Dr. Neil Ingber is the best! Very knowledgeable and it’s evident that he has been working really hard to improve his practice and provide the best he can for his patients. Not sure if I can say he’s perfect, but he is no doubt going to be, if not already, one of the best doctors in this city maybe even this country.

Highly advisable to bring a mask as it’s pretty common-sense that people visit the clinic when they’re sick. You should do your part to protect yourself and others. Appointments can be booked online via the website, it’s a fairly simple process. Overall, a very great clinic.

Receptionist terrible takes 3 days before someone picks up the phone. They all have their own policies on how the clinic runs. Maybe the doctors are great but nothing is worth the treatment the front desk staff dishes out. Not the kind of people you want to get caught dealing with when your sick. Hope they can fix this soon.

Im only there for my family doctor, he is a champ! And for 2 ladies- front desk (I didn’t get their names) the other ones are very very rude. That’s why I’m not giving the 5 stars

This was by far one of the worst experiences I’ve had. Starting with the receptionist up till my interaction with Dr. Gupta.

The ladies in the front were not welcoming, kind or warm to speak with. They were very to the point and didn’t seem willing to answer many questions.

After waiting 30 minutes for the doctor, I wish I just did my research and didn’t waste my time. This was by far the worst doctor I have ever visited and I definitely will not be going back or would recommend Dr. Gupta. As a dermatologist i’d only assume the doctor would ask question to evaluate what kind of skin I have to assist me to improve my skin. Dr. Gupta, comfortably sat in his chair as I GOT UP EACH TIME and walked towards him to show him sections of my skin that needed to get fixed. He did not ask me any questions about my past experience with my skin, if I had allergies, if this was normal. Absolutely nothing. After me asking him to give me a prescription for my eczema he just gave me a random one and said use this for the whole body. I have eczema on all different parts of my body and never I have used the same one for my arms on my face as the face is more sensitive and when I asked him if he can double check if it’s okay for my face and full body he kind of just brushed it off like “full body, it’s not gonna work but i guess try”. Like.you’re a dermatologist, you are here to help patients with their skin issues. I have reached out to other high quality dermatologist and will be ongoing my care with Lynde dermatology - kind staff and GOOD doctors.

(Dr. Gupta has a medical assistant who was lovely, I think she was the person I spoke to over the phone and she was so friendly and lead me to believe this would be a good experience. I was completely wrong)

My five stars go to Dr. Dale Conner in person. Very attentive, knowledgeable and caring. Unfortunately, the Centre’s service is extremely bad. The receptionists are very rude, they hardly answer the phones for appointments.

Honestly if I could I would rate this zero star, this is how horrible and horrendous the receptionist service is. I WAITED 40 minutes each time I call, and they respond back to reviews saying we're sorry but they don't care. Honestly if your reading this and you are either choosing to get a doctor here or already have a doctor here, I suggest that you change your services here.

I would give a zero rating if available.their phone and online booking is totally non functional.if you need an appt today you will not get it until two weeks later. Good luck with their phone line and online booking, you would have to go in person to get an appt for after two weeks. They should close down their business and handover the admin to someone who can run it efficiently.

Room/office 402 for ENT service is really unprofessional and however I had an appointment I had to wait around 2 hrs for meeting the doctor.

From my personal experience of 33 years I have had very pleasant receptionist. And to be honest, yes it is a long wait time to see the doctor he gives his patients his honest time with. I appreciate what my doctor does.

Dear Malvern Medical: Firstly, please don't respond to this review with the cliché response of, "we're working on our phone systems etc".

My experience with this clinic over 15 years has been riddled with inefficiencies. Unfortunately, like many other reviews, I have to agree. A major face-lift in professionalism and communication is needed at this clinic. This lack of effective service surpasses being at a new location and working on updating your phone systems. Many of your front desk staff have always been rude, even at your Neilson location. It seems to be reflective of the office culture, moreso than individual personalities. The switchboard options are horrible and access to our family doctors are a tedious wait! Now, the clinic has moved to a new location where, the simple courtesy of having a cup of water for clients, is not even attainable. I am not joking- I asked for water and was told there was no water cooler nor option for drinking water, while I waited to see my doctor.
My experience with the doctors have been pleasant, however, some lack the ability to manage their workload effectively. Too many times, doctors keep patients waiting extended periods to receive results, callbacks etc. Their communication system needs a lot of work & it is very bad for business.

