I went here on my birthday for their deluxe shellac or gel manicure and it came off within a week. That’s never happened to me with gel or shellac. And they also only gave me the regular manicure experience even though we paid for deluxe.

However, no hate to this place at all! The service was good, everybody was very friendly and nice, you can order drinks while you’re having your service done. The interior is very aesthetic as well. But if you want a nice experience and a long lasting mani/pedi - I wouldn’t recommend this place. It’s just nice for Instagram pictures.

I just came in for a coffee and to do some work on my laptop but the staff were super friendly and accommodating.

I love coming to Majestys Pleasure! I always love giving myself a special treat and I feel like a queen sitting in their fancy salon! Totally reccomed going for a girls or friends day and getting some drinks while they pamper you! Prices are a bit high hence the 4 stars but still totally worth it!

Had the best manicure with polish at this beautiful salon. Very clean and bright and the service was excellent. Would definitely recommend

Stunning place, so many colour and treatment options. Lovely staff. Very relaxed. Would definitely recommend

I’m not a nail girlie (I’ve had maybe 5 manicures in my life) but I wanted to get my nails done for my wedding and I am so happy I found MP. They did an amazing job, my nails looked fabulous for the big day, and they lasted through my 20-day honeymoon. The team is lovely and detailed, the space is unlike any other nail salon I’ve ever seen (more life a cute bar than a salon) and they deliver an amazing experience.
29 September 2023 16:52
I have passed this place many times over the years, and finally booked a service! I got my pedicure done here for my wedding and had such a wonderful and relaxing experience, the ambience was great, the service was great and the mocktail was fabulousp!
15 September 2023 21:22
The top coat they use will yellow within a week and the polish chips within a few days.
Will not be returning. People have referred to this place as a tourist trap and I finally understand why.
13 July 2023 10:56
Super overrated and overpriced for the quality and service. I’d save my money and go to a regular nail salon with better work. Its a fun experience to try once but not somewhere I would go again.
20 May 2023 18:33
It was fine here; the staff was friendly; the inside is cute.

I didn't see anywhere on my booking or on the website that the manicures at this location are done waterless - I wouldn't have necessarily chosen to book if I knew it was waterless (experienced it before at gimmicky vacation place and it was kinda painful and uncomfy).

Because it's waterless, the trimming and pushing of the cuticles doesnt clean as much as it does when they're softened up, your hands feel pretty dry and raw by the end of it, and the cuticles look kinda inflamed since they get pushed back without water or any kind of softening first. They just kinda go right to work with the tools as soon as you sit down.

They also don't encourage or tell you to wash your hands in between any steps, so at the end you're being massaged with your own nail dust and dead skin mixed with cream. I haven't seen this anywhere else as places usually ask you to wash your hands once they're done filing and cuticle trimming.

I'd recommend being super alert and proactive if you do book here, asking if you can get up to wash your hands and keep them under running water for a bit during the service so your fingers and cuticles soften up; I did and after I did that the manicurist found a lot more stuff to push/trim and it felt a lot better.

For the price I thought they'd at least match their process at the other location (unless both locations very recently switched to waterless, but last time I was in Yorkville it was normal with water bowls).

Love the King west location! Very cute decor and the setup is great. We tried the champagne papis and they were delicious.
Regular manicures and the Polish lasted over a week with no chips! The service was friendly, patient and lovely!

WOULD IT KILL YOU GUYS TO PICK UP THE PHONE? Or respond back to your voicemails?

If you're going to run a promotion with very little detail advertised - at least have your phone lines open or website assistance of some sort. It's BEYOND A MYSTERY how this business is still going! Seeing unhappy clients leaving their reviews - looks like my girls and I dodged a major bullet!

