Everyone who works there tries to make you feel so welcome and if you have a special occasion they really try to make it memorable.
We had the pleasure of having Moon as our server and she above and beyond for my grandma's birthday. She even made up two songs on the spot for us all to sing and chant to my grandma in celebration. It was really fun!
Since then we have been back for a regular dinner night twice and we will coming back for sure.
We also like how they change the menu so you're not always eating the exact same dishes every time you go. Everything taste fresh and is the right temperature. They really got this down to a science.
We will definitely be coming back again.and again haha!

The Mandarin Restaurant at 88 Copper Creek Dr, Markham, Ontario.is excellent. Some times you get the craving for Chinese Canadian food. (Chinese food that has been westernized). If so, this should be your go to location. The all you can eat buffet.has a large assortment of different food.food tastes great.buffet is organized.and clean. Service is excellent. Everyone is friendly and attentive. And a plus.they do not automatically put a "service charge" on the bill (like other all you can eat buffets)! VERY NICE. However.you will want to give the wait staff a tip, because of their amazing customer skills (ie.professional and friendly). Forget the over hyped competition (ie Dragon Pearl and Dragon Legend). This is your go to place for an enjoyable meal!

The service and the food was good. The food was well done. There were various of foods. The desserts were good. They had various options. The mocktail was good the mango and strawberry was very good. The beef was good it was made properly.

Lily provided amazing service for me at lunch, would recommend you go pay her a visit full of life and really funny!

The decorum was amazingly decorated celebrating Canada Day. The service was warm and welcoming by both the managers and the staff. 10/10

The food and service deserve 5 stars but I am giving this restaurant a 1 star because it does not enforce the vaccination mandate properly. Went for lunch on Nov 26th with a group. One of our group did not have proof of vaccination and was allowed in. Another in our group did not have her identity verified. I had the QR code on my phone but the receptionist merely glanced at it, did not verify it in any way. It could have been a forgery. If you are concerned about being with people who are not vaccinated, this place is risky. Hope management will train the staff to better enforce the vaccination mandate.

The staff have always been friendly. It’s always service with a smile. Food quality has always been quite good for a buffet with a good assortment to fit all tastes. Dessert assortment is large. We had been going there for a several years and our last time was 2 weeks before the start of lockdown. It must have been tough for all of them. I hope to visit again in the near future like we used to.

I am very pleased with the staff and the wide variety of selections of different kinds foods for Lunch And dinner. Jerry LIN is very helpful and cares for his customers and needs. Also there food is, excellent also

We went to this place as a family with proof of vaccines & on the website it says it closes at 1030pm. We were tgere at 8: 50pm and this lady wouldn't even let us in and lied the kitchen closed! Nad service and BAD ADVERTISEMENTS

Really friendly and enthusiastic staff. I loved the food this afternoon. I will recommend and I want fried rice added to the menu

I like that they provide disposable plastic hand gloves each time you go back to get food from the buffet area.

We came for a dinner party. The service was great, your staff was excellent. However, the food quality was terrible. Many items should not have been placed at the buffet stands. Items were either over cooked, under cooked, dry or just simply not etible. Very disappointing experience to say the least.

Moms birthday. Too full to type properly. Some solid dishes, deserts were the star. They purposefully make some foods oily and heavy which is annoying. Higher end buffets don’t sabotage like that. Overall, birthday made it special! Fun place for large gatherings.

Was here with my boys for dinner tonight and we were warmly greeted by all the staffs there which made us felt very welcome. The small eat food were amazing and were individually prepared for us the way we wanted it as my boys are very picky eater (no veggies, green onion, sesame, etc.) My boys only eat crab meat rolls and they staffs there went all the way to turn a California roll into a crab meat roll which made my boys so happy. The rib eye steaks were fantastic and cooked to perfection as we like it medium rare and it came out perfect. A lot of other places we ordered medium rare either came out medium or medium well for a much expensive price. We enjoyed our dinner very much and will definitely come back. Keep up the great work Mandarin Markham East.

This is the best location! The food is fresh and excellent tasting. The staff, including managers, Jerry and Mellissa, servers, Michael and Paula are accomodating and very courteous. They are the best!

Good place to dine during the pre covid days, they have limited menu during the lockdown but still good and good value for money. The veg fried rice is something you can’t go wrong. The only downside of dining in is that the place gets too noisy, navigating through the busy queues would be a challenge some may not like but that’s to be expected in a buffet environment!

Awesome and delightful food, I loved the vibes this place has, and the cashiers were very kind. Will definitely eat here again.

This place is doubtless one of the tastiest restaurants in the neighborhood. Every time I come there I am absolutely pleased. They keep their very high standard service and the highest level of cooking they serve. You can never go wrong with this place. Warmly recommended.

The dishes they serve are tasty and the crew is efficient and cooperative.always when we eat in this place we enjoy a lovely time. I recommend this place with pleasure.

Was about to rate it 4 stars but I enjoyed a great complimentary buffet dinner here and waiters and waitresses really tried hard to please freeloaders like me so they really deserve a round of applause! That said, handing out free meals 5 years from now should be preceded by more careful planning to avoid chaotic scenes like what we had on Canada Day this year.

It got there about 7: 30 and there was hardly any food out. It looked like they ran out of food, but the staff there very pleasant.

