Like the food but horrible and illogical customer service. I asked to sit at one of the numerous empty tables for a few mins while I look over the menu and make my take out order. The lady at the counter kept insisting I grab the menu, go sit in my car, and order by phone. I said I’d be happy to vacate my seat if they got customers in need of the booth but she kept saying her boss has not allowed it. Also this was around 4pm, not a busy time by any means.
Mind you I had no trouble making my way back to my car but I was thrown by the total lack of hospitality or human sentiment. Extremely cold and uninviting unless you will be a dine in customer.

We ususlly get take-out / delivery from here but decided to try dining in. Food was good, service was fast. Only getting 3 stars as the backroom supplies were overflowing into the dining room and the staff were using plastic garbage bags to cover it up.which of course looked quite literally "trashy". A restaurant like this should put a bit more effort into hiding this kind of thing. Put up a temporary wall or something since its been like this for quite some time.

I have always gotten my sushi from here as I live very close but my last experience was awful. I called and placed my order and waited the time they told me to which was 15 minutes before picking it up. I had my 1 year old with me so hence why I waited the time before pickup so I wouldn’t have to chase after him inside. It wasn’t ready so we had to wait which is fine but I was trying to keep him entertained and showed him a plant. He unfortunately grabbed it much harder and quicker than I was ready for and it fell over and the soil made a small mess. Usually I would have cleaned it up but I figured they have gloves or brooms so I don’t need to get myself dirty. The lady was very rude to me and never said a word until she came back to clean in and told me I should clean it and she will get my son a high chair. My mouth dropped! Not only did she not say anything to me before that but she had the audacity to make me feel horrible as a customer. She also said it’s my responsibly and I have to take care of my child. I had already paid at this point so I waited for my food (which took much longer than the stated time). I work a customer service manager at a bank and my expectations in customer service is you take care of your customers and at a minimum not make they feel worse. I get that it sucks when they stuff happens but I would never expect that in a million years. I will never eat here again due to my poor experience which is sad because it’s the closest to me.

The restaurant looks very clean and the design is beautiful. But the food is something else.
The chicken and broccoli: the chicken was very dry and when I told the manager and the chef the chef was not happy that I complained about his dish.the Sesame chicken dish tasted like eating a chew toy.
The complementary soup and salad don’t even bother eating them.
The only thing that was good was the sushi and I give it 7/10.
Don’t go to this restaurant if you ever thinking of returning a dish because they will not be happy to hear from you

Food was what you expect for all you can eat, tasty but nothing spectacular. The robots are super cool I just wish they served more often, as we were only given one part of our order using one and it's really the only reason we went here.

The food was overall pretty good. I like the wide variety of vegetarian foods and my meals have always been quite flavourful. I've ordered take-out from the oshawa location a few times and it sure doesn't disappoint.

My only (healthy) suggestion is to offer less deep fried foods or more alternatives such as steamed tofu.

Food poisoning! Both my husband and I. I don’t normally leave poor reviews but this place was not clean. The bathrooms, tables — they had the superficial appearance of being clean but everything was sticky, splashes of god knows what everywhere — please clean! Or health inspectors pls advise

Best Japanese restaurant I've been to while on vacation in Canada. Staffs are very accommodating and attentive. We also enjoyed watching the robot server while it works. It really serves its purpose. Very useful and helpful. Food tastes good and freshly made. The restaurant is so clean and we can see staff disinfecting the area from time to time. A best place to dine in.

We went for ‘all you can eat’ on a Wednesday night. Lots of food selection! Service was amazing and really fast. Food quality was better than average. Restaurant was clean and had a relaxed atmosphere. Kids liked the robot servers.
Only negative was the auto gratuity because we had 6 people (we have 4 kids, so we always have 6). We would have tipped the same amount as the service was great, but I dislike being forced as the tip is our choice.

Wow this place is now EXPENSIVE! It was $47 after tax and automatic gratuity per person for the Wednesday evening buffet. It has gone up so much over the years that we can no longer afford to go back. It's a shame because it has been one of our go to restaurants for years. The food is delicious and the interior is lovely. Service is usually good. If you are able to afford the price tag it's a good night out.

We love this restaurant; definitely one of our favourite buffets out there! We drive over an hour to eat here for special occasions. The restaurant itself is very clean and welcoming. The staff are wonderful, and the food is FANTASTIC! Great options for groups with people who both love and hate sushi. (Noodle dishes, soups, vegetable dishes, chicken dishes, beef dishes, etc.) Highly recommend!

The available staff were rude and dismissive when approached. We're deffinitly never going back again. We sat for 27 mins watching other couples/families sit eat and leave, before we were waited on If your're reading this trying to make a decison, I'd recommend anywhere else.