As with many other reviews, I have to admit that the wait times to have your call answered to book an appt is ridiculously long. The wait is never less than 30 minutes. I'm anxiously awaiting an improvement of the wait times to book an appt and better customer service.

However, the wait time to see my doctor Dr. AL Hamami is very minimal. This doctor is very respectful of patients time and once you're in his office, he never rushes you. He listens attentively to my family's concerns and asks questing for clarifications. Dr. AL Hamami is by far the best doctor I've encountered in my 40+years and this is the only reason why I endure the horrendous wait times to book an appt. Thank you Dr. For your genuine care and concern you've shown and given to my family. You are the best and we truly do appreciate you. Thank you, thank you kindly!

I got the rudest most negligent treatment here from Dr L Bacher. It's been a long time but it really was that bad. Hope he's taken some anti-bias training since then. This is your reminder to never settle for a doctor that doesn't take your concerns seriously or one that implies or says that you are exaggerating your pain or discomfort. It can be dangerous for your health.

First time with this medical centre since our family doctor was retired. The receptionist was nice and prompt. The wait time was like less than 2 mins. Our new family physician Dr. Connor whom was recommended by our family doctor was also friendly and informative:) It was a very pleasant experience

Calling the clinic is a nightmare. You are put on hold for an hour then the call drops. I have called other clinics before but someone answers. This is terrible. Awful. Frustrating. Tried to book online and went to the clinic but the appointment is not booked. Walk-in clinics are better than this.

Malvern “medical” centre is the absolute worst. Completely horrible. The “doctors” are terrible and lack bedside manner. Ive witnessed doctors here turn away babies and children and individuals with special needs who desperately needed to be seen by their family doctor. If you’re turning away your own patients and have no regard or care for your patients health as their family doctor, then you’re a BAD DOCTOR.

It is virtually impossible to book an appointment through the phone with these people. The reception and admin staff are the absolute worst. They’re rude.

This place is always understaffed but continues to overbook, which only highlights poor management and greedy owners. The owners and their partners should be ashamed for putting such a disservice in this world.

I truly believe this place hurt more people then they’ve helped. I’ve already given up on my family doctor and would rather have no family doctor then to have one at this place.

Malvern Medical Centre Sucks.

Don’t be fooled by the one star, that is only there because this review system forces you to give at least one star. Malvern “Medical” Centre gets ZERO stars.

On Jan 12, called twice during my lunch hour to book an appt with my DR, no answer for 1/2 hour. Shouldn’t there be an answering service for call back, the staff is also on lunch at the same time.disappointed

Emailed this clinic to get confirmation I can come to the clinic since I have no family doctor. The email fully confirmed to go Saturday for walk in clinic to this location. I arrived only to be told they only service patients that are registered with that office. I show her the email she sees it’s from someone at her office however says she never sent it. Here’s how she could have resolved this. Apologize for the error however offer the option to sign up with this office as I kid you not… only one man was in the office, not packed like most clinics. Or she could have confirmed with the doctor If it’s at all possible to see another patient. No attempt to resolve or provide real customer service. Very sad in this day and age. Positive note. The front desk area is fairly clean

Was directed to book my first appointment with the family doctor using their website when trying to call in the first place. But when I got there for the session I booked, they said no record was found because it's a new system and it's glitching. It was a waste of our time. We are a family of 3 and we followed all the guidance the clinic provided. We can not afford the risk to have to visit here on a regular basis.

I hate this location switch even worse then i hate the wait times. Why tell us to book for 3pm, for example, if we won't be seen for another 2 hrs? It's such a waste of someone's time in these days where time is so precious, limited and scarce! Especially without the curtosey of letting ppl know that Dr. Is running late, etc. When I'm late or just think I will be I update accordingly why does this have to be such a lopsided power dynamic?