Food was great! The staff was nice and we liked the wet hot towels that they provide to wash your hands at the end. Will definitely go back!

It was empty for a Friday night with a Raptors game but we still did not get much attention from the staff. I had to ask for drinks and service. Folk around us complained that it was not clean. Soggy yorkshire puddings.they put a glass lid over the top of the container they were in which caused condensation.white fish was bland. The salmon was covered in sauce so you could not taste it. All in all it was just OK.

I waited Infront of the host desk to be acknowledged for at least 5 minutes. The staff acted as if I were invisible, calling to guests that were seated. It was only after no one was around to "distract them", that I was finally addressed. All I wanted was to know which room a party I was joining was located. A whole 15 seconds of their time and courtesy would have made this a positive review.

Wide selections of items. And I destroyed the creme brulee table. Lots of families and food is hot and replaced often. Is it just me or have the options and quality of the food gone down though?

Staff were very nice, service was fast and facilities were clean

Dirty tables and floor with unattentive staff.
The first table we were taken to had soiled table cloths. So we asked to be moved.the staff could not understand our issue.

The second table was not much better with food on the chair and all over the floor. Again staff seemed unaware why we would have an issue.

Server suggested we go and collect food and she would clean the floor.
So we did that and later complained to the manager who just kept smiling and saying sorry thank you for coming.

Food is Mandarin food so no complaints.

Great location came here for my birthday dinner. They have a great variety of foods. The ribs were awesome!

I usually find Mandarins pretty average but the guy who saw us out was literally the cherry on top of our meal. He was very happy and genuinely enthusiastic, not the forced emotions you usually get at restaurants.

I’m also glad that I was still able to get fresh waffles even though the place was closing soon.

Food are junk and garbage. Waste of money and time, not worth at all. Waiter criticized me for not giving a tip he expected. Never step in to Mandarin again in my life. Does nor deserve 1 star.

Very nice location with good service. Dinner buffet is always good here. They were giving cotton candy for kids which was good for kids.

Good fresh food set up on every table, all you can eat meal. There is not stopping, eat till your belly can take no more.

I've been here several time before but after moving to Pickering, visited today for family day. It was packed full and waited 35 minutes to enter to the restaurant. The food as usual good, staff were so busy but helpful, service good as well. Enjoyed with my family!

This restaurant has a huge selection of food. I was surprised to see that they even had cotton candy. The selection of desserts was really good, though there are definitely places where you can get better main courses. I think this place is a bit overpriced, but overall it is a really good place to bring friends or family.

We had an awesome time there at the Mandarin. It's weekend and the house is packed, still we got amazing service. Foods are really so delicious and colorful. We took all-you-can-eat buffet and so many options to take in. We'll really go again soon with friends too.

Charming staff and atmosphere overall. I love the fact that the restaurant isnt limited to foods of chinese culture, Mandarin has food from all around the world!

As with month Mandarin restaurants, the service was exceptional and very friendly. The choice of food is okay, there really isn't anything there to really 'wow' you. The basic fare of sushi, regular expected selections and prime rib, roast leg of lamb. The dessert table was good, clean and well maintained.

I've noticed lately, that the food quality is not up to par as in the past. For example the dumpling festival has the thickest dough I've ever had, it sits heavy in the stomach. The roast beef is just passable, the ice cream ok but not great.
Shrimp is excellent and most chicken dishes are quite good. Service is tops as usual.

I like Mandarin and I’ve been its regular customer for well over 15 years. It pains me to see how mismanagement in this location is hurting its business and ultimately the brand.

We arrived at around 1pm. Even though the restaurant was only 1/3 full, we were told to wait for 15 mins. The reason was because it’s understaffed and they left two partitions empty. We ended up waiting for about 20 mins. Two other groups showed up and they had to wait as well.

During lunch, the waiter was friendly but was obviously overworked. The empty dishes were not emptied as quickly as before. Even getting the bill took a bit of time.

I’m hesitant to comment on the food because of the overall poor experience.

I think the problem mostly has to do with its management rather than its staffs. I hope they can restore the old Mandarin which takes pride on its excellent service.

A bit expensive for dinner. I prefer to go for lunch. Lots of choices and if you stay away from the cheap items you can get a good value. Be strategic and don’t fill up on lettuce.

Of all the Mandarin restaurants I've been to, this is my preferred location because:

- it seems to have more food choices including a salad bar, 3-4 soups, sushi, grilled area, roast, 2 sections for dishes, desserts, soft serve and regular ice cream, and cotton candy machine

- it is more spacious (you can actually walk around without bumping into people)

- it has a nice decor (large aquariums and beautiful/welcoming foyer) and feels cleaner

First time to this location and boy was it wonderful! I called ahead to make reservations, was greeted nicely, the food was great, warm, fresh fish, tons of soups, sushi, desserts, ice creams and they even had a cotton candy machine! Lots of beer and wine options as well, the waiter was super nice and really helpful, even the mabagma at that location was greeting people and even helping, ehich I don't see much. It was a warm environment. I will definitely be going back!

Prices have been climbing steadily to the point of insanity. You can argue that it's "worth it", but not when the quality and selection have steadily declined over the same period.
2 stars are for the aquariums. Very beautiful and exotic fish to take in while you're taken to the cleaners by the restaurant.