It'd be a miracle if someone responds back to this review.
06 February 2023 13:20
The first time I came I received wonderful service. I came back twice afterwards and both times was not offered a drink or water.
31 January 2023 18:54
Cute little spot to get pampered! More on the expensive side, but worth it once in a while when you want to treat yourself.
12 January 2023 0:34
The service itself was good (4/5) but the experience was a 2/5. The girls at the front just seemed short except the 6 times they asked us if we wanted a drink (after we told them we would let them know). We told them it was our first time and they didn’t react or explain anything. Just gave a half smile and told us to sit. I would have expected a little bit of a tour since it’s an experience or even just a 30 second explanation of what to expect, where the washrooms are, ask if we wanted water and let us know that our aesthetician would come grab us. All in all for how expensive it is, I’m not impressed.
31 December 2022 12:33
Loved my experience here! I came in for a signature manicure and pedicure using a voucher for the first time and was extremely relaxed. Prices for the services are on the higher side, so I’d come as a treat (rather than for regular service.) They had a lovely selection of holiday cocktails for $5 (yum!), and I felt well taken care of. Shout out to Ellie and Christine who did my nails, and Kayla for cashing me out at the end of the night.
04 December 2022 22:33
You’re pretty much just paying for the experience and decor.after two days of having my toes painted, they had started to chip.i made sure to be extremely careful when letting them dry and even quadruple checked that they were dry and not chipped.i’m pretty disappointed since i have an event in less than 2 days
28 November 2022 14:09
Booked the neutrals promo. Thank you to Mersedeh and all the staff for a fun afternoon with my girlfriends love the nails drinks atmosphere
15 October 2022 0:30
It is very over priced with sub par service. If I am paying for a $60 manicure I like a full treatment: soak hands, maybe a scrub, massage. At majesty’s pleasure they don’t soak your hands. Meaning the rip the cuticles out and it does hurt. I don’t typically want pain with a spa treatment. The person working on my nails randomly wiped out a brush to remove nail polish from my finger nail edges. It was not a sanitary brush. Where this is all going, Toronto has many places to get your nails done. If you want a affordable nail service, there are many good places out there. If you want fancy there are many places out there as well. For instance I had a wonderful manicure and pedicure at the shangri la hotel.
24 September 2022 9:31
Made a booking reservation with Cara (sent through contract and everything). They took ~5 days each time to respond. Finally when I booked it in, they messaged me two days later (less than a week before a big client event) that they had sold my date/time and put a little footnote "Availability is subject to change". I had originally started the booking process on July 22nd for August 16th. Just received their cancellation today (August 10th). Wouldn't recommend any group events at this location.
04 September 2022 19:41
I had a great time, relaxing experience, and the ambiance was just great. I feel bad that I didn’t leave a more proper tip but you guys are really great and professional. I will visit again sometime soon.thank you all!
29 August 2022 2:10
Went for a pre wedding bride and bridal party mani-pedi. I got shellac for both. It’s been 2 weeks and it’s still flawless. My girl was very sweet and patient. I’m squirmish and indecisive with my nail colour. Great experience. It was really cool sitting at a bar, sipping on bubbles, getting my nails done.
28 August 2022 4:39
The overpricing is not justifiable.
I had previously gone to another place for a pedicure (as a gift) where they butchered my toes so I decided to pay more (double of a regular place) to come here. I imagined that for $100 pedicure they would do a thorough job and get all the sticky points off my nails. I told the girl even to please fix those issues because they were hurting. She did not and I am still in incredible pain.
I called them to let them know and they said "send us an email to look at it" I did and I still haven't heard back from them. It's been a week.and if anybody knows nail pain, you can't wait a week to fix that problem. And also the lighting in the pedicure area isn't the best since it's tucked away, I thought I was getting a different colour and it wasn't until I left the place that I realized I had a dark green on that I hate.
If they had actually offered to fix my nails I wouldn't have written this review, but the fact that I spent $100 thinking it would be the best pedicure ever and it didn't amount to even half of it, it's so incredibly disappointing. Even more so their unwillingness to make it right.
Places like Hard Rock Nails are incredibly nice, they charge less than half the price, give an amazing foot massage too with it and are way more thorough with nail health and ingrowns. Lesson learned.
25 August 2022 21:10
I’ve been here a couple times now and it is so nice! The atmosphere is so cute, the quality of my nails are so nice and you actually feel like you’re being pampered! And you can drink ;) 10/10 highly recommend.
22 August 2022 5:22
I went to Majesty's Pleasure in Yorkville today. This was my first experience and it was not enjoyable. The service I had was a rejuvenating facial. It was a very bad. The woman doing the service must have been new or very inexperienced. She started the service at 1: 07 and ended at 2: 00 (It was supposed to be a one hour service, I did not realize that the getting ready and under the sheet was counted as part of the service). The extractions were actually painful, I almost screamed. The actual facial massage was so much worse than the ones I have had previously for 1/3 of the cost. I also wiped under my eyes after the service and I still had makeup come off?