Can't order from the menu and all you can eat? I'm not spending $40 for 1 California roll (thats all my daughter can eat!) change your policy, I spend $350-$400/ month at your restaurant. (Its the only place I eat!)
Unfortunately you've lost me as a" loyal "customer.

This used to be my favorite sushi spot I've been to 3 or 4 of the locations but I will never return to this one again. I went in a few nights ago, party of 2 wanting all you can eat. We were told by the MANAGER that we had to order a la carte - keep in mind it was 8: 40 and their hours of operation in the window says they close at 10. We were unimpressed but thought we would grab a few roles still. We were given the take out menu as if we weren't allowed to sit down and order a la carte however I asked one of the servers and she seated us. While we were waiting for a server to take our order, a group of 4 walked in and were allowed to order all you can eat. I mentioned this to the manager, she walked away and when the server came she mentioned to her that we can order all you can eat. This is terrible service, inconsistent and a slap in the face. I supported this restaurant throughout the pandemic, walking in to pick up sushi at least once a week for a few months straight - the same manager saw me there at least 95% of the time. Clearly I am a repeat, loyal customer but I will never ever step foot in this restaurant again. There are plenty of sushi places down the street that I'm sure would be happy to have my business!

Amazing experience here. I was not prepared for our food to be delivered by a robot but it was pretty cool. Good staff, all you can eat was worth the price. Awesome place to go by yourself or with your family.

Food was horrible and terrible service. Beef dishes tasted like they were boiled, tasteless. Sushi was not very good or flavorful.

Only edible dish was some spicy chicken dish and our server would not let us order more because we returned two awful dishes and did not eat the bell peppers on the chicken dish. Unprofessional and rude server.
Would not recommend and would never return.

This place used to be amazing. Dunno what happened but no soups or salads in combos, tasteless beef dishes, half filled bowls of soup, slimey fish. Such a shame, I hope they will recover now that covids over.

Good service, nice people working, loved general tsao chicken, tempura and spicy salmon. Was not into black dragon even though it’s normally my favorite.
P.a. All you can eat currently is not open due to covid.

Ordered online through website website sent it through to the wrong location.the location I got was this location and they are disgusting.food was cold in the middle undercooked soggy contacted the store they refuse to give my money back because I had taken a bite out of one item worst experience customer service worst sushi out there worst customer service they refuse refund. Would not recommend.

My server never returned to ky table after serving one of the guest at my table, he brought one drink then left. He didn't even show us how to use the menu. Then I had to grab the attention of another server due to a disappointment of noticing a poorly cleaned bench that I was sitting at had a dirty nappin stuffed into the bench cushion. However a young server named Brandon with and manbun was absolutely % exceptionally amazing. His quick service and was very apologetic about the lack of service from our original server, and stepped up the the plate he started serving my table and was very polite and attentive without being that server who's always at your table. He was very quick to serve other tables as well. If you do come here. Make sure to get Brandon. And tip him well he deserves it! He works hard.

Been buying from them for years, but quality seems to degrade a whole lot especially now. Ordered for delivery and the salad was quite soggy, wasabi was old and the sushi we ordered was disintegrating upon pick up. It was far from the great food preparation years ago and is no longer worth the price tag.

We like a lot hanging out. Last night we came to this delicious restaurant which we didn’t know before. We had a lovely experience there with very good dishes and an experienced team and a great chief cook. We added this fine restaurant in our list and we will no doubt come back very soon. Highly recommended.

Amazing experience, definitely going to be a personal top 5 sushi spot. A lot of variety for not only sushi, but several types of appetizers, entrées and desserts. Staff/servers were very friendly and orders came in quickly.

Will be going back here again for sure!

Sort of clean. Low rating due to the fact we had to order ginger 5 times and still never sent it to our table, we ordered many items that never made it to our table. We received a sushi roll that was sour. And the staff were rude, lacking, I wont come back again.

I’m a big fan of Japanese, been eating sushi regularly for 15 years. This review is from my experience today, and is not necessarily my overall rating of this chain of restaurants (Maki/Kaki/etc).

I ordered a Deluxe bar entry, came with spicy salmon roll. The salmon in the spicy salmon roll was oddly fishy which I find a rare occurrence. I then noticed some of the salmon cuts within the roll were discoloured. The salmon sushi (on rice) was fine, but was as if they tried to hide some ‘older’ cuts in the roll. I’m thinking because it was the day after Boxing Day? Not sure if they’ve been open, or busy/not over December 25th-26th. Unfortunate because I was really looking forward to it, walked out less than satisfied today.

I personally have better luck at the “non-chain” Japanese establishments in Durham.
