We were services by Eric, Nhi and Even. They were all outstanding in taking care of us. Eric in particular was jovial and lively and made our evening very pleasant. Good food, great service and a lovely end to a long afternoon.
We had a lovely experience at the Burlington Mandarin location. Our waitress, Jenny Rachel, was wonderful and attentive during our entire meal. We will certainly be back! Thank you:)
Always come here and the food and service is consistently amazing. I had the server Eric twice now and he provides great service everytime (plus he has the best name ever)
The food was great, the atmosphere was incredible, but none of that compared to how awesome Victor (our server) was! He was attentive and very funny (ask about the jellyfish)!
Never again They charge us 40 dollars each person Food was terrible not the mandarin that I know You are going to regret Never Never Never again Long as I leave in this province
I had been a regular customer at the Mandarin restaurant in Mississauga Ont Canada. I'm very sad that they are not able to facilitate indoor dining.hope that the situation will change when we have the pandemic under control.
I loved coming here as it holds many memories for my father and I of my brother who died 6 years ago. We come here every year for his “day” and try to celebrate his life instead of being upset. Well last time I went (thank the lord it wasn’t for that reason) the staff was colder than the coffee. I order a alcoholic beverage that at first was so weak and when asked for a tiny bit more vodka was charged a double and half my drink was vodka and I couldn’t even drink it
Best Chinese resturant by far. Such really good food and wonderful atmosphere. I have many years of wonderful memories going there with my mom and dad.
Yummy takeout. Those honey garlic ribs are to die for. Staff was friendly. Great covid organization re doors to exit and enter, hand sanitizing station, and a list of protocols taped to the door. Will be back for sure.
Well. They kind of tried. Yes, valentine's day, family day I knew would be busy. That's why I put my order in the day before and I called around 3 pm to verify order and pick up time and I still had to wait 40 minutes. Did they offer a discount? No. Did I get a treasure bag giveaway? No. Granted. While supplies last. Did I get the 10% discount on pickup order? I think so. Yes the food is good. But having people wait around 20 minutes to an hour inside and out without a decent system to manage customers looking for their orders. I was hoping for more. We deserved more.
They no longer serve crab legs. Dirty glasses on table, servers never return to refill drinks. This place has gone down hill so much. Not returning again.
We have been coming to Mandarin since it opened and have been very satisfied. The staff are excellent. However this time I was disappointed. I always come on wèekends for lobster or crab. I did not realize there would not be any. The roast beef was tough and the quality was not there. The price goes up and the quality comes down. I am not sure my family and I will be returning.
I ate myself into absolute oblivion and enjoyed every minute of it. The selection is amazing, staff polite, deserts for days.just as far as the eye can see! And they have lime sherbet, and that is fantastic.
Food, service and ambiance was as excellent, as usual. I go the Mandarin alone and often; usually the one on Upper James in Hamilton. Everyone knows me by name there cause I go there 2-4 times a month. However, two times in the past year I have been refused service cause it was busy. The last time (2 weeks ago) I phoned just before I left home and was NOT told that it was busy and I needed a reservation. When I arrived 10 minutes later, I was told all the tables were full and refused service. However, I counted at least 25+ people leaving within a 5 minute period. I phoned the manager and he rudely told me I needed a reservation. I told him I would never return as a customer. So I decided to go to the Mandarin in Burlington where I was welcomed. I had phoned first and the young lady reccomended a reservation, just in case because it was New Year's Day. I followed her suggestion and was happy I did because it got really busy towards the end of my meal. Anyway, I appreciated my treatment at the Burlington location and I will never go back to the Upper James location even though it is close to my home. I never want to go through such a humiliating and upsetting situation again.
Friday night visit with family at 6pm. We are big fans of the Mandarin, but not this one in Burlington. My family eats everything, but I eat very clean.mostly fish, chicken, veggies and fruit.no sauces. When you eat like that, it really limits what you can eat there. So when there is no grilled chicken for an hour (no grilled steak either), then all you can eat is broccoli. Had small piece of roast duck.very dry. Hard to over cook duck, but they managed to do it. Good price for a bottle of wine.
My kids and wife said the buffet food was just ok. For $170 supper, I won’t go back there. That’s a lot of money not to be completely satisfied. It was not very busy for a Friday night. Usually buffet restaurants are packed. Now I understand why.
Foods being okay last few times there but to be honest the beef has been well done every single time and we've been going earlier and they've been running out will not be returning again and we went 6 times a year for my kids.very disappointed now
Great selection of food in unlimited quantity, but unsanitary dinnerware. Huge selection of desserts. If you want to eat a lot, this is the place for you. Unfortunately it took the staff over 20 minutes to put tables together for our party of 20 on an evening when there were few customers. The plates were dirty. All of them. Food particles had re-adhered during washing. Mandarin needs to try a different dishwasher detergent, or maybe a new dishwasher. I doubt the dishes had been chlorine rinsed as required by health regulations. Plates were wet, so they obviously had not been heat-dried, which is part of the sanitizing process. It would be helpful if foods were labeled as vegan/vegetarian/fish etc. There were many mystery foods. Diners should be advised that coffee and tea are extra cost items. We were not advised by our server. Coffee and tea really should be included at an all you can eat buffet. If your last visit to the Burlington Mandarin was before 2018, check the map. The restaurant relocated. Unfortunately the old furniture was not left behind. The chairs looked pretty ragged. I've been to less expensive buffets that offer better food, though perhaps not as broad a selection of foods. For the price, you could enjoy a very nice dinner (of fewer items) at a conventional restaurant in Burlington.
Come in with group of 7. Make us stand around at front for 20 min waiting for table even though restaurant is half empty. And then when we get table we are basically told to hurry up as they close in 45 min at 3pm. Food and waiter good.
Awesome mandarin location. Staff are great and food is always fresh. I find the staff do a good job swapping out tongs and wiping things down to keep things clean.
The person who showed us to the dining area was very robotic in her attitude. She didnt seem as though she wanted to be working. We called to make reservations but they lady said that no reservation was needed as they werent overly busy then when we arrived we were told it was gonna be approximately 45 minutes wait. Very unacceptable for such a awesome restaurant.
Mandarin is great food I think this is one of the better mandarins some of them or hit and miss but this one is a good one the two best mandarins are this one and then the one on Upper James in Hamilton they're both really good always satisfied or in pain cuz I eat too much lol