I don't mind paying for services if they are worth it. This would mean that an experienced person performed the service. I believe the person who performed my service today was inexperience and definitely not worth the high price. You market yourself as a top notch spa. I did not receive a top notch spa service today. Very disappointed and unhappy. My daughter in law had a manicure at your spa yesterday and she was told by the woman completing the service that she had just graduated and had only worked at the Yorkville location for a month. Once again that is fine however, you should have graduated pricing. If you are putting inexperienced people in to complete the services you should not be charging top of the grid prices. Her service was also not great.
18 July 2022 12:55
I received a signature gel mani here last week and unfortunately within 3 days I already had 3 chipped/peeling nails. I contacted someone from their customer service team who was very kind and helpful and was able to book me in to get the chipped nails redone for free. However, 2 days following this, all my nails, including the redone ones, started to peel off as well. I'm quite a bit disappointed by this, because by paying a premium for their atmosphere I was also expecting premium services. I have had many gel manicures done by small local salons that have lasted me weeks, rather than days. I really love the vibe of Majesty's Pleasure and I would like to return but unfortunately I don't see that happening anytime soon if I'm to receive a service similar to my last one. Im writing this review in the hopes that MP can take some action to bring their services to the same level of quality as their atmosphere.
06 June 2022 21:07
Could have been better, felt rushed. Woulda been nice to be asked if I wanted something to drink and not having to ask myself.
01 June 2022 10:53
We had a naked pedicure done at Majesty’s Pleasure with Jay & Ellie and they were awesome! Great service and atmosphere! Highly recommended. We will be visiting soon! Thank you Jay & Ellie for the excellent service ️
19 April 2022 23:11
Everyone has an attitude for the price i’d expect much better service and not sitting shoulder to shoulder.
12 April 2022 6:40
I always get fantastic Mani/pedis here. Especially from Taylor and Mae. It's a little overpriced but the atmosphere is great. I also dislike that they sometimes change estheticians on you at the last minute. I'd rather be given a call that my esthetician is no longer available and make a choice whether to rebook the appointment or to go with someone else.
23 March 2022 1:09
I got a pedicure from them, walked home for 19 minutes and now my nails are fully ruined.the technician let me leave while they were still wet apparently and told me I was good to go.so expensive and not worth the money.
19 March 2022 17:17
Overall service was good and staff were friendly however, I was charged $15 extra for an 'accent' nail and I was never told about the extra charge. The 'accent' nail was not an accent or design it was one hand one colour and the other hand another shade of the same colour (plain colour). I asked my nail technician for this and wasn't told that there would be an added charge. This was my first time at this salon and only went for the $40 deal and ended up paying $70 because of the added $15 charge and tip. I just wish I was told because then I wouldn't have opted for the different colour on each hand.
22 February 2022 14:53
Having a drink while you get a pedicure is fun and all but the prices are extreme for not much of a difference. I used a $50 gift card and still paid $80, so $130 for a pedicure and an Aperol Spritz. My suggestion is so get a gel pedicure elsewhere then go to a restaurant and get 5 Aperol Spritzes.
06 February 2022 6:36
Went with a group of three. Given the wrong info at booking, couldn't have the services we wanted. Services we did have were average - at best. Pedi chairs and bucket set up is certainly not what I expect for the price. Could have done a better job on polish myself. Overall we were unsatisfied. Thinking about trying the other location but not sure now. If this is what we can expect for that price I would rather go to any place on any corner that isn't charging luxury spa prices for a strip mall service. We were told a manager would be contacting us and no one bothered.
17 January 2022 20:02
I tried contacting their support team directly instead of leaving a bad review but its been almost two weeks and they haven't responded. This was the most painful and unprofessional manicure I have ever gotten. My nails were all cut up on the sides and I had to tell the aesthetician numerous times to stop because she was hurting me. I usually get my nails done at ten spot but I wanted to try this place because it seemed so cute but it was the worst service I have ever gotten and I was genuinely scared for most of the appointment because it hurt so much.
02 January 2022 10:51
Fatemeh did an amazing job! She shaped my nails perfectly, helped pick the best base colour for my french design, and her attention to detail for the french design was incredible. So happy and had a wonderful experience as always:)
28 December 2021 3:18
I went with my friend. The atmosphere of the salon and the service was great! Especially, my nail technician was Yuna. She was so kind and chose the color of my nails. It was really cute, and I liked the nail design so much. I will make a reservation with Yuna when I go again! I will definitely come back to this salon.
22 December 2021 9:35
EDIT: I was offered a complimentary service to resolve the issues I had during my original service and they did an awesome job. I got a gel manicure and the tech ensured everything was done perfectly - shape, cuticles, even colour. Thanks for reaching out to have me come back in!