Worst place ever. Doctors aren't helpful and never available. I haven't seen a doctor in over 8 years. There's a reason why.

Update. Finally got a phone consult. Need a whole bunch of bloodwork. Told them exactly where to send it. Go for my bloodwork.surprise surprise paperwork. So I call them Twice still no paperwork wasted my morning only to come home with no blood work done trying to call them back call doesn't even go to going directly to voicemail or hanging up on me the incompetence of this place is ridiculous.

This clinic is completely unprofessional. Staff here do not care about patients and I would strongly suggest you do not bring your loved ones here. Doctors do not provide client centred care and do not help patients with language barriers. They also do not provide patients with education on their diagnosis, patients are sent away with unresolved questions regarding treatment. Staff does not fill in mandatory documentation and provide inappropriate referrals to the wrong specialists. Patients are also blamed for not communicating correctly, when it’s is the HCP role to correctly diagnose and treat by asking the appropriate questions. I am registered nurse and have worked with many hospitals in Toronto and this place should be reviewed by ministry.

First time coming here today. The old lady at the reception was terrible. I asked her a simple question over how long she thought the wait time would be so. She told me it would be quick today, despite there being like 20 people seated. I just assumed that they were seated for maybe another part of this medical center and didn't think too much of it. As I am writing this review, well over an hour later, I still have yet to see the doctor. I could have gone out and done much more productive things during this time than sit in a waiting room.

Update! 2 hours later I finally saw the Doctor. He was amazing and well worth the wait. This negative review in no way reflects my opinion of him which is off the charts! Rather, it is to send a message to the owners to improve customer service.

Great Dr very caring and knowledgeable. He takes the time to listen. He takes the necessary measures to make sure that your concerns are taking care of. I never feel rushed.

Despite the lengthy bad reviews here, Dr Kleiman is the silver lining at this clinic. He has been my family physician since childhood, and has been nothing short of amazing. He is highly knowledgeable, compassionate, kind-hearted and very professional. He doesn’t rush you, and takes the time to listen to your health concerns - traits rather hard to find these days within the medical community. He also offers evening appointments which is a huge perk considering most people’s work schedule. His calm and caring demeanor makes him easy to talk to. I highly recommend him if you’re looking for a long term physician who you can trust. As for the receptionists, I’ve never had issues with them. They have always been pleasant and accommodating.

Terrible receptionist. Extremely rude and judgemental. I arrived at the clinic for a walk-in on October 9,2019 about a serious matter regarding my mother experiencing a medical episode before boarding a plane. We needed to get an assessment from a doctor and forms signed for insurance purposes. Since my mom mentioned forms to one of the receptionists, she became rude and didn’t want to book us in. She booked us and said “its going to be a very long wait”. My mom and I waited patiently for 2.5 hours. I noticed some patients that came in after us were being serviced before us and I realized that the receptionist moved our file to the end. It was frustrating but I kept calm because I wanted to make sure my mom is safe and healthy. After the doctor saw us, I visited the front to get that receptionists name so I can include it in this review however, she ignored me as she must’ve felt ashamed of her actions.

Beware of the receptionist that follows this description:

Shorter white lady, looks 60 years of age, short silver/white hair and a bigger body build. Always looks angry.

On a brighter note, Dr. O’Brien is an AMAZING physician. I would give him 5 stars. He is the only reason we still come to this clinic while commuting from Oshawa.

Management please assess your front desk receptionists and work to create a better culture so that your clients enjoy coming to the clinic rather than hating their experience.

I am absolutely frustrated with not being able to get anyone to answer. Have been on hold multiple times for over 30 minutes. Answering machine says open at 7am and have tried calling for the past 2 hours and still receiving answering machine at 9 am. I've been a patient for over 30 years and it's becoming very tiresome. Physicians really need to do something about the quality of service their front desk people are "not" offering. After waiting for over a hours I've had to book elsewhere. My doctor is great and will be hearing that she lost money today because her staff is not doing their jobs and making it almost impossible to book with her

Horrible experience with Dr. James Kleinman. After waiting for an hour Dr. Kleinman spent less than 5 minutes with me and rushed me out of his office. I was telling him my symptoms and he told me they didn't seem bad however last time I had this same problem I was in the hospital for 3 days and he didnt seem to listen as he printed out the prescription. The worst part was he prescribed to me some medication and only wrote one down. The pharmacist called him for a verbal confirmation for the other but he refused. Horrible experience and a shame that Doctors like him go unchecked.

