Our server Michael was so wonderful. Great service and really made our celebration for my son’s birthday a treat. The food is very fresh and delicious. Nice to see some new additions to the menu as well as all the old favourites. Restaurant & washroom are tidy and clean.

One of the best Mandarin. We had our daughter's 5th birthday at this location. Food choices were great and service was top notch. Kids were happy too. Shout out to Michael and David who ensure we experience Mandarin best. Would definitely come back next time.

Service great. Sylvia took very good care of us. Great variety of foods. They’re hot and savory. Free if it’s your birthday month, with 3 paying adults.

Went in to get mandarin oranges but they had so much more! As much hot food as you can eat for one price, and you can keep going back up! Staff are great! Only one problem. No Mandarin Oranges!

I was wondering how they were going to work the buffet in the times of Covid, but they have many sanitary practices added now. I'm glad I can still enjoy my buffet dining.

Food was good as always. Was impressed with the cleanliness and how they had you use gloves to serve yourself at the buffet. Very helpful to our group and we're quick to clear finished plates and show us where things were. We will be back!

I was looking forward to find the same variety and tasty food that they used to have, our last experience was no pleasant. No much variety, food was dry. Keep the same standards or you gonna loose customers

Great experience! Customer service, food quality, atmosphere are all very good. This is one of the few restaurants around that understands customer service. My family has visited many times and everything is consistently good. Manager, Francis, is always around to solve any issues. Highly recommended. My thanks to the management and staff.

Great food. Francis the Manager so kind. A wee mix up with our order and he fixed it right away and even added a few items.

Delicious buffet of fresh food, definitely worth the price. Everything tastes amazing and there is an abundance of choices, even for vegetarians. The only thing that isn't up to standards is the sushi; more often than not, it is a bit dry and doesn't taste very fresh.

Where do I begin? They went above and beyond. Everyone was great as always, the food was perfectly hot, tasty and cooked to perfection. We went because they are always great and always clean and somehow they did better. Great value and very enjoyable. I was impressed.

Friendly staff, excellent service and our waitress Alice was the best! A little different with safety protocols but it was not busy and staff were very helpful

It was nice to be able to pick what you wanted to eat, however It was Saturday and no crab legs or lobster. The food was good and they replenished it often. Menu seemed like it was the same as any other days but never checked if we were charged a weekend fee.

First time back since re-opening and everything was great! The service was amazing from calling and booking our reservation to our waitress. Good safety measures in place as well! Will come back:)

We arrived for our 1130 lunch reservation, everyone was very pleasant and genuinely seemed happy to be there working. Not all of the dishes were out at the stations, because they had just opened, when they did bring the food it was super hot and fresh! They have sanitizer and food handling gloves at the entrance to each pair of dining rooms. You are encouraged to wear a/pair of gloves to handle the food scoops/tongs. They frequently swap out the serving utensils as well. We all (family of 6, including 4 kids ranging 2-13 yrs) really enjoyed our meal.

Sadly "corporate" sweet and sour sauce for many dishes now tastes more of ketchup than anything else. One taste I have never associated with Chinese food (nor do I wish too) is ketchup.

Love this Mandarin. Service is excellent. Over the last two years this became my choice for take out. Service is fast and staff is very pleasant. Recommended for sure.

Good prices and value but they forgot some of my ordered items other than that I was happy with their pickup service

This is a great place to go for Chinese buffet. They have a great staff, and service, the selection of items is great and always fresh and full. I have never been disappointed when we have stopped to eat here on our drive home or to meet up with family. Super nice people and always happy.

Could not guarantee an ingredient I am allergic to would not be in the take-out food. Spoke to the manager who suggested I do not order from them. I'm taking his advice and never ordering again. If you have allergies, DO NOT EAT HERE.
PS: I had been a customer for over 20 years and it was not a problem before. This location is getting worse every year.

During the special covid times, Mandarin Pickering staff go above and beyond to ensure the safety and health of its guests. Food is as always very delicious and small portions are just wonderful for us to try a variety of different things (a signature at Mandarin). Alfred is attentive, wonderful and amazing. We are regulars at Mandarin these days and look forward to coming back again.

