One of the worst places for picnic, small beach, limited seating furniture, dirty water, crowded.

It is not bad maybe cuz I have seen better ones - however it is ok for first time campers good for RVs and trailers
I would give it 5/10 not much privacy between the sites

Park is good, but, ants are crazy, even in rain boots they get you. Campsite all are flooding when it's raining, in rest was amazing time

Should implement a picnic table control near the water. Families of 4 have a collection of 6 tables to put one bag ontop per table, no tables left for others who come.

Beautiful beach area on Lake Simcoe. Tons of space for nice family fun. Water is great. $18 per vehicle for the day and I think there are also trails and other things to do in the surrounding area.

It was such a lovely beach back then. Now it's over crowded, the water is green and not clear as before and the horse flies almost killed us. The mosquitos? And are no joke there. The bee's have no respect for ones person space and I forgot to mention I went there yesterday August 27,2022 & there's a celrazy amount of seagulls started to show up now because people are feeding them

It's a sandy beach in north of Simco lake.
Very nice place to sweam in a pure water.
Entrance is about $18, but it worth it.

Good, but many people at the beach The campsites were mostly covered in pine trees The water was very shallow. You can about 3-5m deep. It is a good campsite with about 115 Campsites.

Washrooms are not maintain clean.
Overall small beach but %90 sand.
Water is clean.
Barbecue is allowed.
$18 per vehicle is reasonable price contrary to other similar beaches that charges $15 per person like peninsula resort just to use beach for a day.

Loved this park! Campsites are large, but not much privacy. The beach was wonderful and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Great place for family camping. Quiet at night and everyone is very friendly. The beach isn't busy but very clean. Kids will love the little fishes in the water.

We went there camping on a weekend and it's the most amazing place I've ever been! The park staff and security is always there if you need help. The beach is serene and peaceful, the views and trails are wonderful too. We did stargazing at Night and it's the best part of our trip. We'd definitely go there every summer.it was definitely quality time with our friends!

I came to this beach after almost 25 years. Its a great beach; clean water, sand and a bit of grassy area. There were plenty of shade for trees. It is a small beach.
Lots of picnic tables. Each tree had pike 3 picnic tables, we had almost 5!

We came at 9.30 and people were already there but it was a good time to get space for a table.

If you're planning to go, PLEASE BUY A DAILY VEHICLE PERMIT ahead of time or else you will probably not get in. They were declining cars at 9 am, that didn't pre book. Entrance is $18.

There are a couple of volleyball nets and lots of sandy space to do other things. Washrooms were not clean. I didn't expect any better tho for a long weekend. Some of the doors don't have handles to hang your bag while u change. And they were line ups most of the time to use the bathroom.

Overall it was a great beach, it's a smaller beach.

Almost got hit by a car at the gate… loudest park I’ve ever been to, firewood is more damp than the greenery after a fresh rain. If it wasn’t too dark to pack up and head out I wouldn’t even stay one night! 0/10 would not recommend

I went this park with family and friends. We were 6 adults and 3 infants. I thought we can not take our kids inside water but to my surprise the level of water was not that high and kids enjoy water a lot. Barbecues, water waves, old Hindi songs and perfect weather made this short trip a long lasting memories.

Nice sandy beach with washrooms at walking distance. Washrooms get dirty on busy days but they are cleaned at regular intervals. Campgrounds are mostly open grounds. Suggest camping to enjoy the beach without rushing to find parking spot or beach space.

Mara is a lovely park that isn't too far away from the GTA. The site we had was private, flat and had shade. The beach has beautiful soft sand and you can walk out into the water for quite a distance without going too deep. Lots of fun.

The check-in was easy and fast. Sites are big and clean but no privacy. Since it was windy and rainy, the beach was deserted but the Canada geese and seagulls made it their preferred resting and pooping spot.

Mid Aug 2022 weekend. It still has space for day users from afar while McRae and Bass lake denying entry. The riverside trail is short. Beach is not big. Hustle and bustle on both sand, water, lawn, shade under tree. Some enjoy their faithful music loud while be nuisance to others.

The beach here is great. Sandy bottom, clean and shallow water. The water temperatures are generally tolerable and not that chilly. If compared to tobermory water temperature then the waters here is much less cold than the one over there. The best part is that the water is shallow even much further from the shore which makes it a much safer beach for kids to play in. Volleyball nets is something that I've seen here. There is a small playground as well with swings etc all within the same beach area.

Just returned from a two day camping here. Beach is excellent, little cold water the day we went on beach but manageable. More sunny the next day. Lot of mosquitoes in the camping area, beware of them. You can't escape their bites.

Has got an amazing beach. Have been there 3 times and this place has never disappointed. The beach is shallow, water is clean and is very safe for families with kids. This place attracts crowd but I guess the authorities caps the number of people that can come on a given day. I always went early to grab a nice shaded spot and then the experience is wonderful.

We love Mara provincial park Beach after visiting many Kale side beaches in Ontario for the past 10 years. The kids love Mara for its sand. Shallow and cleanish water. Day visits are awesome.

This week we went camping at mara. Our camping experience was not the same. The campsite was close to the station and not too far from the day area. The campsite was. Clean but the tables were filthy with moss. So far so. Good.

We pitch our tents and fell the tones of mosquitos. Repellant was on but we managed to get bitten all. Over. Then. Come evening, a raccoon came by. And then 5 or 6 raccoon babies visited us throughout the. Night even though we did not leave any food crumbs.

Then around 11pm people started loud chatter and scre
aning until 3 am. There was. No park. Enforcement after 7 pm.

Day visit gets a 10 star rating feom us but camping gets 1 star due to mosquitos raccoons and uncivilized campers

Mara Provincial Park is a provincial park in Ramara, Ontario, Canada. It is situated on the northern shore of Lake Simcoe, and provides camping, boating, swimming and other recreational activities.

Hi folks, before heading to this park register your vehicle In Ontarioparks.ca and get the DVP (Daily Vehicle Permit). It costs CAD $18/ day. Entry will be denied if the parking is full.
Excellent view, lots of picnic tables, restrooms are maintained and open for the seasons, I felt the people crowd is less when compare to other beaches in Ontario.
