Makin' Waves Marine

Really nice people, didn't fix my for after having it for a month and a half. But hey, its only mid July.

A simple repair of leaking oil took 3 months. After repair, a worse problem appeared, to fix it estemait over 1000$. MARINE does not want to admit to a mistake in the assembly during repair. I decided to take the case to court. I do NOT RECOMMEND SERVICES.

We brought our pontoon boat in for servicing and to have a fish finder installed; we picked it up and put it in the water only to have no power to lights, radio and horn. When we called, the response was to bring it back in. Our electrical worked before bringing it in but did not after servicing. Making Waves said their notes indicated all was working.not the case. In fact, there was water in one of the lights. They would not come to service it on site.too busy. We spent a lot of money to not have our boat operating properly. We ended up going to another marine service operator who came to our home and confirmed the electrical was not working; repairs were made. Service quality and honouring work done is poor at Makin' Waves Bancroft. Get them to confirm their work before you leave the lot.or, check around. There are other service providers who do great work and follow up with their customers.

Called looking into atv accessories and spent much of the time explaining what a snow thrower front attachment was to the individual who answers the phones. They put me on hold while they asked their colleagues and when they got back on the phone told me it would be 7000 dollars and take at least a year to order it. I’ve not used them for repair work or servicing but my neighbour has. Once on a oil change the mechanic forgot to fill it back up with oil. They ran it just after that and seized the engine.

Good quality service of my 175 and 9.9 Mercury. Knowledgeable people, I have received good advice on several issues over the past few years.

Left our outboard motor there for repairs. Called two weeks later to see what was happening and they didn't even know what we were talking about. Let alone fix the the problem or even look at it.

I would give then less the a start if I could! It took them 11 weeks to get my inverter fixed and it came back running the same way it went in!

I’ve shopped here for the past 8 years for odds and ends and Its time I mention how incredible these people are. Just recently I was missing an important single screw for my Yamaha snowmobile and they went out of their way to find the right sized part as a solution for me even though they are not a Yamaha dealer. I understand how busy they have been this Winter and they still took the time to get me running again. When I showed up curbside to pick it up they didn’t even want my money. Truly impressed by this dealer, and will continue to support them in return over the years to come.

Excellent service. Jamie and staff are very knowledgeable and professional. Had CanAm ATV, Arctic snowmobiles in for service, the problem/solutions were given and work completed on date stated. Integrity at it's best.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Every experience I have had with them has been incredibly positive. If you need any work done at all to your recreational vehicles, no matter the make or model, get your work done here! I have lived in Bancroft for 25 years, this is my legitimate unbiased opinion.

Excellent service. Jamie, Jen and their staff are friendly, knowledgeable and get the job done right! We have gone to them for repairs and purchases and have never left disappointed. Highly recommend them!

Got what I needed at good price. The only issue I have here is I called them to order a part and they said they would call back but never did. Ended up going to Bellville to get part.

Making Waves, Bancroft. Great place, friendly service, accommodating, a go to place for all boating needs.

Great experience. Boat motor quit on me the second day of our vacation. They ordered the part I needed and got me back on the water.

Bought new pioneer1000 le5 outstanding performance, broke it in on dungannon mud bog finished it all the way through cant say enough about the bike. Jamie/Jen and staff are awsome to talk to curtious, helpful, everyone goes out of their way to help and pricing is pretty decent.

Left my boat here for service I was told it would be done in a week. Two weeks later they still did not touch the boat. After countless phone calls and telling them I am going to pull my boat they finally started to work on it a month later! You basically have to stay on top of them if you want the work done. I will never consider Makin Waves again! If I could rate zero I would, STAY AWAY.

Not too happy with a staff member who complains about having to look up the part I needed in the "aftermarket" catagory. He was supposed to call me back with a price so I could order it in for my snowmobile. After a week and a half, I drove to Royal Distributing in Whitby and purchased it right then and there. Sorry Makin Waves that my sled wasn't your dealer brand you sell, but you did say when you opened your doors that you would order in ANY part that was needed, no matter what the make of your sled or quad, ECT.
I guess that doesn't stand true anymore now that you are established. People remember the little things that matter.

We had an amazing experience purchasing an ATV. They went above and beyond to help us out when we needed one quickly. Special thanks to David for making our day! We look forward to Making Waves, our go too place for our toys!

My father made a appointment a week ahead of time. He dropped the boat off morning of the appointment and was told it wouldn't be looked at the day he had the appointment made for. The boat sat outside in the elements for another week before my father went and just brought it home. It was never looked at by their mechanics. Brought it to a marina in Port Perry and they diagnosed on the spot with a simple stator problem and they fixed it.

They are great.
I will be alife time customer there for now on
