Amazing Vet and team! They got us in quickly when my usual vet was unable too! Very Compassionate, and they took the time to educate what the diagnosis was for my cat. Excellent customer service! Thank you all!
Everyone that works at Manitou Animal Hospital is amazing! Brought my cat here in the spring as he was experiencing a life threatening urinary obstruction. All of the vets, vet techs, front desk staff were very informative around what was going to happen and about his recovery. My cat had to stay at the vet for about 5 days and staff provided updates daily via phone. I could tell he was being well looked after. Even when discharged we had to bring him back in the vet a couple times and I was always given an appointment very quick. The cost for UO care can be very costly and the amount that Manitou charged was a flat rate which was extremely reasonable. Henry is now doing great health wise and I have everyone at Manitou to thank!
Our vet and team are amazing.they answered every question we had and understood any worry.we had our pup fixed and they updated us during the day and even help put her recovery onsie on.the vet is beyond kind and tries very heard to make both our pup and us feel comfortable.
We have been going here for over 10 years and they truly care about our pets. They are all very friendly and help as much as possible. They have laughed with us and cried with us, during good and bad times, it's like a family.
I have been with Manitou Animal Hospital for over 17 years with three different dogs and two cats. They are always professional and really do care for your pet. Would not go to any other vet.
I adopted a cat recently and had something come up with her, I had to find a vet quickly and called here after looking at the reviews. They were able to see me the next day which was great! I found the ladies at the desk were very friendly and helpful, as was the vet tech. Doctor Grinberg was thorough with his exam and took the time to explain the issues and all the options available to me. Overall a stressful time was made easier on me.
All the staff are very caring. We have been going to this clinic for over 20 years. I would recommend the Manitou Animal Hospital to all my friends! Janet and Glenn.
Friendly staff who don't restrict the purchase of their supplies to only their clientele. There are both cat and dog foods which treat a variety of health conditions available. Including the Digestive Care one I always buy for my cats. Both in the 4lbs and 8lbs bags! Plus the prices for both sizes are much cheaper than the other vets I've been to! Will definitely be going back.
I have edited my review has I am very disappointed at the level of care I have received. My daughter's kitten had ingested a foreign object in which no ultrasound was done, the vet actually told my daughter you can't tell anyways and gave her a shot for nausea. Seven days after Manitou Hospital visit our cat was rushed to emergency vet hospital on Maple Grove. They did the ultrasound and indeed it was still there (multiple items after she showed it in her stool at Manitou - some had passed). Our beloved pet stopped eating, drinking, standing and basically at death's door. 24 Animal Hospital in Cambridge did the surgery that day after all the blood work, ultrasound and tests had been done. All because Manitou Animal Hospital didn't want to take the time and do an extra step to get an ultrasound done to confirm 7 days prior. I had tried to email the Manitou clinic manager, I tried to discuss what happened. I paid money for an appointment that Manitou did nothing for. After have major surgery at 24 Hour Animal Hospital - I wanted to do appeal to the Ontario Board of Veterinarians over what happened. Maki could have died because of their neglect and unwillingness to do an ultrasound - actually put in the effort in and do the procedure. The technician at 24 Hour Animal Hospital on Maple Grove in Cambridge said the ultrasound 100% should have been done without question and requested that day. She couldn't believe it was never done. We are highly disappointed and dissatisfied with Manitou Animal Hospital. We were scared to trust any other vet after this. I once held them in high esteem. I am sad because I have been with them for 8 years. This was not the first time we had been dismissed over a life threatening health issue - so far as I had to bring my service dog in to 24 hour Animal Hospital and then get a referral to OVC Hospital in Guelph. One time - I can see something happening and sliding we are human. Twice something happening - now that is just neglectful. Beware. They may be cheaper but their priorities aren't in your pet's best interest (FYI cost was covered through Trupanion) so there was no issue with an ultrasound being done at any point in time for Maki). Thank you.
It was my first time at Manitou Hospital. The staff was very friendly and professional. The Vet was very knowledgeable and very eager to help my dog She was awesome!
I absolutely love these people! You can tell their not about the money. They are in it to help pets and the owners! They have always gone above and beyond for myself and my friends and family! Thanks Manitou!
We've been taking our 4 legged kids to Manitou animal hospital for several years. They've always been gentle with our animals and showed them the respect and dignity that they would show their own. I highly recommend Manitou animal hospital to anyone looking for a veterinary hospital. They are kind and care about their patients.
