The atmosphere and service is fantastic but the food is NOWHERE close to Italian cuisine.

Neighborhood Italian old-school joint. Locals come for friendly service and a lively atmosphere. Menu is simple Italian.

The food is fairly priced but the quality is ok. The pasta seems not fresh and the sauce is very acidic. The best was the garlic bread

I'm a big fan of Mamma Martino's! Good Italian food at reasonable prices. It's a unique restaurant and the service is very good!

I have been coming here for over 30 years and it is my absolute favorite food. I moved to barrie 4 years ago now every time we head to Toronto this is a must stop and I order 4 eggplant parmesan and 6 chefs salads to go. Obsessed is an understatement. But then the family atmosphere friendly staff and so genuine. Quality has never changed just gets better. The owner Bruno is always there greeting everyone and I just highly suggest bringing the family or a date here.

I haven't had such a good carbonara since I visited Italy as a child. Easily the best Italian restaurant in Toronto. I would definitely recommend it to everyone. The Chicken Parm is just, I can't even explain. There's a line in front of the place, so maybe do reservations before hand, if they do accept them, I have no clue.

Get there early or be patient and wait in line! This place is always consistent, family oriented and priced at what it should be for home style Italian cooking. The baked Panzorroti is the best in the city!

The place still looks good and service is nice and fast, but the food was absolutely awful. Greasy and very bland. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend it.

Overhyped. Decor is dated. Food wasn't top notch like we were lead to believe. Service was abit slow. For what we paid, there's definitely much better places and alot cheaper with better quality.

The food is very average and that's not a bad thing. This place offers an affordable alternative to fine Italian. Many of these dishes can be imitated at home. Very good portion sizes at a very reasonable price.

The tomato sauce taste a bit too raw and tart for my liking. The bruschetta was underwhelming.

The pizza was delicious, lots of cheese. However, undercarriage was undercooked, it was still soft and chewy.

The clam pasta was bland but tasted much better with a heaping tablespoon of the table Parm.

Garlic bread was awesome! And only $1.

I love the vibe here, upbeat, lively and family oriented. I will revisit because the overall experience was uplifting.

Lovely spot on the Queensway. The smell of the food hits you as soon as you walk in the door. Everything looks so good, it can be hard to choose! I had a small pizza, and definitely was not expecting it to be this big!

Friendly wait staff, great atmosphere, and love the covered patio. Just be aware that parking is tricky here, plan ahead to park across the street at the Green P parking or on a side street.

Very friendly staff with prompt service. And menu prices have stayed the same.
It’s just good home cooked basic Italian food. The chicken parm is great!
Parking can be a bit of a challenge if it’s busy in the area. But it’s nice to have a local place that’s friendly and reasonably priced.

Absolutely love this place! So affordable, I got the carbonara and pinot, as well as their must get $1 garlic bread, for ~$20! So much ambiance! The decor inside is super cozy, and on the patio you’re surrounded by so many plants! I still want to sit in the sun room some day. I love the food! I’ve never been in an authentic Italian restaurant before but the food has never let me down!

I come here every fall to feast and then head into the manor! If you’re standing in line for it all you can smell is the food inside and it really draws you in!

As always our meals were delicious. Due to Covid its been some time since we were able to go. Our waitress was still there and we were well taken care of. Great time

4 stars for fast and efficient service food is not "authentic" what so ever but the prices are very reasonable. Id rate the pizza a solid 7 out of 10 but the pasta was something else. Tomato sauce tasted store bought and carbonera was not carbonera just an alfredo cream sauce. Would still go back but anyone saying this is authentic food needs to take a trip to Italy.

Delicious food and prices are so reasonable. Long line on a Saturday night but the staff do well communicating wait times and well worth the wait.

Prices are good and service was quick. For being a pandemic they overpacked the restaurant. I found that the food itself (I had the carbonara) was mediocre at best and heavy

This is definitely the best Italian restaurant in GTA! Absolutely affordable, nice portions, plenty of tables. I always return for the parmigiana! The only con is they don’t open at Sunday! Definitely a must go!

Don't bother getting pasta anywhere else. This place is family owned and they make the pasta fresh in house. On top of that the prices are very affordable. There is usually a line up, but it's worth the wait.