So nice a place! Clean and comfortable, food are delicious, not expensive and a lots of kind to choose. Their service is amazing! Highly recommended.

Love it! Definitely coming back. Amazing service! Very genuine. Instead of buffet you order what you like (everything is $6 or less) which is way smarter! No food waste and whatever you order and do not finish you can bring home! Smarter style I hope when everything is open again they continue doing this I personally feel like it’s a better option! Or half buffet half this way.

I celebrated my graduation earlier this evening in this excellent restaurant.happy to tell that we had a delightful evening and the restaurant was definitely the reason for that successful celebration. The waiters collaborated in a pleasant style, the cuisine was very good and my guests were very happy. We shall definitely return for more celebrations. Thank you very much.

Not quite as good as they used to be. When we went the shrimp sucked, and there were no crab legs. Still, a good variety of Chinese and North American Cuisine.

Food are great but their sister restaurant Wok of Fame is even greater considering the price you pay and ambience. Will consider going back if they bring back crab legs, oysters, other seafood they use to provide their customers.

Place is nice but definitely need the crab legs back. When we asked an employee why they didn't serve Crab legs on Christmas they responded by saying because of minimum wage they stopped

Terrible, the waiter dropped a bunch of plates on me, and food was all over me, said he was sorry and said he would bring me a coffee and never did, won't go there again

Turned away a party of 10, Because they were closing at 3PM, and they seemed surprised we wouldn't want to power-down a buffet in under 22 minutes.

The servers are always so nice and the options are good. Dessert bar is amazing along with the soups and bread.

Always busy but once seated, food is fresh, hot and tasty. A wide variety of choices. Great for a family outing. Be warned, so much to choose from, you may do desert then your main and vice versa.

I called the Mandarin in Pickering one week before my husbands birthday, Dec. 7th. I asked them about birthdays. They told me to go to the web and add them. They in turn sent me a coupon to bring in for him to have a free dinner for his special day. I went with my daughter also, so 3 of us. When I seen the coupon it said with 3 paying adults. Wow, she never told me that on the phone. I mentioned it to the waiter and he said that's the way it is. Had I known, I would have went elsewhere. They sure mislead the public. We stayed as we were all hungry and it was my husbands birthday, he was looking forward to it. Never again will I go to the Mandarin. Not to mention it was very expensive. All the desserts are frozen and the food was very bland! One more thing. 1 waitress walks over and sings Happy Birthday with a dessert from the bar.so sad!

Service and food are very good. Suitable for birthdays and other family gathering or corporation party.

2nd times to go. Many food options and service is good. Staffs Christmas lunch is there, all of us are really enjoyed. Holidays food is more than usual and the price is higher also

Terrible staff. We booked so we could celebrate my dad's birthday and they made us wait 30 minutes later even though we came at the time we booked. It was so long that we were so hungry we forgot what we were even celebrating anymore. We came with empty stomachs because it's an all you can eat buffet. We all were just too hungry and at the end my dad remembers it's his birthday and that he has his ID on him, so his meal could be free. Turns out the staff we told it to was not the nicest. He lectured all of us, the whole family, on my dad's birthday on how we should have told him beforehand. For 5 minutes. We told them over the phone, but were so hungry we forgot to mention it during. The guy started ranting on about how now he has to change the bill and how big of a hassle it was for him. And just kept lecturing us and instead of having a good birthday, my dad's day was just ruined.

Good food, lots of choice, small or large meal choice variety. Pleasant staff, helpful and prompt. I liked the warm towels before and after eating.

We celebrated a birthday at this location and Ling was an amazing hostess. She went above and beyond to make the evening a special and memorable one. A special thank you to Ling!

It has been a while since I visited this location. The atmosphere was inviting, particularly during the holiday season. The staff and services, was what is expected from Mandarin, good and attentive. Some locations vary in choices of food, this one is in the higher tier and patrons will benefit from this. Come hungry, come often.

Although the wait stuff did seem a little annoyed that we didnt get the buffet
Thats why three stars instead of four
Hospitality goes a long way.if you dont like people coming for ala carte simply say no ala carte

The food is pretty good for a buffet and the service is really good. The restaurant is clean and the aesthetic is really amazing.