Been a patient here since 1997.customer service has diminished over the years sadly. The front desk receptionists have no compassion or gratitude towards any of the patients. My family doctor is Dr Kleiman, hes been very warm, trustworthy and professional to all of my family members. Even though every time I walk in by the front receptionists and feels like I repeatedly get blown in the face by disgruntled ladies, I suck it up for the sake of my awesome family doctor (well worth the hours long wait too for Dr Kleiman)

The front desk people at this medical centre lack the basic ability to communicate with people in a professional manner. They are utterly rude and ignorant. It's a shame because the doctors are good. Front staff treats you like you are a second class citizen. Management really needs to quickly do succession planning and get rid of these people.

My doctor is great (he is the reason for the 3 stars) though it takes FOREVER. I'm pretty sure this place holds the Guinness record for longest wait times for a doctor's office. Many of the receptionists are down right miserable. I try to smile and say hello, it takes basically no effort to do so, they don't even try to fake it and crack a smile. They are like Roz from Monsters inc.

What is wrong with the reception staff at Malver Med Centre? Unhelpful and almost rude. Also lazy. You have to argue with them to get an appointment. I had to threaten 'Indira' with a complaint to her manager to get her to check the computer for an appointment. I called Wednesday to be told I had to call back thd next day to see if an appointment was svailable for Friday. Quite a tug of war to get her to check Monday. She finally and grudgingly did. But what an jnpleasant experidnce. Management neds to do better.

The white old lady is rude. No smile nothing. I was standing on the line and when she became available she was like ummhuh. It just a sound to let me know she czn take me now instead of i can help u now or may i help.at least a smile wuld have done it. And then she was like they are not taking any walk in now though i called before and they said walk in from 9 to 1pm.

I called these people at 11: 10am and ask what time they closing. I was told 12noon. I got in my vehicle drove all the way from whitby got there at 11: 54am and the doors were closed. The receptionist just shouted we are closed. I had to be talking through the gap in the door letting her know i was coming from a distance and if there was anyway she could ask Dr. Kleiman (family doc.) to allow me in. This lady with a evil look just shouted back i wont do that he is not accepting anyone.
This is aplace where sick people in need of help goes and thats the way the front desk treats you. So i called the front desk and ask to speak to my family doctor and she stated he is not in today.

Where do I begin. I've been going here for years and the older I get the more observant I've become of the nature of the reception staff. You will never get a simple hello or hi and never get a "how are you". It's "NEXT", you walk up to them tell them about your appointment, they take your health card, give it back to you then tell you have a seat. I've seen them stare blankly at other patients and say very little, I've also seen them tell a sick man to leave because he didn't have an appointment and he urgently needed to see his doctor. Sure maybe he didn't have an appointment but the way she spoke to the man was very bad. I think their wait times have gotten better because I went during afternoon and I waited maybe 30 minutes which was fine because I've waited almost 2 hours in the past. The doctors here are worth it but the reception staff need to work on their customer service. I cannot believe the number of reviews here where people have complained about the interactions with the receptionists and nothing had been done about it. Even the Doctors hear about it as well (I tried to tell my doctor about my interaction and she told me she was aware and that she would talk to them).

The receptionist don’t even deserve 1 star but had to use as there was nothing lower - ill mannered, impatient, rude where do I begin - they treat you like the card you hand over to them - customer service at its worse - in fact no customer service at all - no telephone manners, keep you on hold and never come back to you - worse attitude I have ever seen.

Ginder of course is very prompt and at least she treats you like a person - when I spoke to her - everything was done well - we should have more people like her who know what they are doing