I was incredibly unimpressed with this manicure. The nail polish has rough texture to it, my nails were cut and shaped unevenly, and my cuticles were not evenly removed. I came home and literally redid it myself….
17 December 2021 14:24
I booked my partner and I a manicure and pedicure for his 30th birthday. The atmosphere was amazing and the staff were so attentive. They even gave us complimentary sparkling wine and a birthday card. My nail technician Yuna went above and beyond. As someone who doesn't do these often I was very impressed and she for sure changed my mind and I would book with her again.
21 November 2021 16:13
The staff were friendly. Deandre was so fun and engaging. The place is gorgeous and the bar is worth a visit
05 November 2021 8:58
An amazing experience! Nooshin did my manicure and pedicure. She was very freindly and professional. My nails look great.
07 March 2021 1:22
This was my first time at Majesty's Pleasure and I had a great experience! Went in for an advanced design gel manicure. The environment was clean and I had my own nail tools. I asked for a plaid manicure and my nail tech Clara went above and beyond to give me exactly what I asked for, helped me choose complimentary shades and made sure I was happy with the design every step of the way. It's been a few days since my appointment and I really like whatever gel polish they use because my nails feel great & healthy. Overall, happy with the experience and results!
03 March 2021 0:12
Great spot to spoil yourself. They are on the pricey side for what you get but this isn't a place you go to every week (in my opinion). It's a splurge spot to treat yourself (bachelorette, birthday, promotion, etc). They also will have great deals on Groupon. Who doesn't love having a drink and getting their nails done? Best of both worlds!
21 February 2021 3:30
My mother took me here for the staycation special, after she had visited once before, (it was my first time here) and was pleasantly surprised with the quality and service i received from Jay. He was very attentive and gave me one of the best manicures I've ever had! I will definitely be coming back to this salon! (I got the colour 'bombshell' w gel)
03 February 2021 1:03
MP is taking very good precautions for the reopening following the pandemic. Felt super safe going is. Staff (Victor) was AMAZING. Literally, my cuticles never felt so good. Overpriced without the special offer they're currently offering, but for a special occasion it's a no brainer!
I'd love it if they kept the $45 gel mani promo permanently!
30 January 2021 21:31
They made a booking mistake for my bridal manicure party and completely ruined our experience. They refused to offer my mother in law anything more than a polish change and did a rushed job for the rest of the guests. The staff were very rude and unapologetic. The quality of the manicures were very poor. Never going back to this place.
30 January 2021 8:24
Went here for my first pedicure while I was on vacation and I was super impressed with the staff. They greeted me and served me a drink while I waited. The whole place is very "instagrammable" and the rooms are laid out very nice. My esthetician was lovely and made me feel super comfortable. The checkout was great too and got to watch an extremely professional employee have to deal with a woman being outrageous & causing a scene over nothing. He apologized to me after multiple times. Would highly recommend and will definitely visit again.
21 January 2021 5:06
Being able to have HMP delivered during quarantine has been a complete treat - for myself and as gifts for others. The products were packaged with so much customization and care and staff provided exceptional service from order to delivery. Fantastic job - thank you!
20 January 2021 8:05
Great place! Had my nails done by Victor and he was excellent. The atmosphere is relaxing and beautiful. They have a very good menu of drinks (alcoholic and non) as well that you can enjoy with your service. Overall a really nice place you should check out!
04 February 2019 1:03
Had an awesome experience at Her Majesty's Pleasure! Beautiful place with awesome drinks. Staff was nice and helpful. My pedicure was great but the gel polish I got all popped off on ALL of my toes 3 days later. Sad for my bare toes in Mexico lol. Overall good experience though, perhaps the polish was expired or not set properly.
31 January 2019 14:05
Great place! I took my mam when she was over from Ireland to get a pedicure. We both loved it! The staff were super nice and friendly! They let us wait until are toes dryed and the manager even wrapped up our toes for us!
08 January 2019 3:01
Pros: gorgeous salon, fun atmosphere, full service bar with teas, juices, wine etc.
Cons: insane prices, sub-par service (the bar staff was super friendly but most everyone else hardly pays attention to you). I had to constantly point out sharp edges to my manicurist that she wouldn't have caught herself and the polish job was poorly done (could be the brand they use of gel).
Lovely idea but I won't be back.
19 December 2018 2:11
It's about the customer service. It was a birthday party of 7 girls. We all arrive early except one. Most of us are Half an hour early. The fabulous bartenders made us some delicious coffees.five minute before my manicure, a sour faced girl from the salon (who needs to be fired) rushes us into the salon. I feel pressure and leave my coffee behind. We are seated for our treatments and 1 of our party is missing. She is parking the car. The hugh deal that was made about her lateness (8 mins btw) was RIDICULOUS. I was asked by 3 different people in a panic, where the missing girl was and they were pissed! I was there 30 minutes early! Get away from me! When she showed up, they told her she was too late for her manicure. 8 minutes late. RIDICULOUS. If you have a large party, this place is not fun. They made us angry. Angry Mani-pedi. LOL
11 December 2018 23:36
I've only had good experiences with HMP! For reasonable prices, you get great quality nails that last, chip less than other mani/pedi services I've had elsewhere, and look great. The best part is of course the feel of the place - beautiful decor and a full bar, where you can get tea/cocktails/snacks. I recently got the nail art experience, where Riku did an incredible job on my nails. I wasn't able to take the regular polish off at home with my own polish remover, so called in, and they had me come in to have it removed with their 100% acetone remover. It came off right away, and they didn't charge me anything, due to the miscommunication. Great service, and will definitely keep coming back!
09 December 2018 21:29
Big highs and big lows.
The good: Cocktails! Their bartenders have serious flare and make an excellent drink. Try the Old Fashioned, one of the best I've had in the city.
The bad: Manicures. I went to HMP for a gel manicure during a promotion they were running and wow, was that a mistake. Not only did my manicure end up so bumpy that I had to come back and have it completely redone, but the manicurists thinned my nails so much that they were sore and bendy. Thinning the nail is NOT needed for any nail treatment, the surface just needs a quick scuff. After I had the gel removed by a proper nail tech at another salon, my nails were so thin that they had pink spots where they were almost worn through! Horrifying! It took months of biogel overlays and biotin supplements to recover.
The ugly: For such a beautifully designed space, it's very awkward to sit at the nail bar and stare at a blank cement wall. There are framed pictures of queens throughout the salon, but the place where people are staring the most is bare.
The verdict: Go to grab a drink but never for a manicure –unless they start hiring certified nail techs.
29 November 2018 12:22
Worst experience ever. My party was 15 min late and because of this our 45 min time slot for a pedicure was reduced to a 9 minute nail polish change.
I understand that they are on a schedule and it is our fault for being late. But that fact that we did not achieve the entirety of our remaining time and that we still had to pay full price is completely unacceptable.
The lack of accomidation is what fuels this negative review. If you are late for your appointment then don't bother showing up. You'll get charged and receive nothing either way.
20 November 2018 11:26
I walked in very much wanting to love this place but sadly the work done here did not live up to the hype. I chose a regular manicure and pedicure using the CND long wear nail polish.