They are very beautiful people, very professional and compassionate. The girl behind the counter, the young assistant and the vet. I on the other hand was not. I was a mess. I had to have my mum's cat Sparkles put to sleep and watching the life drain from her little eyes was something I've never had to experience before. I did not react well to that and I apologize. If you are ever in a situation like I was then the people at the Manitou vet.are the exact people you want to have around you. Thank you guys so much.
Always have trust in everyone here. When I bring my furbaby in I know she is in good hands and everyone is always so friendly and pleasant to deal with.
I have taken my pets to Manitou Animal Hospital for over 20 years. I have always been happy with the care and treatment both my pets and I have received. My most recent adopted cat has an immune compromising disease, and I have been most impressed with the communication and support I have gotten as we have cared for the up and down health of this sweet boy. No hesitation to recommend them to anyone.
Terrible vet, and very rude staff. You will never get personal with them as they change staff often. They are always behind schedule. I brought my dogs in for a biopsy and instead of calling me to cancel the appointment (because they were behind) they canceled it when I arrived. They told me it was canceled because I was late but when I showed them the confirmation email then they said they just didn't have the time.
Being a pawrent manitou hospital helps you a lot. My boy just had his surgery to get neutered. And the service over here was just perfect for him. They make sure that you and your pup gets everything you need. They helps you pre and post surgery questions very patiently.
Would definitely recommend to anyone for there furry babies
The staff at Manitou Animal Hospital are so kind and compassionate. They really care about their clients…both two legged and four legged. I am so happy with their service.
I have been with manitou vets for quite a while. This past weekend i lost my fur baby cruz and the staff at manitou have been nothing but compassionate, kind, and caring. When my lil man was with us, the staff here were always so kind, gentle and loving. These people that work there know what they are doing, and are able to handle all the hard parts of pet companionship. I would be so lost without them.
I have been coming here since 2005 with both brand-new kittens and a senior cat (who had to be put down after inoperable cancer spread). Always excellent care and surgery for serious illness, compassionate when I euthanized my dying cat including giving me a memorial paw print I still treasure and very understanding, kind staff, who are always there to answer all my questions. (Also affordable, no pressure, fair prices). I highly recommend Manitou Animal Hospital for any pet parent who wants to keep their furry family member healthy and happy.
I've been bringing my fur babies to Manitou Animal Hospital for many years. Peter and his vets and vet techs are the most knowledgeable, friendly, caring, and compassionate people I've had the pleasure to deal with. I couldn't and wouldn't deal with any other vets. They are the best in Waterloo Region and beyond. Thank you so much!
This has been the vet for our fur babies since we moved to kitchener almost 7 years ago.any they are amazing. Very knowledgeable and kind towards the animals! They work hard and they are very clearly passionate about the patients they treat. They are also very awesome at keeping the owners up to date on everything with the animal and it doesn't stop after the main visit as they will usually to a check up call a day or so later to ensure that you pet is happy and healthy!
Worry some, I have been going to this vet for several years but have noticed a steady decline in the quality of service I’ve received. Over the past 6 months, I’ve had billing issues with this business as well as a lack of trust with the vets. I used to get the feeling there was care here but my concerns have begun to outweigh the pros. Although their examinations begin somewhat cheaper I would recommend finding another trusted vet.
Easily the best Vet around. They really do care about the animal and the prices for their services are great. We take our German Shepherd here and I really could not recommend this vet more.
Dr. Christine was wonderful. I took my little boy in on Monday. He is a very scared rescued breeding dog and she was so gentle with him. I then took my independent diva Lulu in and I give them all credit. She is a spicy, feisty, uncooperative darling but as usual they had their hands full. Kudos to everyone working at Manitou.
These people care about your pets! We have been with them through two dogs over 20 years, and have always felt they prioritize care. Every staff member seems to have a passion and love of animals. Our first dog needed extensive care and constant meds for her condition - but with Manitou she lived over 14 years, happily. Our current beastie is in good health and is treated like family every time she walks in.
The staff is amazing and so kind, the vets comments were very thorough and you can tell that he truly cares about the pets he sees. Their Covid policies are superb! Lots of care going into ensuring everyone involved is safe. I’m so happy to have found this place:)
