Tasty food. Generous amounts of Shrimp and Chicken in the Pad Thai. Exceptional server.

There is no consistency in their degree of spicy food. We ordered last month one spicy dish and one medium dish and it was OK. We ordered this time the same thing but it was more spicy and we were unable to eat it. We reported this to the owner and she didn't offer any help. Sorry, I will not not recommend this place to anyone.

Delicious neighbourhood Thai joint. The vegetable curry and chicken pad thai are always go to’s for me! The crispy wontons are also always enjoyed. Also love how affordable it is!

Owned by two sisters and all ladies in the kitchen we learned during our first visit. Amazing food, great service and price was very reasonable especially for quality and quality. We will become regulars for sure.

We were staying nearby and popped in for a late breakfast. Very friendly service and good, flavorful breakfast in traditional style. We had hoped to go back for dinner one evening but didn't make it. Very reasonable prices.

I ordered eggs Benedict, they brought out a plate that had chicken gravy instead of Hollandaise sauce. They told me it was home made Hollandaise, that's why it looked so different. It was grey and watery and tasted like chicken gravy. They could have just told the truth, that they didn't have the right sauce. I'd have ordered something different. They used to be good.

I consistently crave this food. Mai's is a must visit in London, On! You must try the Tom Yum Soup

Everything was wonderful, food was piping hot and very flavourful. The spring rolls were super hot when served and delicious. My ginger beef had a nice kick from the ginger slivers throughout the dish. My husband's Pad Thai was good also, just needed a little more sauce to give it a little more flavour punch. Portion sizes were great too.

Last time I went here the food was better.or perhaps not. This time I ordered a salad and Pho (not the best combo but it was an early lunch and I didn't want to overeat). First, I ordered a water and a ginger tea. Got the tea (that took a while) and no water. The mango salad appeared to be a ubiquitous choice amongst other diners. I actually wanted to try the papaya salad, but the server vigorously recommended the mango salad. Mai's mango salad (huge portion!) did not use the freshest ingredients (e.g. Iceberg lettuce and sweet red pepper.gah!) and is created around a Western palate. The mango was cut into thicker slices rather than julienned and I couldn't detect any traditional flavors such as fish sauce or chilis.it was overwhelmingly sweet and bland (with a hint of lime) and if there were any roasted nuts, they didn't make it to my plate. The Pho was a mistake on my part as that's better had at a Vietnamese restaurant. Rather than having the warm flavor complex of lovingly simmered bones, onions, ginger and spices that you'd expect to taste, the broth was just overly salty. Missing too were the thin slices of raw beef and in their place were little cooked chunks of gristly beef.about 4 of them. The noodles were par for the course, but yeah, a hearty Pho is all about the broth! The broth is supposed to be a joyful mosaic and this one was so salty and flavorless, that I couldn't finish it. The washroom was not great. You figure that this early in the day (I was the first guest), the washroom would be clean and well-stock for the day.nope! The sink was dirty and there was only one paper towel left on the roll (the towel dispenser was broken, so diners need to touch the roll to get a sheet.ick). Anyway. I don't really get why the what I was hoping for delightful Thai flavors have been so dumbed down, but based on what looked to be regulars here, it makes sense. The food had no brain, no heart and that was my last visit.
