Be careful when hiring these guys to close your pool. Tried cutting corners by not putting chemicals in. Wouldn’t recommend.

Awful company to deal with service.will take your money but will not back up their own work nor will they take any resposibility for their work

Don’t be fooled, once they take your money all pleasant communication goes away. Quality of work is garbage. Workers leave a mess with cigarettes and garbage everywhere. Will not repair anything or any work they have done even if necessary. Do not get involved with this company. There are better local pool companies

I called not too long ago to ask some questions about some stuff. The girl on the phone was really rude will never call again.

If you are interested in getting a pool, I do not recommend that you use this company. They truly are the worst to deal with, they don’t guarantee work, don’t fix mistakes, don’t return phone calls, terrible work quality and are dishonest and a rip off! That is for sure.

Every problem with the pool install is not their fault. It is the concretes' fault, homeowners' fault, pressure washers' fault. Very poor workmanship and even worse customer service. Job was incomplete but wanted final payment, would not address outstanding issues. Most likely because they are incapable.

They leave the job site (my backyard) a mess each day. Cigarette butts all over the yard, chunks of concrete, dirt / mud everywhere, metal / screws left in driveway and yard. Damaged sump pump discharge line and pretended to not know about it.

They say one thing and do another or really do nothing. Worst contractor I have ever dealt with both professionally and personally. Save yourself the headache look elsewhere.

I think Malibu may be more focused on the pool installation and service side (I've heard good things), rather than retail store operations. Far too often they are not open when they say they are. Hardly answer the phone. I've wasted a few trips there, well within posted business hours, only to find they're not open.
It's a shame because they are conveniently located to where I live but I'll go for the sure thing and drive 5 km north to get my retail products.

With pool installations being in high demand, Jonathan Quagriella and Malibu Pools made sure that was never an excuse used to not reach out to you in a timely manner. Jonathan answered our inquiry within a day and was at our house within 2 days to gather more details. Malibu Pools runs a great system with professional project managers in Steve and Frank. Details of the project and deadlines were clearly communicated and I was never not knowing what the next step was. One thing I found value in was their honest opinion. They didn't try to push a product (LED lights, salt water system, ionizers, etc.) just to get more money from you, they truly advised whether what you were interested in was a good fit for your overall project. If you are looking for a pool company that is professional, experienced, and has been around for decades, I strongly recommend using Malibu Pools.

I just felt I had to write this review because of a terrible experience I had with a Malibu pools employee this afternoon. On my way home from work when I was getting off of the highway, I was at a red light and as it turned green, I was starting to accelerate, one of the two guys in a Malibu pools Cube Van was aggressively laying on the horn nonstop, swearing and giving me the finger which very unnecessary and unprofessional. After this experience, my friends, family and I will no longer look to them for their services.