For the price the manicure was not anything special. I was seated at the back nail bar, which does not have great lighting. The girl doing my nails seemed almost hesitant when cutting my nails (which is generally a bad sign). The nail polish application could have been better, I chose a lighter colour and she had some issues with streaks, but assured me the top coat would smooth it out. The top coat did seem to fix it, except, the application was done very poorly (see photo). It was not done to the edges. The parts of my nails that did not have a top coat on it ending up chipping in a couple days. With the poor lighting and that it had to dry, I did not notice this until after I left. There was also issues with air bubbles in the top coat.

The pedicure was slightly better. I did have to ask for a pillow 10 minutes into is as she had forgotten to bring me one (every other chair had one). Definitely not the best pedicure I've had. I think the prices are more reflective of the beautiful space rather than the services provided.

Staff seem nice and helpful, so no issues there (hence 3 stars and not 2), but don't think that will be enough to bring me back.

**Sorry, the photo won't upload

Although the AC was broken at the time I visited, it definitely contributed to a good bachelorette experience. It's good if you wanna post all those "aesthetic" pics on Instagram.

However, the girls and I each booked a massage, and only one room was open during the sessions, so we had to go one after the other, which prolonged our time there.

If you want to come here for a fun time, then I highly recommend it. You can get drinks for much less in the area, and the same goes for the services. We were kind of iffy about going based on the negative reviews this place has gotten with staff, however I personally didn't have a bad experience with the staff. Everyone was kind and friendly.
10 October 2018 6:19
Repulsive customer service!

Booked an appointment for before my bachelorette party as a special kick off to the weekend. Knowing I was running 5 minutes behind I called HMP several times, none of my calls were answered!

When we arrived, not only were we “greeted” by a callous hostess, were told that because we were late we would only be able to have polish changes instead of pedicures. When I explained that I had tried to call several times I was rebuffed and given excuses.

To think I was going to go there for a special treat (because hello.no one gets 85$ pedicures unless it’s something special) is very disappointing to be met with such hostility.

Would not recommend, highly hesitant to return (even with a prepaid gift card- which I am considering selling)
23 September 2018 18:37
Booked a package in advance for a bridal party before the wedding, which I informed them. I assumed we could get a French manicure (most bridal parties get French manicures) or nail art. We were not, we had to tell them in advance, but t was never communicated. We all got a solid colour shellac. It has been less than a week and most of my nails have bubbles in them. $84.00 later. I’ve never had this issue.

Staff was nice. But definitely not worth the money. I’m ready to go get my nails done again after 5 days because they look so bad.

Also, they should follow up with person who booked the packages to see how it went and get feedback.
17 September 2018 21:42
I came here with a friend and it was an ok to moderately bad experience. When we arrived the bar tenders were super friendly and they were the first to greet us. We continued to walk in and found the check-in table at the back of the venue just past the bar. We checked-in and were given a buzzer for when our service would begin. We were then asked to go and choose our colours and then order a drink at the bar.

