Malvern Community Recreation Centre

The place is comfortable and has everything you need, there are many programs running at the same time for kids or for adults, the place is family friendly, and reception and staff are present anytime, this is the first time I come here, I usually come to the library but never to the centre and I’m happy to register in one of the programs.

It’s a good facility (very old looking one though), facilities are good, there is indoor basketball, ice hockey rink. I play basketball here during summer Monday & Wednesday 8: 30 PM - 1015 PM. One needs to register with them to be able to be a part of any of their programs.

Public Library and Community Recreation Center in one building! Great place to spend on with family especially kids.

Compared to other recreation rinks, i find this the most comfortable one to skate in! The ice stays smooth for a long time with the smaller population that skates here.nice maintenance and rink:)

Such a great spot in the neighborhood. Has a library, gym and ice rink. Lots of programs to choose from like basketball, cooking, skating and so much more.

Everything for Covid Vaccination centre very clearly marked. My dad was in wheelchair, the fire dept. N ambulance volunteers helped him right from car to getting Vaccination n then back to the car very graciously. Very well set-up. Big thanks to all connected with it.

We came here yesterday to get our first vaccine shot and we were so impressed with how organized everything was! Plenty of signage, lots of people onsite to help give instruction - in fact, there were probably more people working there than people coming to get vaccinated.

Everyone was really friendly and in good spirits. Definitely made the experience more enjoyable. Would highly recommend!

My husband and I went here for our covid-19 vaccine. The people working there could not but nicer. From start to finish, they all made this experience as good as it could be considering I was getting a needle.which I hate. Thank you to all working at this location.

It is a community gathering space with a full public library branch. It still maintains much of its original appearance though has received minor upgrades and renovations in its decades of servicing the community locally. It has gained regional importance as I went to get my Covid vaccination at a mass vaccination site situated there. Sadly the staff turned me down due to health risks, but I look forward to returning once I feel better in a few weeks!

Its my girls first time there.they're in gymnastics they love it the teachers are very nice and funny.

Clean, maintained, many activities for kids including ice skating and hockey. The staff are helpful.

I've only used the gym facilities for ball sports. The gym is large with good hardwood flooring. Not a lot of seating room at court-level but I've never been there for competitive events, just for practice sessions. Overall I'd say it's a good gym. Haven't used the other facilities. Parking can fill up quickly when multiple sport activities are happening, I.e. Hockey practice and basketball or volleyball practice.

Staff are rude and intolerant. They don't make the place welcoming. If you're standing around for more than 5 minutes this tall fat guy comes over and tells you get out, or go to the library. There's never anyone in the place during the day so I don't know how their statistics are like and how they continue to get funding if they kick ppl out. Also, the place is dirty, dingy, and disgusting. Bathrooms are a horror show.

Tons of activities for babies, toddlers and small children, youth and seniors. The membership is $5-10 depending on what you are signing up for. They also have a computer center, women's centre and a gym. They also have meeting rooms that can be rented out. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We met with Ilwaad who sat with us and explained how their services work. We are so thankful to have such an important facility in our community.

It needs a lot of upgrading and improvement. It’s been very neglected. OTHER neighbourhoods would never stand for their community Centre’s to be in this condition. It’s very dirty. If your taking a karate class upstairs or a gymnastics class downstairs. You will definitely walk away with a thick layer of filth on your clothes and 2 layers of black on your feet.
As we all know Toronto barely considers Scarborough as a part of Toronto and especially Malvern. So resources barely come this way. They consider us the bottom of the barrel.
The whole place needs a good mopping.

Very great place to hang out and chill with friends. Very great staff and are super clear about all the rule when asked.a really great place, keep it up!

Sports fields in good shape. Baseball, soccer, tennis and a beach volleyball court. Community centre with library attached. Also two rinks, a gym and community rooms. Wheelchair accessible.