The service was amazing fast and efficient. The pizza was really rich and delicious the chicken sandwich was a hit. The prices were affordable.

Lovely old-school family Italian restaurant, great prices and large delicious portions. Get there early, there's often a line-up waiting to get in. Favourite dishes: rigatoni bolognese, linguine al pescatore. The ceasar salads are huge and scrumptious. You want to arrive here hungry.

I would describe this restaurant as a get what you pay for place but with good quality food. It's not the best Italian food I've had but it's enjoyable and the portions are pretty fair for the price. Value wise it's one of the better restaurants around. I had a small pizza with 2 toppings and it was more than enough for one person to eat. I'd recommend it for a pretty decent meal for a fair price.

Incredible service and atmosphere. And one of the best haunted houses into he back! Will continue to come here anually

Best Italian food in toronto. My husband's family immigrated here from Italy, his parents have a home they own in South Italy and this food reminds us so much of the food back home. Thank you mama martinos

Pizza was okay, but the cannelloni and pasta was not that good. The tomato sauce taste like canned tomato.i wont recommended for my friends, the waitress was kind.

No item on the menu over $16, that's going to tell you something. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't excellent Italian food either.
The mamma brachetta bread had sliced cheese?

We didn't try the pizza so I can't comment on that,

If your looking for authentic Italian food, go elsewhere. If you looking to take your family of 5 out to dinner under $100, come here.

Always welcoming- modestly priced Italian food. Good quality but not overly fancy. We visit often with family. They even have a haunted house behind the restaurant. Hearse has a corvette engine in it.

All foods are really good. Very affordable and reasonable pricing. It's like a family restaurant that you can go more often for all kind of family occasions like birthday, or any family celebration like promotion etc

We've been eating at Mamma's for years. Friendly service, family focused and community oriented. We love their home cooking. Veal scallopine, panzerottos and pizzas are our favourite.

I will go back. Nothing fancy and the prices reflect that. Great comfort food and never disappointed. It is what it is - and its good casual dining for the family.

Always busy which is a good sign. Ate at the patio. Our server was kind and helpful. Got ceasar salad and calamari as appetizers, and the main was a penne with rose sauce. I will be honest I'm Italian so personally the food isn't the greatest. But I will say people love this place, the panzos are huge and tasty. The kids liked the pizza.

Soggy pizza with about 3x cheese of what it should have, almost no sauce. Chicken Parm was soggy as well, sauce tasted like it was straight out of the can. Charged $4.50 to add toppings like red peppers to the pizza.

I highly recommend Martino’s Pizza Place to anyone in the Stanley, Wisconsin area. It offers a variety of delicious food, all made using only the freshest ingredients, and has a great team. They give everyone a warm welcome, and go above and beyond to provide outstanding service to keep them coming back again and again.

A few of us were there yesterday afternoon for an early dinner, and everything was great. The service friendly and knowledgeable, the food ordered was delicious and accurate, the portion size very generous, and also very reasonably priced. This will be a place we frequent more often.

Pretty basic Italian food. Prices are great except the espresso was crazy expensive. $7 for a double espresso!? !? !? My apps and entree were pretty good and dinner for 2 with wine, beer, 2 apps and 2 entrees and the double espresso was under $100. Decent!

The food is excellent, everything was delicious and the wait time is worth it. The only thing that was quite bothering is that it's really hard to get the waitresses attention to your table since the restaurant is very busy and large and there's very little waitresses. However, I wouldn't complain, the food was excellent and the waitress was a very nice person. Thank you!

First-time dining wasn't a pleasant experience. The food was totally cold and bland. The veal was chewy and flavourless, for sure it was made a long time ago. Also, the tomato sauce tastes like a tomato can! My cannelloni had just a touch of spinach, and the cheese had no taste. Also, some waitresses were nice, but some of them didn't know how to serve food and behave with the customers. There were two waitresses around our table, the gentleman asked to grab our salad, but I still wanted to have it on the table; this request made the other lady laughing which was rude. I don't recommend this place and never try again.

All about the price. Food is alright to above average but when you combine it with the price it's fantastic. 1/2 litre of wine and two mains for $50. Grab some ice cream across the street as well. There's also a haunted house.

