Absolutely bad service ever. I have been waiting for 1 hour and half but they couldn’t make my order. Worse restaurant in Canada. It should be banned from Danforth.

I ordered mixed vegetables curry and Beef curry. Both the items were old, from yesterday and half rotten.

Authentic foods, best Bangladeshi foods you can have in Toronto. If you are sylheti this’s the right restaurant for you. Foods are cheap, also tasty and best quality. Services of Bilkis aunty was very professional and efficient. She took the orders from us with smile and brought the food on accurate time. Worth of every penny I’ve spend. Thank you for giving us the deshi khana.

Bihari kabab is my go to order here. Some days it's mediocre, some days its great. Never disappoints though.

I strongly advise against spending your money at this restaurant, as the quality of their food is absolutely appalling. The prices they charge are much higher compared to the standard they claim to uphold. As a Bangladeshi, I have a basic understanding of how these dishes should taste and how other restaurants prepare them. Unfortunately, my recent visit left me extremely disappointed.

I ordered a whole Tilapia dopeyaja, Beef curry, and Faluda, and every single item was tasteless and clearly past its prime. The fish, in particular, was overcooked and clearly not prepared as dopeyaja. Instead, it seemed like they simply boiled the fish in turmeric water and added some onions on top.
The beef curry was equally unsatisfactory. It was soggy, overly salty, and tasted like it had been sitting around for far too long. It appeared that they consistently relied on reheating old gravy, rather than preparing fresh dishes.

To make matters worse, the consequences of consuming this food were severe. I experienced severe diarrhea after the meal, which required a visit to the doctor. If you doubt the authenticity of my review, I encourage you to try the restaurant yourself and witness the waste of your hard-earned money. However, I must warn you that you are likely to be deeply disappointed.

The lady at the counter was very helpful to this first time very hungry and tired customer.

Poor poor customer service. We have been regular customer to this place but just cant resist myself posting this negative feedback. The lady literally shouts at people everytime. I dont get how such rude person is placed to take the order and serve the people. Such a nightmare whenever you want to ask something to her.

I went there for a take out, they kept me waiting in the line for 10 minits then took my order, then again 10 minits wait and they gave me the wrong parcel.and the lady who was standing in the front was so cruel and rude why i told her that it was a wrong order.such a bullshitt.i am bever going back there

The cashier just walks out of the conversation while attending the customer. Also asked her to make two separate bills. She charged the entire bill on my friends card.

I recently started ordering from here because I'm pregnant and have weird cravings. Their tilapia dopiaza whole fish is amazing. However, their service is terrible. And I can not emphasize how terrible it is. The lady at the front who takes orders is careless, she will give out food randomly and they don't match orders. If you ask her for sone napkins, she'll disappear to the back or get busy doing something else. Once I asked her for a take away box, she handed me an oily stained one. I mean come on. Sometimes when it's busy you'll be waiting 25-40 minutes just to place your order because she takes one order and then disappears to the back. When I complimented her food I didn't even get a thank you and when she messed up my order, not a sorry or pardon me. I'm only ordering there because I am craving for this fish but otherwise, to be honest I'm not going to eat there again after my pregnancy brain is gone. I've heard similar stories about that place from friends, I think if their food wasn't good, no one would go there again.

Cheap tasty Bangladeshi food. They have improved their menu as well. They are still doing a good job.

I ordered beef Byrany but I got chicken Byrany it was very embarrassing because I took out food for my guest. Worse customer service. They should know teeth came out doesn't mean you smiling. It’s just represent you got big size tooth.

We ordered khichuri (lentil rice), duck curry, and borhani (yogurt drink). Reasonable portions and prices. Quality and taste of food are quite homely (not too greasy)!

We have been going to this place for years. The best chicken biryani in town for the price. Other dishes are very tasty too. But we mostly go here for their chicken biryani. Wednesday special don't miss it up.

The food might be fair priced here but the quality of the food is very low! I had ordered couple of UberEats deliveries with them and the first few were good but later the Food quality started decaying and since my recent order I got very sick! I would not recommend this low quality and unsanitary restaurant to anyone! Trust me you will get sick after few orders because they tend to give leftovers!