THE AMBIANCE:
The venue is set up like a fancy bar with cocktails, tables, a patio, manicure/pedicure stations and a DJ.

THE SERVICE:
This was not the best service I have ever received. When I sat down with my pedicurist, I told her I wanted her to use a file to shorten and shape my nails. She immediately pulled out a clipper and clipped some of my nails after I told her not to do that. When she clipped my nail she made the middle of my nail way too short while the edges were much longer. I told her the shape I wanted and she said there is no way to do that now that it has been clipped. She tried to fix it but it was not possible due to how short the middle of my nail was. The way she was filing my nail began to hurt my foot as she was rubbing the skin instead of the nail. I asked her if I could do it and tried to fix her mistake but it really didn't look that great at this point. Once I made the nail look presentable, she began to clip the sides of one of my nails. I had to tell her not to do that or it will give me an ingrown toenail. Throughout my service I could not relax because I had to watch everything she was doing very closely. At the end of my pedicure, I told her thank you, since it's the polite thing to do and she rolled her eyes at me. I couldn't believe an employee at an establishment like this would roll her eyes at me. That is rude beyond belief! She also started 10 minutes behind schedule and didn't even give me a long foot rub. I saw my friend and the lady next to me receive much more TLC. She didn't cut my cuticles either. Mind you, I do this at home so they were probably in good shape but my baby toe could have used a cuticle trim as it's harder for me to cut my cuticles on my pinky.

Would I return?
Most definitely not. I was very unimpressed with the experience.
08 September 2018 5:13
One of the worst salon experiences of my life, if I could leave zero stars I would for destroying my nails. We arrived early and the lady who greeted us was really rude. Gave us the wrong pricing information. We booked the most expensive manicure package and they left out parts of it that were listed on the website. We were told that on top of the $55 we would have to pay extra for shellac removal, and that the $55 is for regular polish application, if we wanted shellac again it would be another $20 so we opted for regular. The whole experience felt extremely rushed. The shellac polish on our nails was filed down with the abrasive side of a nail file until our nails were burning. They were left painfully thin, broken, and completely destroyed- still the case now, weeks later. I never EVER talk unfavourably about local businesses but I felt I had to share my experience especially because there is so much hype about Her Majesty's Pleasure on Instagram. Photo of my (normally super strong) nails after removing the polish from my manicure.

Ew. The more I think about my experience today, the more put off I am and the more of a sour taste it leaves in my mouth. Literally the only redeeming quality about this place is the "instagram-worthiness" of the atmosphere. From the beginning to end, it was not a great experience. So first, the bartenders are all men and they could not get our drinks to us in under 30 minutes or in two of my friends' cases, at all (he just forgot and did not bring it, while another forgot and we reminded him and it finally came). Then, the pedicure chairs are really uncomfortable, the tub is small and weird, my technician would shove her tools into and around my nails so hard it caused me a lot of pain - I had to keep telling her "ouch" and flinching. When I tried to settle up drinks, it took forever (not busy and 10 minutes go by, nothing) so I just walk up to the counter to settle up instead. Oh yeah and then you can complete a short written survey about your experience and get a free glass of prosecco, which of course you can't use until your next visit. What an all round complete rip off. I could have gotten two pedicures much better than this one for this price. Not going back.

As a salon owner and a beauty professional with over 20 years experience I cannot say enough about my experience at HMP. My pedicurist was running a little behind and I was immediately presented with a complimentary glass of prosecco as compensation. Not necessary as I completely understand how that can happen but so appreciated! The decor of HMP is stunning. The attention to detail is impeccable. The pedicure was great and Sue was so sweet! GREAT foot and leg massage! I have already decided that I will be treating my staff to manis and pedis before our holiday party at the end of the year.

Thank you HMP! I will for sure be back! (Already booked!)

I came here on Friday with two of my girlfriends. I actually have come here before and I recommended it to my two girlfriends to get blowouts.
I have to say I will not come back to Her Majesty’s pleasure.
First of all it’s only really worth it if you get the groupon - as the hairstyling is mediocre and they get you in and out.
I have a stylist Keisha (Black girl with ridiculously big hoop earrings)
I told Keisha thoroughly of what I wanted because I have short hair and it’s easy for my hair to come out looking like a six-year-old’s whose mom styled it for church.
I wanted my blowout to be edgy instead she made me look like curly Sue. Because of this I told Keisha specifically twice of what I wanted but what did I get exactly what I didn’t want.
Keisha did not ask me if I liked my blowout or if I was happy and quickly rushed me out of the chair because she said she had the next client coming in. I complained at the front desk and told them that I wasn’t happy but the gave me some half washed apology and again when I sent an email I got the same response.
I will be back again and I recommend that you save your money and go somewhere cheaper where to give a little more thought to the clients satisfaction.

