Marcello's Pizzeria

I ordered a pizza for takeout and they overcharged me. When I complained that nobody told me that it’ll be extra charge the owner, Frank, wasn’t nice to me and said we can’t tell everybody everything. All this for a couple of dollars. He said you either take the pizza or go. I can’t believe the way he spoke to me. They absolutely don’t care about their customers, especially when you order one thing. Their customer service is terrible.

I am writing this in the parking lot of the restaurant as my boyfriend and I just had dinner at Marcello’s.

First off. The food is good. However the service is a different story.

We had Aneliya as our waitress. Friendly but pushy. We were rushed out of the restaurant. We asked for a few min to decide on a main.not 30 seconds later she’s back at the table. We had to keep asking her for water refills.

We spent over $130 for the two of us on food and alcohol…we were caught by surprise when we paid our bill and she had the audacity to come back to the table to complain about her tip. Ridiculous as we tipped fairly. Tipping is a courtesy. Not an obligation.

Marcello's needs to get rid of staff like this. Completely unacceptable. Especially because it was done in front of other customers.

We definitely won’t be back just for this reason. If you have to visit Marcello’s go to the one at St Clair and dufferin because the Woodbridge staffing sucks.

Wow wow wow what a great experience. This was such an amazing meal. 45 mins wait but totally worth it. Obviously busy for an Saturday night. My boyfriend and I meals were amazing and just felt super fresh as. Our waitress recommend the homemade Nutella cheesecake and wow the best dessert we have had. 5/5 for everything great potions and the atmosphere was fantastic.

Overall amazing food. They renovated from when I was here a few years ago so the atmosphere is great. We got the alla vodka and the pizza reminds me of Italy. Will be coming here for years to come!

This is a fantastic pizzeria in Vaughan as well as an Italian restaurant. I've been here a number of times and tried just about every pizza on the menu. They're all very good to excellent. Highly recommended!

This is a lovely restaurant that we always enjoy. Food’s great and absolutely amazing staff even though it’s always busy.

Went for dinner during the week night. Plenty of staff. Food delicious. Only thing is that it gets too loud and can't talk to friends.

I've been eating at Marcello's for over 10 years now and it has always been my go-to Italian spot in Woodbridge. Whenever I was asked what Italian restaurant is good in Woodbridge, I would almost always recommend Marcello's to so many people, including clients mine. Today was a big disappointment though. As an appetizer, me and my fiancé ordered a margarita pizza with honey on the side (since she likes honey on her pizza and I don't) which was totally fine with our waiter when it was originally requested. About 15 minutes after ordering, when the pizza was apparently almost done, our waiter came to inform us that they have a new way of doing things now and the chef does not want to put honey on the side anymore and that our only option would be to have it put on the whole pizza. When we asked why, we were told that the chef doesn't want people dipping their pizza in honey, which we both found to be the most ridiculous reasoning, especially because my fiancé intended to drizzle it on her pizza. We opted to cancel the pizza out of frustration. I was surprised they didn't make an exception for this one time to just bring the pizza anyways and put the honey on the side. It was extremely frustrating because our mains came out at the same moment which meant we didn't have time to order another appetizer instead. If they had informed us earlier we could have at least opted for another appetizer. The entire dining experience afterwards went down hill, almost as if our waiter had it out for us. It was the first time I have ever left a restaurant still feeling hungry. Big disappointment and I will not be returning to Marcello's anymore even after being such a loyal customer for so many years.

Chanced upon this place while under a hunger pang. Were seated immediately. A very friendly lady served us. Despite being busy.she was attentive and quick enough. All her recommendations were great and the best part.she didnt have to think to make up what is good. She knew it and had confidence in her recommendations.and boy was she right. An amazing meal out. Going back soon. We were on table 19 but did not ask the lady her name. Ma'm.you are awesome!

Oh BTW.the Pizza! Finally someone in Canada who knows how to make a Pizza!

This was first time after my friend had raved all day about the food and how good it was. I was very excited to say the least. Upon arrival the patio dinning was beautiful and the initial service was good from our server Olga. The food was fantastic an absolute 5/5. However, as the evening continued service from Olga became worse and worse. She became non-existent and did not even check on us until we had 3-4 bites left of our food. When we asked for dessert she stated they did not have dessert menu and proceeded to pull out her cell phone and read off her phone the options. When we were confused about the dessert options, as her explanation was not clear she became irritated and we decided to skip dessert and ask for the check. When the bill arrived we tipped an appropriate amount for the total regardless of her server attitude. Once she saw the bill she threw the receipt down and when we said " thanks so much" she rolled her eyes and walked away without a word. Im shocked, as someone who works in the service industry I have a lot of patience and understanding but this was out of hand rude behaviour. Based on the previous reviews.my opinion on the service doesn't seem so unusual. Very sad because the food was phenomenal. Won't be back based on this visit maybe the near future it will be better.

