Maker Pizza Downtown

Delicious deli sandwich. A little slow for service. I ordered via Ritual and they weren’t ready when I arrived at order pick up time

Extremely bad service very disappointed. We went there for a slice at 3: 50pm as they stop serving slices at 4: 00pm, they took my order I had already paid and then 5 mins later supervisor/manager (lady) cancels my order and offers me refund.

Lack of commitment and courtesy to serve the customers.

Ordered pizza to go and can’t say I see what the hype is all about. Yes, it was amazing, and the honey sesame pizza with feta really reminded me of European style pizza. It was delicious. Will I pay 30$ for a personal pizza again? Probably not. If you have the money, definitely come here and try it as you won’t regret it.

Great pizza but 4/5 of last time I have order pizza has taken more than 2 hours to be delivered and was cold. Not worth it

Great pizza. Favourite is the pepperoni with added honey, but really can't go wrong with any choice I have tried most options and they are all great. The crust is amazing, the Buffalo wings are just the right amount of spicy and great blue cheese sauce with big chunk s of blue cheese. Also can't help but get a cookie each time as well. Have ordered from here a few times and just keep coming back. Definitely in the running for my favourite pizza in town!

The best is my MIL's homemade pizza, but this is a very close second! We have a few favourites and but also waiting for the day their full menu is made available again, but totally understand that it is condensed during the pandemic for better efficient service.

Pizzas are pricey but well worth it and definitely always a treat!

This pizza was gourmet the flavour/ ingredient profile was very nice. Carmalized onions, mozzarella, goat cheese, sesame seed crust was fire roasted to give a beautiful nutty vibe drizzled with honey. Rhe pizza I had was sweet in a good way. I will go back and try a more savory offering.

All I can say is their pizza is always perfect you don’t have to tell them to alter anything, thin crust with chewy outer crust, perfect amount of sauce, always well done-ish. …. OK I can say one thing I don’t like …. The doctor pepperoni has like 1000 pieces of pepperoni but I bet a lot of you would like that. Soooo.the story about my two pizzas is I always order Frank’s best, but once they gave me the wrong order and guess what instead of taking it back they gave me two pizzas I just love this place. Ever since I had my first pizza from this place I never ordered pizza from anywhere else and that’s a fact about 3yrs now. My Ubereats bills are 90% makers. Have fun with your pizza!

We all know there's no such thing as bad pizza, because no matter how bad it is it's still pizza. We'll maker pizza is pizza taken to the next level. The ingredients are fresh the cook process is impeccable, and every single time we are amazed at how good it is. Can't recommend enough

Alright finally I got "Maker Pizza" today!

I ordered 16" dr pepperoni pizza and 16" So mushroom pizza with everything bagle through Ritual app.

First of all, pepperoni pizza was great. Fluffy dough and proper totato sauce and maker's authentic pepperoni toppings are good combination and super delicious! Moreover, it was interesting for dough flavor with honey (is it honey right?)

However, I've got high expectation for 'so mushroom pizza' literally, It is expensive than regular pizza and I saw there are lot of mushroom toppings on pizza picture. But when I grab that pizza, I only found one type of mushroom and also i don't think it is so mushroom. Except that part, flavour and everything are good and delicious too. I add truffle oil with mushroom at home, which was amazing. Maker pizza is good match with beer and gin and tonic.

I'm willing to visit again!

Great delivery pizza and really close to downtown. Would recommend to anyone who lives in the area.

Favourite pizza in all of Toronto. Absolutely delicious. Incredible crust, delicious sauces.

My only one odd and meaningless qualm is that I find the ingredients on the tropical pizza a bit too chunky/rectangular and uniform.

Expectations were high for this place because of the reviews and hype. Great service but, the pizzas could be better.

An amazing pizza that is definitely worth giving a try if you’re a pizza lover. Highly recommend putting the everything bagel seasoning on the crust!

Their pizzas are mind-blowing. I think it's all about their dough, which makes their pizzas unique.

An explosion of flavours!

We had this place on our foodie list for a really long time as we love a good pizza. Unfortunately the first time we tried ordering (it was a Saturday night), they had stopped taking orders as they were overbooked. Happy to say that it was worth the wait. Undoubtedly ONE OF THE BEST pizzas I've had, including the fancy ones I had back in London UK.

We ordered the large Tropic Thunder. It is definitely on the expensive side, but the amazing crust and topping combinations are worth the price. We did a takeaway and it still tasted awesome even after a 25 min walk home. Can't recommend enough.

My friend and I ordered 2 small pizzas at around 7: 15pm on Friday. We received our order in 15min. Wait time was as expected. (Update: I have been here multiple times now and the quality is there!)

