i will never go back and i will tell everyone i have referred there what has happen also just an fyi if you want students cutting your hair contact the big place in square one better job and free.this is not the 1st issue with Marca last year i was not asked if wanted blow dry and did not know was not included and was taken aback when charged extra fixed income or not let client know

I just got my hair done by a girl named Jesse and WOW would be an understatement. She is so talented! I am so glad I came to this place:)

Sarah is amazing and i have been here multiple times, thanks to her. She has provided great advice for my skin care. I just come back due to her. Excellent customer service.

I have had great experience here. Especially as a blonde. The teachers are great and insure the student is instructed and able to do the task at hand. I know that's something people probably are concerned about.

I had the pleasure of getting a haircut from Russell recently. He did a phenomenal job! Russell was very polite and was also very knowledgeable when it came to deciding a hairstyle and thoroughly discussed some possible options with me. I loved my haircut and my overall experience at Marca college thanks to Russell.

Got a wash and cut done by Nikki. Cab job, well done. It was her first hair cut and she did such a brilliant job, i think it was far better than an experienced stylist. Kudos, onwards and upwards for Nikki. Big thanks to Simmy for accomodating my request at the last minute.

If you go to Marca College and need a haircut, ask for Russell! He knows how to work with all types and textures of hair and has years of experience behind him.

His communication skills are excellent and will work with you to get exactly what you want out of your hair. I got a big trim (very long hair) and he sectioned my hair to perfection as everything came out evenly and at my desired shoulder length. I got a taper fade as well and it was sharp and clean.

I highly recommend Russell if you need a haircut. 11/10 experience! Huge thank you to Russell and the welcoming Marca College staff.

I’ve been coming to this location for several years and it is always a fantastic experience! Everyone is so kind and thoughtful. Specifically today, I had such a wonderful experience at Marca College with Natasha as she was amazing and extremely attentive!

I can’t rate the salon services, as my appointment was cancelled less than 2 hours prior to its start. Someone left me a voicemail saying it was cancelled and I could call to reschedule or do so online. My multiple calls went unanswered and there were no available bookings online that fit my schedule prior to an event I have next weekend. I understand not all staff/students may show up each day but there should be a contingency so clients aren’t left in the lurch. At the very least, staff should work with clients to find an adequate alternative rather than just leaving dismissive voicemails.

A very professional environment where I am treated with patience and kindness from amazing instructors like Ashley who seems to be everywhere at once, working tirelessly to instruct her students on how to make each visit a wonderful experience. Merci!

Came to this location for the first time and had one of the best experiences. Both Natasha and Priya were so helpful, knowledgable, have such amazing personalities and the way they treated me, I already know they will excel in their careers! Will definitely go back to rebook with them!

Today was my first experience at the salon for a hair color session and was absolutely blown away by the great service from Emma, Kaila and Yasmine as well as all the management who continually checked in on the process by Emma. They were kind, attentive and made sure to offer great suggestions as it was a complicated purple to pink fade. It came out amazing and was an amazing value so I highly recommend coming to Marca Dixie.

I had the most wonderful experience with Sandro. From the second I sat in his chair I realized that he had an unbelievable talent. He transformed my hair from a boring and tired color, to a beautiful balayage with layers full of movement. It was not a short process and he was patient and kind throughout the process. I will be following him as he progresses in his career!

Hafize was very helpful in explaining to my daughter how to properly maintain and wash her hair. She did an excellent job in cutting and styling as well. My daughter and I were very happy with the service.

Cassandra did my hair today! She helped me retouch my blonde highlights, they were kinda looking gross and she helped me a lot.she took her time and was very patient, but I loved the end result thank you

I went in requesting a balayage and although they couldn’t do it as light as I wanted (my base colour was much too dark), the two students proceeded to lighten my hair using a different technique instructed by the teacher. They left me with a harsh line around my head, absolutely no blending. The teacher was quite rude after the fact when I told her how horrible it looked and proceeded to dye over it with a darker shade. It looks horrible and after all was said and done they still made me pay over $80 for the service. I did not expect blonde hair off the hop, but I expected some gradient technique and ended up with hair that looked worse than when I walked in. Despite this awful experience lasting three long hours, the students were rushing and rough at times when working through my hair. I have not been in a salon in years and I understand that trusting students to do my hair could come with some error, I was not anticipating such an unpleasant experience - terrible customer service from students AND the teacher, and a horribly overpriced dye job to boot. I didn’t take any pictures of it styled as I had to book an immediate next day appointment elsewhere to fix my hair before starting at my new job. I did attach what it looked like before I went to my appointment the next day.