Been here a handful of times and every time someone on the staff is rude and unprofessional, but I usually go back because it’s a unique spot. But today was the last time. In fact it was so bad, three of us walked out in the middle of our appointments.

The bartender came to take my mom and I’s drink orders and asked if we wanted our margaritas “up or down. ” We didn’t understand what he meant but instead of explaining he just kept repeating himself in an increasingly rude and condescending tone so my mom looked at me to see if I understood. Finally (after like 3 or 4 times repeating words we clearly didn’t understand far more rudely than necessary) he added, “in a coupe or rocks glass. ” It sounds chill but he was soooo unnecessarily rude with his tone. All of the staff nearby heard and saw we were offended but no one did anything, which means they’re either accustomed to his regular rudeness or equally as unprofessional.

We went to speak with him and instead of apologizing for being offensive he just kept arguing and arguing with my mom and “explaining” how she should’ve made more eye contact with him when asking a question.the manager was away on lunch and none of the other staff did or said anything so we left.

This place is cute and all but their cocktails are far too basic for their staff to be so pretentious. People go there to have a good time and the staff should be trained to foster a fun environment, not be forcefully uppity.

I’ve brought so many people there and been quite a few times but never again. I recommend grabbing drinks somewhere else then hitting up the Ten Spot or literally anywhere else in the city.

I was very disappointed with the service.staff were not friendly and always seeemed bothered by customers.
I booked pedis for 4 of my girlfriends for a mini baby shower and had requested that we all be seated together as we are celebrating and when we got there they could only get started with 3 of us by the time they were ready for the 4th person (15-20 mins later) 3 of us were all done and asked to get up and sit at the bar.
Also after getting a pedicure they don’t have dryers to go under they don’t tell you how long we should wait to air dry so 45 mins later when we put our shoes back on no one came to check if it was dry enough to leave so by the time we got home every single pedicure was ruined. I asked one girl if it was safe to put our shoes back on her exact words were “ I’m going to be busy soon could you ask somebody else”.

The pedicure itself was really not that great my skin didn’t feel silky smooth like it does when I go to my little nail salon down the street. Chairs were VERY uncomfortable they were hard muskoka chairs if anything it makes you want to get up out of there quickly. I think they do that on purpose.
Also during the service we all ordered drinks which we didn’t receive until the very last min of the service.
Not to mention the place is small and cramped it’s truly not worth the money theres no denying it’s a cute place to take photos and the decor is pretty but that’s really it! I wouldn’t recommend it nor would I go back.

The concept of the place is great—very chic and trendy. The drink service was great, but the drinks are on the more expensive side.
Was disappointed with the pedicure service that I received which is the reason behind the low rating. Got a basic pedicure and everything was great until the drying process. There was not enough tissue/cotton separating my toes, so the colour on one toe rubbed against another and ruined the pedicure. I went up to the front and ask for someone to fix it and was told that someone would be over in 5-10 minutes. After 15 minutes, no one came over and I had to go up again to ask, where someone then came over and she tried to fix the polish. I was then handed off to someone else because the first person had another appointment lined up. The second girl added too much polish and she realized that she didn’t let enough time pass to add the top coat and ruined the pedicure once more. After she realized, she said, “I think I need to let it dry. I’ll come back, ” and she never came back and started on someone else’s manicure. I had to go up again to let someone know that two people had tried to fix the polish and I was just left with polish dripping off my nail onto my skin. Finally, my pedicure was fixed and after 45mins to an hour of waiting, I was able to leave.
Really unfortunate that for such an expensive pedicure, there was a lack of care after the initial service was done. It’s understandable that there are other appointments, but at a more “basic” nail salon, you would get ten times better service than what I received today.
If it’s true that you pay for the product, as well as the experience, I definitely didn’t get that today. Let’s just hope this pedicure also lasts. Unfortunately, I probably wouldn’t visit this place again.

Quite unfortunate that the place is so cute, but the service and employees that work there are so miserable. I've been here a few times for private events, and the workers can't even bare to crack a smile. They make you feel like them performing the service (their job) on you is so inconvenient to them.

I can see where the miserable attitude trickles down from as their manager (I think her name is Sarah?) was just as rude, unfriendly, and unable to crack a smile. I walked in and told her I was waiting for a friend to arrive, to which she frowned and questioned what I was waiting for? Mumbled a few more passive questions, to which I didn't understand the point of, not looking me in the eye as she spoke, and then she just turned away. Also passively mumbled that I was not allowed to take photos of the space because I "didn't have permission" of the owners? Couldn't take her seriously as she couldn't look me in the eye to speak, so I walked myself out of that weird and uncomfortable situation.