Frank's Best - a unique semi sweet and savoury white pizza that I got again when I went back
Dani's Red & White Pesto Pizza - my friend ordered it and said it was quite spicy whilst I thought it had a pleasant kick to it
Dr. Pepperoni - it's a bit oily to my taste so I blot a little of the oil out that came out of the amazing pepperoni and then it was perfect! Nothing like the one from generic pizza chains. The pepperoni was very flavourful!
Tropic Thunder - has a spicy kick to it so I love it!
Porky's - okay but not great, especially compared to the other pizza options
So Mushroom - The best mushroom pizza I've ever tried. The flavours remind me of the tasty mushroom pasta from Gusto 101. So, you know it's going to taste amazing.

I haven't tried a lot of pizzas in downtown Toronto but I think this will be my go-to pizza place for the near future. The price was on the higher end but it is worth it if you want something unique.

UPDATE:
Maker Pizza's response to the pandemic has been great. The menu did downsize but they kept the popular pizzas on the menu. I called at 5: 15 pm on a Monday and picked up at 5: 45 pm. They set up a pick up counter on the side of the building.

Been wanting to go for a long time ever since I heard about their famous Bodega sub. Finally went today and loved it! Did not expect it to come with bag of Vickies chips. Bonus!

I don't like leaving bad reviews hence the 2 stars (really doesn't deserve any stars) but i feel like leaving honest reviews actually benefits restaurants so here goes.

I placed an order here twice, in case the first time around was an anomaly. Unfortunately, that was not the case. I tried Dr. Pepperoni, Cheese Pie and Frank's Best and all of them were disappointing to say the least. First is the dough, it is extremely chewy and almost impossible to bite into. I am not sure whether this is intentional or it is a signature thing but I had never imagined biting into a slice of pizza could be so challenging. They must be using week old store bought frozen dough. Maybe it is a preference but I enjoy freshly hand made light, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside dough for pizza. This was the exact opposite, the dough was dense and almost uncooked in the middle which left us with a stomach cramp afterwards. Second is the questionable quality of the ingredients, which at this price point, is just unacceptable. Frank's Best in particular was super underwhelming. I am a huge fan of drizzled honey on a white pizza but somehow, this tasted like sprinkled granulated sugar. Other toppings also tasted stale, in fact I am positive none of the ingredients were fresh.

There are plenty of pizza joints in the city that offer far better tasting pizza at the same price point. Maker pizza is just overhyped and I fell for it.twice!

I must say. This is the best pizza in Toronto (by far). The way the ingredients blend together is flawless and the customer service is always really good. I appreciate you all.

Currently the best pizza in Toronto (in my opinion).
Our favorites are TROPIC THUNDER (its a great veggie option with a good kick) and DR PEPPERONI (they throw in as many peps as they can, its great). The FRANKS BEST is also a great option if u want a sweeter, creamy simpler pie. Cant say anything wrong with this place. They might take little longer to make a pie but I assume coz they make it SO WELL. I've only eaten on location once. Prefer pick up or delivery. It travels well. We've tried both locations and they both making great pizzas with consistent taste!

So easy to order on the Maker Pizza app and pick up at the walkup window. Order was ready right on time. Service was super friendly. Some customers returned while we were there to tell them how great their pizza was. We tried the Tropic Thunder with 2 dipping sauces (creamy garlic with salsa verde and creamy garlic with chili) and everything was delicious. Highly recommend the Fiero Spritz which was described as a “sparkling martini” and was so refreshing!

We got the 12” Tropic thunder for $21 and 12” So Mushroom pizza for $25. Both were very tasty but the mushroom pizza went fast.

I agree that Maker is probably on the pricier side when it comes to pizza but we’ll worth it!

Didn’t know you could get sesame, poppyseed, everything bagel, etc crust on the pizzas so will have to come back to try it next time!

This pizza is insanely good. Probably the best in Toronto. I’ve ordered a number of times and the quality never disappoints!

Pizza are always amazing specially with sauce. The wings are perfectly cooked and seasoned as well. Always enjoy everything.

Great pizza and I asked for that honey glazed with sesame seed crust and it just elevated the whole experience. Highly recommend please stay this good over time!

The Frank's Best pizza is soooooo good! I love the flavours and everything goes so well together. I can't wait to return to try more of their pizzas.

For 2 small pizzas and an order of wings and 70$ after, leaving my palette with a lot of diaappointment. Not only did my order take 2 hours to deliver, food came stale and cold, wings were soggy and leathery. I’ve eaten at maker a few times over the past year but this was one my worst delivery experiences

Only tried the pepperoni, way too salty you'll need 2 Litre water bottle to avoid dehydration.wings were meh, good dipping sauces and cookie was soft and delicious.

I like their white pizzas, the taste is inimitable and delicious.

Everything was great except the attitude of the girl who answers the phone. Multiple calls and always a disappointing experience. Pizza was on point though as always.

LOVE THIS PIZZA.only problem is that when we have ordered Nd come for the pickup at the indicated time, we usually have to wait 10 more minutes. Also we ordered a sandwich once and it took 30 minutes to make. Other than that the food is BOMB.