The pizza is great. (My favourite is the capricciosa.) You would have to go to Italy to find anything better. The homemade tiramisù is delicious and comes in large portions. The service is consistently friendly and efficient. I once ate here four days in a row.

A place full or racism and discrimination. Staffs would not serve you equally and ignore your requirements completely.

The food was really good but the big problem was the front house, the service was really poor and our server was not nice at all actually she was rude. I got really disappointed by the service food was great but service was really poor they even didn’t deserve the tip!

This was the first time coming to this place and I gotta tell you this is the best pizzeria I e been to in a long time the food was soo fresh and flavourful my family loved the food we had an amazing waiter his name was Oscar very professional fast service and very friendly I definitely recommend this place for any event and if you do go with family or friends I do recommend Oscar to serve you he understood I have a nut allergy and he recommended me the food I was able to have and made sure nothing was cross contaminated I will be returning to this place again very soon very happy with the restaurant and service we got tonight

Italian restaurant. First observation.it was so very LOUD inside. I could barely hear the person beside me. This place could use some sound reduction techniques.all the floor and wall were tile, just made the noise worse, I swear I could hear people across the restaurant. Aside from that. Service was great, friendly and attentive. Food was very good. Fresh and very authentic.

This place is a flat out 5! Amazing Italian food, very fast and efficient service! I mean surprisingly well run! Also extremely reasonably priced considering the quality of their food. Absolutely fantastic dining experience every time I go. Their Mozzafiato pizza might be my favorite pizza of all time.

The tiramisu will make you question reality it is so good!

If you go to this restaurant and you don’t enjoy it, you should consider getting some counseling. In fact you should wear a helmet whenever you go outside and have a team of people following you to make sure you don’t hurt yourself.

Just an all round amazing restaurant.

Always good food! When they are busy service can be a bit spotty, so as long as you are not in a rush, it's a great place to grab a bite to eat. Great menu with lots of options! Lots of parking and food is always consistent. Have a patio area to enjoy as well.

First and Last time here, If you are not Italian don't bother coming to this resturant, Especially Lisa's section, she did not care for any of her Non Italian tables, food was NOTHING SPECIAL I have had Much better pasta and pizza at other restaurants. I don't normally bother posting reviews but her actions was not acceptable as a waiter Treat everyone equally especially if you want a good tip! Our Bill was over $250.00 I wanted to tip over 20 percent but left her 15 percent thank to my husband or else I would have left 0 tip, maybe this will be a lesson for her next time, be nice to all your tables Italian or Non italian!

If you're coming for some real Italian wood burning pizza.this is not the place! Pizza is disgusting and pizza's are rushed out and under cooked. MUCH BETTER PLACES in Vaughan for real wood burning pizza

I can understand why this place is so busy. The food is amazing and priced very well. My favorite is the pizza, you can't go wrong with any of them. All the food is very affordable as well. What made our experience very nice was our server Mack. He came by frequently and he got us our food pretty fast even though the store was really busy. The one good thing about this place is the amount of servers they have on hand for the size of the restaurant so you're not waiting forever for service. Will visit again! Thanks Mack!

My husband and I often eat at Marcelo’s. The food is great, no doubt, but the owner, Frank, was so rude to us today. I could not believe it. During dinner, I rested my leg on the chair in front of me. I shouldn’t of, but I’ve been dealing with Siatica and I was in pain. A waitress came over and asked me to please put my foot down because the owner didn’t like that. I was embarrassed and shocked. We paid for our meal and I asked the owner if the chairs were leather, he said no, but they were new and if I wanted to put my leg on chair to stay home. Wow! I have never been spoken to like that before. I think there’s a better way. I said he was rude and we were never coming back. His response was that he would prefer it that way. Our business there is one in a million, so he doesn’t care, but honestly, I couldn’t believe that someone can be so rude. We have spent so much money there. I think that my husband and I have indirectly helped to pay for a few of the new chairs that he has purchased. Frank, appearances aren’t everything. Learn some people skills.

Renovated, brighter, and can accommodate to somewhat have sections for group get togethers. As well as accomodating a small party. Can dine indoor or outdoor. Never disappoints. You look around you, and you see what others are having. You decide on what you'll have, and you realize they're all very tasty and well-done. Must have their homemade tiramisu and cappuccino.perfect ending.

Food is okay but nothing special. Service has not been great. Consistently had to ask for our water to be refilled for example. $3 for a cup of hot water is ridiculous.

You need better waiters that actually care about the customers' satisfaction. Tipping culture here is so bad. A tip which is not to their liking will get you passive aggressiveness even though they are doing literally the bare minimum

The fettucini Alphonso was good. Pizza was way too salty. The atmosphere is nice after the renovations. The waiter who was assisting us was extremely rude and arrogant. When we asked for bread he told us that the pizza and pasta we ordered were "carbs". Gee I had no idea! This negative experience with the waiter ruined it for my friend and I.
