Well all the food that ordered for take out was not what I requested. Was soooo disappointed. First time here and it is definitely going to be the last time here.
I left my bag in the store a month ago thinking it was lost. The owner of the shop is very kind and has been keeping it for me. The money and items in it are well kept. The store manager also called my family and asked me to go back to the store to pick it up. The owner is really kind and awesome!
I’ve come here a couple of times and the staff can be a hit or a miss. There are a couple of tables available for you to dine in but definitely don’t recommend for large groups. Decided to try the chicken club sandwich and it was delicious! I would have preferred some more chicken in the sandwich but overall very tasty and different from traditional club sandwiches. The HK style milk tea is one of the best I’ve ever tasted. Also decided to get the 1L bottle of milk tea and it was wayyy too sweet.
I went here a couple of times and man this place does give you good memories growing up. Their authentic Hong Kong Milk tea is delicious which packs alot of flavour from the brewing and condense milk they use. Their pineapple buns are my favourite, I recommend checking them out with their delicious breakfast menu in the morning!
Most outstanding was their HK milk tea but their other food is okay. It gets busy so obviously service will be not as quick as you would expect but they are good at keeping up. Perhaps they should look into servicing their dine in area to encourage more patrons to dine in otherwise, take out may be a better option
Great place for milk tea hot or cold and lemon tea hot or cold. The food offerings are also quite good I can never resist getting some Curry Beef balls and the satay beef. My wife loves the pineapple bun highly recommend.
Had great experiences in the past. It's been at least a couple of years since. I'd returned to a disappointing experience. Pineapple bun and toast were so-so. HK coffee was alright.
It used to enjoy their milk tea and buy tea leaf here. But our milk tea was not filtered well today and a lot of tea leaf at the bottom of the cup. And the egg and beef sandwich tasted really bad.
Made purchase of 100$ and female at counter try to charge 0.25 cents on debit. There was no warning of any minimum purchase required. The service was awful and tea was average. Are you so greedy to charge 0.25 cents on transaction and lose a customer. Tracy if that’s even your real name you use to answer these reviews. Update the manager answers this review tells me the 0.25 cent fee is set to every debit purchase. When I saw with own eyes employee entering 0.25. Not true/dishonest. If you go make sure you verify your debit purchases both employee and manager are dishonest.
The young male staff didn't know what combo I was talking about when I read the number to him from the menu and proceeded to give me bad attitude and cut eye, like the world did him wrong. C'mon if you want returning customers atleast pretend to be nice. He gave me the sandwich with two fingers holding it and more cut eye. I'm not coming back.
If i can get this 0 star, i will. The service is terrible. They put my order wrong and insisted that they are right. Seriously? I dont even have any appetite to capture what i order at that time. They literally didnt take any order right if you order it in english.
The quality of food and beverage has worsened over the years. Their online menu doesn't have their afternoon tea menu, which is super annoying. The service is definitely horrible, so accompanied with below average food, Marathon is no longer worthwhile returning to.
Their satay beef pineapple bun is my go to! A little sweet crispiness plus satay tender beef is a great combo. Really enjoyed their hot HK milk tea, has a strong tea flavour which is perfect for my taste. Brunch or breakfast is so convenient.
Heard about this place from a friend and it did not disappoint. Looks like a hole-in-the-wall (I think this added to their charm) and their HK Milk Tea is AMAZING. I instantly wished my cup was bigger. I gave my sister a sip and she wanted more. The Pineapple bun with butter was good - I'm excited to try it in a sandwich. I will definitely be back.
Great place for Milk Tea and other treats at reasonable prices. They just opened a few tables for dine in as well. Nice to get closer to hear to normal.
Got the breakfast for less than $10 and it's a reasonable amount of food that you get
Still has your typical neighborhood coffee shop feel, even after the renovation. The award winning milk tea is not as strong as what I used to get from the Richmond Hill store, but don't get me wrong - it's still very good. Getting too pricey to stomach now - $4.80 for an iced one!? I enjoy the drink, but why am I paying a premium price for an ordinary drink, you know what I mean?
We tried this time: Satay beef vermicelli (not shown) with egg sandwich and French toast for afternoon tea. Drink included. As you can see in photo French toast size is small and only 1 piece but taste good. Satay beef sauce is good too, sorry no pic Overall the taste of its food has improved.
First time trying HK style pineapple bun and ice milk tea. There is no bakery in comparison to the pineapple bun served here. Sooooo good and fresh. Milk tea was also very smooth. 5 stars!
They have the best HK milk tea and it’s always consistent. However my experience this morning was not the greatest …. My cashier was a bit slow understanding me so she charged me for just a pineapple bun when I told her in the beginning already pineapple bun toasted with butter. Not a big deal, just wish her attitude was a bit nicer when fixing the problem instead of blaming me for not saying the right order.
Will still come back for the good food and drinks.
Their famous Hong Kong Milk Tea tasted smooth and milky. I ordered it with less sugar and the staff followed my order. I also got their Satay Beef Vermicelli and Scrambled Egg Sandwich. Both were yummy. The satay beef was flavorful with a little kick and great meaty texture.
We ordered an in-store pickup. The portion was so large that none of us was able to finish it. I would suggest 3 people order 2 dishes. I wish they had some side veggies so I gave a 4 star.
I really like the spacing of the café, as it has indoor parking. I also very much enjoy the milk tea and the facemask stand by the indoor parking. This makes it very convenient for when I want to drive in and buy a mask.
The milk tea used to be great here. The tea was very fragrant even in after taste. Tea was rich and blended really well with the smooth creamy taste of evaporated milk. However those days are passed long time ago. Since thee owners are no longer in store to check quality assurance, the milk tea is watered down sometimes, lost it's fragrant taste and not rich and strong in taste. This used to be my favorite milk tea so it's quite disappointing and sad to see how low the quality of the milk tea fell.
Milk tea is decent, but everything is overpriced. Takes too long to get food out. Poor attitude and customer service from servers. Tables are dirty and not cleaned. Seating is uncomfortable.
I like the breakfast and the pineapple bun.especially the pineapple bun with ham and egg inside.this is quite a popular Hong kong-style Tea Cafe. The tea is very tasty and smooth.it is good for quick bite.there's Wi-Fi, parking is easy, and the breakfast menu is pretty good with a lot of variety of set breakfast. I recommend this place if you happen to be in the neighbourhood.
I love the Satay Beef vermicelli noodle soup. Pineapple bun is large and delicious. Don't forget the Hong Kong Milk tea. It's a must when you go there.
A classic HK cafe. Their milk tea is world famous here and you'll know why! So smooth and none of that harsh after taste that you get at other places. Highly recommend the pineapple bun with the slab of butter inbetween. You can't get more classic than that
Other than the waitress being impatient with the order I got no complains. Pineapple bun w butter is a must try! And satay instant noodle is next level ️
Marathon Donuts and Coffee has been around for ages and their milk tea and friendly atmosphere never grows old. Award winning milk tea year and year again.
Waited 30mins for a Siu Mai which is oversteemed. That old lady forgot to take it out. If i never ask about my order, i guess i never get my Siu Mai. She didnt even say a Sorry for this super late dish.