Zeyna did a great job with washing, blow drying, using the steam pod and cutting my hair today. I would definitely recommend)

I have thick frizzy wavy hair that’s coarse and doesn’t hold with any curling iron. Cassandra was patient and kept styling it to my liking and used a heat protectant spray so it wouldn’t smell burnt (smelled wonderful at the end) and even explained different products to use. She is a saint and incredibly patient too.

I was at Marca College Mississauga on Black Friday, Nov 26. I was very happy with my stylist, Jada. She was very friendly, professional and talented. She did a fabulous job with the hair services I received. My appointment was supposed to be 2 hours, but ended up being almost 4 hours. I added another hair service at the last minute. She patiently took her time and did not rush me at all, even though her lunch was over an hour past schedule, and her colleague was waiting for her. She put my needs ahead of her own, and I was very thankful for her. I hope I can get her to do my hair again next time I am there.

Got my hair colored and styled by Denisa and she did an excellent job. She picked the perfect color for me and i have received so many compliments everywhere i go. Also the styling was beautiful. Definitely will be coming back. I left the salon feeling relaxed and beautiful.

Eman did my daughter's hair. She did peekaboo highlights and gave her a cut and blow dry. She was amazing and professional. Thank you Eman for your hard work.

Eman was wonderful, and so sweet and slayed my hair. Such a great environment with individuals willing to share their knowledge and experience with one another and learn different hair textures like mine. I had my hair cut by Denisa, an aromatherapy massage by Vanessa and a facial by Iliana. The ladies did a fantastic job! Everyone at Marca College was super friendly, my hair looks healthy again, the massage was one of the best I have had and my skin feels heavenly. Would definitely recommend coming here! Be aware that they do not have a tipping system so if you'd like to tip, have some cash handy. I wish I had known – they all would've deserved one!:)

I did a hair balayage from mar a college by Denisa, she did an incredible job I highly recommend her for her job! I even appreciate Natalia for lending a helping hand they both were soo amazing & made my day!

The student had a great speech and excellent marketing skills. Her work however was awful. I see dead skin all over my feet, polished cuticles and dirt under my nails that looks bigger now that nails are polished.
To be honest I don’t blame student who came to learn something. I blame the school that passes students like this. What kind of school teaches students how to do great presentation and not skills that student came to learn at first place?

I have to admit, I'm a tough customer. Went and saw Diana Leon at Marca College and couldn't be happier.  If you love the idea of having your hair washed, staring into those beautiful brown eyes before and after the precision cut, with optional massage then consider a visit. I was at Marca College for a haircut today, I was greeted by Pedram Mazaheri (Pedro), I was not sure what style I would like for my haircut, Pedro suggested a medium fade, and it turn out to be a very good idea.the haircut were very impressive, it did not take too long considering Pedro is a student at Marca College, and the eork was done professionally, especially with instructor Daniel final touch to the detail, at the end of haircut, Pedro suggested a hair wash, that is extra bonus to the entire session. I must say that Marca College is a very well organized school and provided the student with a very detail training program.thank you

I was seen by Avneet. He was very customer oriented and professional. He understood exactly what type of style I wanted, and took his time. He was very careful and meticulous.

I really liked how he trimmed and styled my hair. I will definitely return.

The location is in Mississauga in a large shopping plaza, with plenty of free parking. And the college is very clean with a very professional look.

I been getting a zero fade and beard haircut by the Barber Mina for like almost a year, he’s really professional barber and friendly. I highly recommend to go and try him.

I just got my hair washed, cut and blowdried today and had the pleasure of having Maryam as my hairdresser. She was so kind, took her time and did an incredible job! I asked for a couple inches to get taken off and some long layers, and she did exactly that. I will absolutely be going back, especially for that wonderful massage while shampooing my hair!

I had an excellent hair service yesterday with Pedram Mazaheri (Pedro) at Merca College.he started the work by washing my hair and fading followed by an skill full haircut under supervision of Daniel his hair stylist teacher whom did a nice finish on hair cut.then Pedro washed my hair again also with a good smelling conditioner.and did a hair design at the end for me. I'm so happy about the service and recommend Pedro and his master Daniel to anybody whose seeking hair services. GOOD JOB!

They have people in the front desk who can't even speak proper English. I callled yesterday to confirm the time of my appointment. The person on the phone told me it's at 2 pm. Then the next day when I arrived at 1.40 pm, they were saying the appointment is at 3 pm!

Service - I went in for a haircut; Avneet spoke to me in detail and made me understand in regards to how he's going to go about it. He had not just put all his energy and care into his service, but also made sure that I was comfortable during my time at Marca.

Instructor - Avneet was supervised and helped out by his instructor, named Leslie, an amazing and a very polite woman. She was thoroughly involved with her team. Being a spectator to her teaching skills, I was convinced that she was teaching and preparing her student to a path to success. Thank you Leslie.