Gross. Taste like can tomato sauce from the supermarket. Apparently they dont believe in straining the pasta. I think a 10 year old can make this dish

Great prices for okay food. Pizza is good but may have to wait a bit during Friday’s and Saturday. Wish there was a separate pick up section for takeout orders.

Not sure how this place got 4.2 reviews. You can probably strangle someone with their pasta. Save your money and go elsewhere. 1 star for Italian name, 0 for the food.

I've been told I need to try Mamma Martinos for the last few years. So the Mrs and I made our way over. The restaurant was busy for a Tuesday night, but the owner greeted us and got us a table in no time.
We had the pizza, veal parm sandwich and the cannelloni.and my goodness, was it ever delicious

Reviews are helpful and whatnot, but you have to try it for yourself.

Mamma Martino's is an institution in South Etobicoke. Decor is kitschy but comfortable. Service is quick. Food is good-nothing special, but for the price point it's worth it. House red is drinkable. Go for the entrées vs the pastas, and just get spaghetti on the side! Their desserts are actually very good, if you don't like whip cream be sure to ask for no whip cream because I'm pretty sure all of the desserts come with it haha. They cannot split cheques but are able to charge different cards, so don't forget your calculator at home.

Just ordered 2 dishes for take out as it was my first time and I was hungry. When got home I started with the gnocchi. It was cooked well but missing something. I went on to the linguini with Italian sausage. I started to mix I as there was little sauce on top and wanted the bottom sauce. I learned very quickly that was it for the sauce. When I tried it, I found it less appealing, as if it was out from a jar and I got the last scrapings. After this experience, this place is not for me.

My boyfriend loves this place and was really excited to take me. He told me it's delicious, big portions and cheap. I agree with him that the prices are reasonable, but that's about it. They get a star for price.

It definitely is busy around 6-7 but after that the dinner crowd leaves and it's not bad. They had so many different people working there (mostly young teens) and no one had uniforms so I couldn't even tell who worked there. We were served by at least 5 different people. I will say that our main server was very good. She was fast, friendly and attentive.

We ordered the veal parm with spaghetti, chicken parm with spaghetti, a side of meatballs, bruschetta and the garden salad. The only thing I liked was the garden salad. The parm was alright.kinda tasted like cardboard, and the spaghetti was lacking. The bruschetta didn't really taste like anything and the meatballs were probably the worst I've ever had. They could also improve on their presentation. Every dish looked like everything was thrown on.but I guess you get what you pay for. The portions weren't big in my opinion, I've had bigger dishes with more food at other establishments.but again, I guess for the price you pay.it's not so bad.

Overall, I went home unsatisfied and then with a tummy ache the rest of the night. Don't recommend.

DO NOT BOTHER. We had the lady in the back room absolutely clueless n claimed she worked there 12 years. Wow! She ignored us after we were seated. Didn't introduce herself. Told us she'd be back 3 times instead of taking our order. She got everyone orders wrong; she kept coming back to confirm orders. She didn't have the courtesy to ask if we or the kids wanted water. By the time she showed up we were upset and ordered our meal and asked for water without ice. What do you think we got? Water with ice. We were a table if 4 2 kids and 2 adults and she came out with 3 glasses. She never came back with the 4th glass so I walked to the bar and got it. She never came and asked if we wanted water or anything ever thought out our meal. We gave up waiting for the bill after 15 mins n asked a girl who was cleaning the table to get it for use on though our server was in the room on 3 separate occasions. Will not go back! Food was okay the kids enjoyed it but the service was appalling or should I say nonexistent.