One of the worst experiences at a nail salon I’ve ever had and I had a $3 pedicure in Thailand once. When we walked in, the bartenders were extremely gracious and personable but sadly that’s where it ended. We came to celebrate my sisters 30th birthday and were expecting to be pampered but we felt like they just wanted to flip our seats for the next person the whole time. For starters, I forgot to book shellac removal so they were unable to give me a manicure but offered a polish change or a blow out. I wasn’t satisfied with my options but that was my fault so I decided to sit with my party and enjoy my coffee. The birthday girl finished her mimosa and wasn’t offered another beverage. One of the manicurists didn’t say a word to one of my guests the entire time and was miserable. For $45 I would expect a certain level of service and this was not it. Once we were rushed through our services we were told they needed our seats and we needed to move to the front bar. No problem. But no one offered to help carry our drinks or jackets which left us with smudged manicures.

When we went back to the other bar we were not offered another drink. The bartenders didn’t say a word to us. We then heard a manager reprimand one of them for not being stocked for the day.

When it came time to pay the bill, I was not thanked for my payment nor my tip. I was handed the bill and the bartender walked away. The second bartender asked how the services were and I responded “mmmmm they were okay” and he said “just okay? ” To which I said “not the best”. He was offended and walked away.

All in all, service wasn’t great and we did not feel welcome. If you’re going to charge me $65 for a pedicure it better be a good pedicure. Would rather the $1000 flight back to Thailand than the walk down the street to HMP.

I really want to love this place as it’s in my neighbourhood, cute & convenient. But the atmosphere & vibe are terrible. After my 5th or so visit over the years I finally felt compelled to leave a review. I booked an appointment on a weekday afternoon - when I arrived I checked in & they proceeded to call me leaving a nasty voicemail asking where I was. They had checked in the wrong name. The receptionist was not pleasant. Could not crack a smile. My manicurist kept leaving for 5 minutes at a time in the middle of doing my nails. I left with cuticles that literally hurt from bleeding. A bubble in my shellac that she didn’t “see”. 3 hours for a manicure & pedicure.
Unfortunately a very cute concept that is lacking the refined details for an enjoyable experience worth the price of the overpriced manicure + pedicure.

A friend and I had an awful experience getting signature manicures. We arrived early to our appointment on a Saturday afternoon and the place was a zoo. Shortly after our appointment time, the lady doing my nails (Young) was free and ushered me quickly to a seat. There wasn't an open seat for my friend beside me, even though we had booked the appointment for 2 people. My friend was told she would have to wait until a seat opened up. I sat down and when Young found out I hadn't picked a polish colour yet she was clearly irritated, saying "what, you haven't picked a colour yet? Okay I will help you. " I felt pressured to pick a colour quickly, and when I was trying to decide she told me I needed to hurry up or her next appointment would be late. You could tell they are on a very tight schedule and have no room for someone to spend a few minutes picking a colour. I then asked if I could upgrade and get a shellac manicure instead. I was told this wasn't possible since she had an appointment after me (even though a lady sat down after me, got a shellac manicure, and left before I was finished - shellac does not take longer than a regular manicure). To try and catch up and ensure I was done within half an hour, Young rushed through my entire manicure. She didn't put a base coat, got so much nail polish around my cuticles, and even got polish on my watch. When she was finished I was told I had to move right away so she could start her next appointment (the total time I actually got to sit with my friend was probably 15 minutes). I had to move to another area and wait there. They also don't provide you with fans or anything to help dry your nails, so you're stuck waiting there until they are completely dried. In addition to all of this we had ordered drinks and my friend's rose was flat.

To pay $40 for a regular manicure and have it rushed and done sloppily is a complete rip off. I figured since I was paying that much for a manicure it would be a relaxing experience and the customer service would be great. This was not the case at all. It was stressful and a waste of money. I will not be going back and will be sure to share my experience with my friends.

The place is nice and has a cute vibe, but they are poorly organized. You would think that booking an appointment ahead of time would help things run smoothly- wrong. We showed up on Friday night with bridesmaids and the manicurists seemed to be all over the place. There's nothing here that would you wouldn't be able to get at your regular nail salon. Save yourself the money and stress.

Nail artist was nice, friendly and professional and did a good on my manicure. Receptionist was oddly cold, and it wasn't totally clear where I was supposed to go when I arrived as it kind of just looks like a regular cafe. Speaking of cafe, the latte was very good! Space is very nice and fancy. If you're looking for a treat yo' self place, HMP is a good spot.