Teamwork - I witnessed that, Avneet has maintained such a great relationship with his team that, Daniela, who was busy with her work, came forward to sweep the floor for Avneet to make his job easier, so that he could concentrate with full attention towards his job! Another young lad, came forward to assist Avneet. Avneet's humble behaviour has certainly gained the trust of his colleagues.

I understand it’s teaching school, but that’s definitely not a good try to play whith heat on ur hair she tried so many times to make a curly I just feel bad for my hair getting burned I always take so goood care now I need to star over again I feel my hair is thinner weaker, way too much heat for an hr!

I had a great haircut with Pedram Mazaheri (Pedro) at Marca college yesterday and the whole experience was really pleasant. I asked Pedro for a fade and he took the time to clearly explain the different styles which I had no idea about to help me choose my preference according to my liking. All the staff were super friendly and professional and I felt like I’m hanging out with a bunch of my friends with a bonus of getting a fade at the same time:)

Treshawna was amazing. She is a very good professional. I had different tons of blonde in my hair, between yellows, browns and oranges before making my appointment at Marca College. She and her tutor perfectly covered what I wanted and made the tone even as I had requested. The results, I got a more natural looking ashy and I love it:)

I normally don't write reviews but after reading some of the negative comments I thought I would take this opportunity to write from a student's perspective.

I joined Marca College with 0 hair experience. After a mixed bag of practical and theory, I can confidentially say the education I am receiving is a stepping stone to a world of life long learning! As in most things, what is learned is up to the learner! Personally, I maximized the return on my investment by "putting my nose to ground" so to speak; absorbing the lessons, engaging in class and one-on-one's with my teachers.

To hear anyone call themselves a "guinea pig" is disheartening and I can say with full confidence any staff member or student at my school would feel the same way! Whether front desk, educator, director, client or student, I have always felt as part of a team at Marca College and I can say as one of the insiders, we are all doing our best to make you look your best and at fraction of the cost!

I went to Maria because my hairdresser is abroad, they are in the neighborhood, and the reviews were good. Well, this one won't be. The hair die was ok, but the haircut was the worst I've ever had. The trainee tried it but couldn't manage and the teacher came to help just to make the matter worse. I wouldn't make a big deal, it was to be expected in a training college but they didn't have any hygiene rules followed - dirty and broken combs, wet towels, cold water for hair wash, dirty floors. On top of it, they charged me more, adding some double on supplies or other, not clearly explained why. So think twice before you book your appointment.

Lost my long waist length hair to one of the students here today. I asked for long layers and despite showing her a picture she cut off all my hair and I’m left with shoulder length hair that don’t compliment me at all. I hate her for ruining my hair. Should have never gone to this place.

As much as i dont want to write a critical review, as ive been going to Marca for years and know how to manage expectations of the results, i do think/hope the oversight of the students could improve. A large portion of time is spent waiting for an instructor by students or getting clarification on what should be done and how. In previous years, the instructor used to demonstrate before letting the student proceed, however it has since been quick and verbal and often misunderstood. Things like how long to leave bleach on and explaining why something is done a certain way would prevent students from just testing it out on the client with a catastrophic result.
What started as a root touch up, ended up with patches of 3/4 length of hair missing because the ends were overprocessed, very little conditioner was used, ends were bleached anyway and no heat protector used before the hair was blow dried after 2 secondary applications of bleach. One of the instructors needed to teach the student how to properly comb the hair and yet seeing hair breaking and falling in long strands the harsh brushing continued. Having multiple students work on the hair also results in uneven looking hair colour on either side, perhaps switching sides for students or having the instructor come to check for evenness would be beneficial. I truly do appreciate how hard the students worked on the hair and really wanted the end product to look great, they were friendly, polite and went the extra mile; I believe it was merely poor communication on what would happen if corners were cut or instructions not followed exactly. For hair that has been well maintained with no heat damage to break off 3/4 of the length with no comment from the instructor on how to salvage it other than "dont touch it from now on" is upsetting. No post-colour hair treatment or heat protection offered. There seems to be no products designated for after-colour care other than what students bring themselves and at closing time it seems corners are cut and people are hurried to cash out before proper checks are performed. I do enjoy coming here and anticipate that cut or colour wont be exact or even perfect but charging a client with extra charges not discussed previously for hair that fell out with no apology or comment seems unprofessional.

Tracey did my hair and I am so in love! I went in with a video of a pretty unique cut and she pulled it off amazing! She was so nice and took the time to listen to what I wanted and make sure that everything was good. Im still smiling hours later and Im so happy that she did my hair!

Ashley is an amazing instructor. She explains everything so specifically and in different ways. She always makes sure that everyone gets what she is saying. She pushes everyone to do their best. She doesn't just make you do the tasks she makes you understand every step you're doing and why. She is the best instructor I have ever had.