We used to go there once a month, that how good food was. When cooking at home i tried to replicate Mamma Martinoes flavour. But then the taste of pasta and sauses changed. Alfredo became salty and clumpy, same carbonara and red sause more sour. We started going less. But last time meat balls turned into bread balls and calamari instead of tender and nicely seasoned became spiced breaded rubbers. Couldnt even finish dishes, left full plates instead of packing a take-out. Unfortunatelly Bruno is never around now so we could tell him. Would be better if they rise the price instead of dropping the quality. We wont come back

Truly horrible for my first time I heard good things form my co workers but my first time with my family 0f 4 went in today around 515 we recieved our antipasto in good time calamari and musles they promote fresh so when we recieved the calamari I asked if they where fresh or frozen and my server that was part of the family said that's a good question I'm not sure and affter asking several staff for garlic bread it took 25 min by that time the bread showed up our food was cold and they had the nerve to ask for payment of the calimar

Absolutely amazing food with an authentic Italian environment. This place is crazy busy due to the freshly made food at the best prices in the area. The only price that is a little steep is their pizzas. With that in mind, get their panzo since you can get two meals out of that with three toppings for under $12. Any of their pastas are fantastic since the noodles are obviously done in house along with the sauces. If you want to avoid the wait to get in then I suggest sitting at the bar or else you could be waiting over an hour on weekend dinners. I have gone twice so far and loved the overall experience both times so I will be coming back again.

If you are looking for excellent, authentic Italian that tastes like it was made by Nonna, this is the place for you. The restaurant is charming with many seating options. Their solarium and patio are particularly lovely on a warm, sunny day. The quality of the food is outstanding and the prices are unbeatable. I have paid much more for much lesser Italian food. I travel from Mississauga for this! I have been coming to this restaurant for the past 10 years and I recognize a lot of the staff still. The place has a lovely family-run atmosphere. Try their chef salad with their homemade dressing.it is to die for! I can't recommend this place enough.

We came in Saturday evening with a large party and Kristal was our server. She was extremely attentive and never let our drinks go empty. She had a positive and humerus energy that almost made us forget that we waiting over an hour for our food. She was running off her feet but always had a smile on her face which made a positive experience for us. The chicken Parmesan dinner was fabulous and huge. My only complaint (besides the wait for food) was the ridiculous wait for garlic bread, 30 minutes? That would have at least tied us over until our food came if we got it at a reasonable time. My son was mesmerized with our server and has decided for his birthday in 2 weeks that he wants to go to Mama’s! Thanks Kristal!

Mamma Martino’s is a community staple and we love it! Prices are amazing for the portion sizes! Food is great, but service is super slow — be prepared to stay a while! We have been more than a dozen times and twice orders have been forgotten after already waiting an hour+ for food.

This place doesn't have the same quality and friendly staff I remembered it having. Food was bland and boring, serving sizes were good for the price, but the poor service and boring food make the whole family want to avoid this place.

I’m not tough when it comes to food, and pasta and gnocchi aren’t tough dishes to make half decent. Delicate flavours, honest ingredients, and step 1 2 and 3. It’s very affordable food, but you could absolutely do better buying premade sauce and a package of gnocchi from the grocery store. My chicken Marsala was fine and I finished it, as were the flavours of my bolognese, but the spaghetti was over cooked and I’m not sure what noodles they use or make, but the texture was absolutely lacking.tasted like just water and flour. How do you have such a bad noodle at an Italian restaurant? My friend got the gnocchi and it was honestly not edible. A can of ravioli would’ve been better. I thought she was being a diva, but tried it and this easy-going-gnocchi-muchin-machine agreed. Very acidic tomato sauce and gnocchi that somehow tasted off? ! Like old.potatoes? I can’t even describe.

My bf and I named this as a **So-Happy Family Diner**! A busy and sometimes crowded place that are easily handled with a very friendly staff and crew. The overwhelming customer service is the key that keeps the happy - chit-chating - family oriented - kinda ambience of this place. Forget not to mention, food are perfectly done and generously served!

I love this restaurant! I've been coming here for over 9 years and it never disappoints. Food is delicious. Great energy from staff and there's decorations during Halloween and Christmas time! Very lovely.

This is one of the best Italian restaurants i haveever been to. The service is relatively fast and the food is delicious. I particularly enjoy the veal parmigiana with spaghetti. The calamari is also to die for! All in all, you will not regret coming here.

The portions are large and the service is good. The wine is reasonably priced. The atmosphere is cosy. I would go back! It's also a good place to pick up some fresh food to eat at home with the family.

Staff was friendly, appetizers were good quality. Pasta was decidedly meh. Bland sauce, undercooked pasta, generally kind of flavourless. I was sold on the restaurant as good quality comfort food, was left kinda disappointed.
