Major MacKenzie Medical Centre - Walk-In & Family Clinic

I have had many family doctors over the years and couldn’t ask for a better family physician than Dr. Rassam. My wife and I have been patients of Dr. Rassam for over 3.5 years and our daughter, Robyn, has been his patient since she was only a few days old. He is extremely knowledgeable, caring and practical. He does an excellent job of putting people at ease and, notwithstanding that he has a very busy family practice, he treats me and my family like we’re his only patients. We are very fortunate that Dr. Rassam decided to open his practice in Vaughan and we hope to be his patients for many years to come.

I’m waiting for see Dr Rassam and it’s 11.15AM but no receptionist at front desk. Other lady at counter is not helpful at all. It’s been more than a month that I’m trying to get medicine for my ongoing health issues but no luck.

Dr. Rassam is absolutely fantastic! He has been our family doctor for years and we couldn't be happier. He is incredibly knowledgeable and stays up-to-date with the latest treatments and medications. We feel so fortunate to have him looking after our family's health. Highly recommend!

I saw Dr. Petcho today for the first time as a walk-in patient for my 1 year old daughter as her daycare had a concern about a rash on her arm. Dr. Petcho was extremely helpful and patient at explaining her symptoms. He was empethic and was eager to put my mind at ease as a concerned mother. In a short time I was able to recognize that he is an extraordinary intelligent doctor with human values. I would certainly love to make him my children’s family physician! Thank you Dr. Petcho!

By far the rudest receptionist I have ever had the displeasure of speaking to. I simply asked if there were appointments available. Lots of walk in clinics offer appointments so this question should not have warranted such a rude response. Especially since I have been to this clinic before WITH appointments. "this is a walk in clinic and we're not open tomorrow so I don't know who you're trying to reach". I'm trying to reach a doctors office to make an appointment for my son. A simple, 'unfortunately, we do not take appointments at our office anymore', would suffice. I'll never understand how people like this are allowed to work in such an important place such as a doctors office. Quit your job if you hate it, "Mimi".

This doctor won’t see anyone. Absolute joke. 3 years later and everything is still Covid in his eyes. Dragged my 2 year old there, because I was told by the front end staff that the doctor would see him as I had a negative Covid test from 48 hours ago from the hospital - made us wait in there over 40 minutes with my fussy screaming toddler cause obviously he didn’t want to be there and did the doctor see him NOPE.he claimed that the hospital Covid test wasn’t good enough. FYI it was just an ear infection. Not everything is Covid - and if you’re that scared of Covid, you shouldn’t be practicing medicine.

Infinitely thankful to Dr Rassam for taking such a good care of myself and my husband and now our son. We have never experienced any issues or misunderstanding during the appointments. Everyone is very kind and helpful and willing to help in the medical centre. Thank you!

It’s a scaming they will ask you to provide email and they will send you a doctor note and receipt after u do etransfer
They will never and they don’t answer the phone as well
After they provide a different date and they say do whatever you want
Doctor barely speak English and don’t even try to verify the problem
But the service is the worst service ever
Never had this issue in my whole life in canada

OMG DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT GO TO DR RASSAM. HE IS RUDE SCAM AND INCOMPETENT AND SO ARE THE RECEPTIONIST.

Please remember to not to go to Dr Rasam. I went there first the receptionist told me that he will see me and made me wait then finally when I went to see him for my son, he was rude and refused to help me and said that he will only prescribe for his own patient not to new ones then why the heck his receptionist and him wasted my time and swiped my ohip card DO NOT GO TO HIM

Two experiences now where the doctor had terrible bedside manner and came across as very judgemental. Also went in for the walk-in service as it is a walk-in clinic and was told they aren't doing walk-ins and that they are all full.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I am 18 weeks pregnant and battling a virus for about a week now. I have no fever. I do NOT have covid. I’ve been tested several times using the only method the public is allowed to use, and I have had to do this for my job. I was told by the secretary that they will call me and diagnose me over the phone. I am wheezing and likely need a puffer - but you know, the clinic assumed it MIGHT be covid even though I told them about my several negative tests, and alas the doctor refused to see me. I am going to repeat that I am pregnant. And these are DOCTORS. But what looks like laryngitis has one similar symptoms to covid, so I was refused care. Did I mention that I am pregnant? This clinic should do better. All doctors need to do.better. NOT EVERYTHING IS COVID.

The best walk in clinic in GTA. It has everything my family needs, wonderful family dr, lab and pharmacy. I personally love Dr Rassam, he is very professional and knowledgeable, kind and follows up frequently.

I went to this clinic today to get blood work done with an online requisition and was taken in almost immediately without waiting. The lab tech was gentle and kind in making sure I was comfortable and took her time. I started to feel a bit nauseous afterwards and this clinic did everything possible to make sure I was okay before I left including calling in the doctor and taking some additional tests to check my pulse and blood pressure while describing everything every step of the way and then letting me lay down in an empty room until I felt better. The doctor, lab tech and receptionist were so kind and thoughtful checking in on me every couple of minutes. I have gone to many clinics and this is definitely the best experience I have had and will be back if I need to.

God awful. Front desk person who takes your blood is god awful at finding a vein. Couldn't find one if her life depended on it. The family doctor at this location doesn't know anything and is so quick to recommend pills for your problems; and if that doesn't work, he simply prescribes a higher dosage. Awful, awful, awful. Only wants to get you hopped up on meds and recommends the extreme before actually trying to suggest other and safer options. Stay away. This place ruined my life more than it helped it. Revoke their licenses ASAP.

Dr Rassam is my husband’s family doctor. He is very knowledgeable and accessible. My husband had an ongoing issue which every walk in clinic was treating with antibiotics every time. Dr Rassam went to the root cause and we have proper diagnosis now to take care of. He follows up with blood results and calls to update. He refers immediately when needed. He is now my husband’s family doctor. And we are hppy with his care.

The Doctors and staff at Major Mackenzie medical centre are very friendly, and informative. I have seen Dr. Rassam as a walk in doctor, he very helpful in treating the root of my problem rather than just masking it with meds, and the pharmacists are super sweet and helpful, they are always willing to answer any of my questions. This clinic is very family friendly! Highly recommend them!:)

I'm writing this review not just for the expected great services the facility has to offer on a daily basis, but more for the extended courtesy the team within has given me everytime I pass through. The gentle smiles, comforting conversations and total experience are superb.

Great customer service, but that's where the good parts end. Me and my wife have gone here 3 times for separate issues, and have gotten the worst medical advice from this location every single time. How do I know? Because we always get 3 different doctor opinions before we move further with any sort of medication or prescription or procedure. The other two doctors say that what this doctor suggests is (in their words) excessive. Never coming here for an opinion again, always recommends unecessary medication; I wonder how much money he's getting from the Pharmacy.

Don't waste your time by stopping here, you'll end up worse than when you came in; assumimg you take their advice and medical diagnosis seriously. What a joke.

Excellent service. They made adjustments for Covid-19 ensuring a smooth, quick and safe visit to the doctor!

Scary experience at this walk in clinic. I took my kid, and the so called doctor prescribed a 6 medications for him, I wasnt sure about it, it looked excessive to me. So I took my kid to another doctor, this time a pediatric doctor who told me that there is no need for medicine at all! I saved my kid a tone of unnecessary medicine! Do not take your kids here, they have no pediatrician here!

Horrible doctors turned me down 1 hour before closing. I had a chest infection and they were more worried about leaving early. Goes to show you what doctors are about these days.