Ordered kababs and naans. Called them earlier to let them know we were coming, but told them we were dining in. Despite that, they made the food to go. Felt unwelcome because it seemed like they didn't want us to eat in. Even if we wanted to eat there, they hadn't turned on the singular space heater that was meant for the whole restaurant. It was freezing. When we tried to complain, they hid from us in the kitchen. Also, the restaurant had dirty floors. By the time we got home, the food was cold and the kababs were rubbery and hard to chew. If you wear dentures or braces, please be careful.

Ordered butter naan, onion kulchha and paneer makhani (chef special) and it was a disaster. We couldn’t eat anything- tried getting naan out of burnt section but it was thick and uncooked. Paneer makhani - worst I have had in my life- water gravy with oil and strange kinda paneer- couldn’t figure out what’s that. Definitely don’t recommend for any vegetarians for these items. So disappointed- spoiled our Friday dinner. ️. Please don’t keep these items in your menu if you cannot make it. Not a good customer experience at all.

Worse customer service. I went to the restaurant and asked for a small order, they took more than 30 minutes to make the order, I asked for hand sanitizer, their staff told me to bring own hand sanitizer, they can’t provide hand sanitizer though, also their staffs behaviour are super rude.

I really Liked their Mango flavoured Lassi drink. I often have it from there.
In addition for a full course Beef-Khichuri is also appreciating. Thank you.

Unbelievable Bengali taste in Canada. Few of my friends became regular customer. Thanks for your great service in Toronto, Canada. Would highly appreciate if you open a branch in Winnipeg as well.

A good restaurant with a good food menu. Pricing of their foods are fair. Quality is fair enough. Sometimes things go wrong, like too much oil in the food/ugly looking color of the gravy but this happened to me only once which is an acceptable ratio to me. Food serving amount is great, more than enough for a single person. Although the amount of daal/pulses they provide is very less, even after paying $2.00 for a whole container of daal, they will provide you in a small container which is not cool at all. Hilsha fish in here is not that great, but the boneless one is great. Biryani is good, great if you compare the price with many other restaurants. Tandoori items are so so, not that great and not that bad either.

Their restaurant is hard to find in the map as the name is exactly same to the other restaurant on the same road in 4 km distance. They should sort this thing out.

Service person are a bit grumpy and not that much welcoming. But they have a good crowd and different kind of customers coming all day long. So, I can understand.

Washroom is sort of poor. I had to go to ladies washroom as there were no soap in gents washroom and there were no hand sanitizer at their counter.

In the conclusion and in short, if you just worry about the food and pricing, I'd say that it is a recommended restaurant.

I think the cashier that works there is extremely rude and arrogant (he is a young male), not at all welcoming, won't even try to give you enough information regarding any dishes. And he has been rude to me every time I was there. When you work as a customer service representative, you have to be welcoming, polite and cheerful because you are representating the whole restaurant.

I picked up a party tray of biryani and lots of other items food is good but customer service is poor and zero. Attitude is too much I won't be going back. I'll go to the one near Dufferin.

I simply liked their dishes. I always get good customer service there. The place is well kept and the staff members are always welcoming. Would recommend to others.

Came here on/off for over 2 years. Their food standard & safety is a BIG problem. Some days their foods are fresh & good, some days you'll get food poisoning! Some days they over charge you, some days they charge fair. It's a gamble with lady luck eating in this Makkah.

At 4 pm on December 31,2020. Me and my friend were on hyper on the eve of happy new year. We went to Makkah, a young man of early twenties were in the cash/customer service.

He didn't greet us, even didn't say hi, bye. We ordered food, got the food from him, still he didn't talk. We said, hi, bye, thank you. Still, he was mute miserabley. We understand where the managers have come from, but at least, they could've learnt from others in their Canadian life to train their employees, but they don't care, becasue they don't understand good customer services and basic courtesies. We had a very negative customer service experience. We will avoid this bad restaurant in this year.

Chicken biriyani is okay. But don't try beef khichuri or tehari.too dry and they use meats that are already dried up. Kababs are okay since they are made on order. Overall, kebab and naan combo will be a good option, and not the rice items.

Another thing, I feel they use tasting salt (ajimanoto) in all dishes and I don't like the taste.

Great spot to have some food when in a hurry. Their customer service is quick, rates are affordable, fantastic atmosphere. Would recommend to others

What a horrible place to eat! Food tastes like microwaved multiple times. The service needs to improve BIG TIME! Save your hard earned money and go somewhere else!

Ok Bangladeshi food. I like their beef kichuri. The sitting is quite big and overall clean. Far cleaner and spacious than some other desi restaurant in the area. Online order is available but I think the fee kills the deal. No parking available. You would need to park on the street.

Food is not fresh and the owner is Bengali very rude told him the chicken curry had very bad smell & the nan was burned. The washroom is very dirty no hand soap sticky floor

I've eaten here a few times and always been satisfied. I took food home for the first time.horrible. 3 pieces or grizzly meat in a container of rice.the flavor of the rice was nice but.where's the beef.

Food is okay and the customer service is horrible. I paid $2 more than the price shows in the menu, the guy at the register told me that's tax. Asked for the receipt but was told that they ran out of the receipt roll and can't give me any printed copy. He also added that the tax is $2.40 but he gave me 40 cents discount. I was asking him to charge me exact amount of tax but he needs to give me the receipt. He said he won't be able to give me a receipt. The name of this restaurant is "Makkah" but their business ethics is very opposite. Won't go back to this place again.

Halal and bengali restaurant with different Asian taste dishes including biriyani, kebab and sweet items.

The food is regularly fresh and delicious, cashiers provides good customer service. I like the cleanliness and mood. Will visit here again.

I like their chiken tikka roll. Chicken tikka is made in a real tandoor. Tasty food and great pricing

Best beef khichuri in town! Hands down! I actually eat there and bring extra for home! Fyi most items are oily (as usual for the flavour) with lot of spices and they also throw in green chillis so most items have heat. For biryani/khichuri dishes there is no escape from the chilli heat, but for curries i just wipe off any gravy from the meats!

Poor customer service, does not use gloves when preparing food, I wonder how the got the Dine Safety PASS.
The funny part is that they charges tax if paid by card with cash they doesn't.

Good place for full satisfaction for Bangladeshi food. The kebabs are really tasty! Price is very very reasonable.

Guest: Please make sure food is fresh and asked them twice specially when you take out.

Good people but they want to get ride of the old food sitting there many days mix them up and sell them.

Small joint that serves decent food for cheap. If on a budget I highly recommend coming here. Had the foot long kebab, salty and nice and pairs well with the naan. Food is served on styrofoam plates.

I've been searching this place forever since August 2018. My sister told me about this place every time she came here to eat.

They make sure that the food is as authentic Bangladeshi cuisine they can make as possible.

Don't mind the shabby situation of the upholstery and all. The cashier/manager/handler is a nice man, if you are nice to him (can't blame a human being for having an attitude, we all have our aesthetics). Enjoy the meal, forget the state.

I'd like to mention one of the reviewers here, Farhana Sultana who mentioned the "kojila shingara" and it truly is amazing. I'd recommend that and also the Haleem with Naan bread. Made me miss my North South University days.

Beef biriyani did not have a piece of beef in it. Very disappointed after driving there from all the way from the other side of the city.

This restaurant is nothing like the Donland’s location (were we eat from all the time and the food is also good). I ordered food for delivery through Uber eats and the tikka and butter chicken arrived raw. The fish curry was also very watery and the pakoras were simply garbage. I called the restaurant to complain and explained that under cooked food is not acceptable and i wanted the food replaced. The guy who answered the phone was very rude and refused to replace the food. He simply told me call Uber eats, I can’t do anything. I’ll never order from this place again.

The Man on the Cashier was extremely rude, No customer service what so ever, some times he charge tax some days he don't, depends on his mood I guess, either way quality of food is really poor. I don't recommend this restaurant to any one.
