Food is overall underseasoned.
Got the pizza bruschetta. Perhaps should not be on the menu, the tomatoes were tasteless. The dough not seasoned.
Calamari was tender. But underseasoned.
Caprese salad was again not seasoned. Maybe when using winter tomatoes the chef should be more generous with the pesto.
Pizza was ok.
We went for Sunday 7pm dinner. By 8.30pm we were the only ones left and made to feel rushed. The restaurant was empty.
The left overs we took home were sandwiched together. I’ve never seen pizza boxed like that.
First and last time eating there.

Years after years, tried, tested and true. Lively atmosphere.

Disappointing… heard good words about this place, but very different in person. Servers do not know the menu or details about menu items… we asked what size the pizza is as were told “personal size”… what size is that? The server motioned the size of the bread plate. Ok, so we ordered “the Americano” which actually called “the Canadian” at other pizzerias. We ordered pasta bolognaise as well.

Service was slow… we waited for drinks and water. Food was slow to arrive.

When food arrived, pizza ended up being 12” rather than the 6” motioned by the server. The pizza was burned on the sides and bottom… we asked server and he responded that Is how it is prepared from the stone oven. Really? More like a lazy pizza baker! The pasta was undercooked (almost crunchy!). We asked to speak to the manager… a woman approached us and we asked why the pasta is undercooked… she responded… if you don’t like it, don’t eat it!

Nonetheless, our visit would be our last.

The food here is absolutely incredible. Great service and prices too. They have a lot of the traditional pastas and pizzas you see at almost any Italian restaurant, but what I really love are the items that are more unique, such as their Genoa pizza. Their vodka pasta and caprese salad are also two of my faves. I can't wait to go back for some real Italian deliciousness.

The food here is seriously delicious! And let me tell you, the service is top-notch, the best in town. The staff all work together like a well-oiled machine, and they're super friendly and attentive. Plus, they don't skimp on the portions, so you'll definitely leave here with a full belly. Highly recommend this place if you want a tasty meal and great service.

Tasty pizza but the ambience was a bit off. We were clearly treated differently from other patrons because we didn't buy drinks, apps, and dessert. I'm giving 3 stars as to not be too harsh but my partner and I will not be returning as there are other pizzerias in the city that will value our business more.

Had a highly underwhelming and rather weird experience at Marcello's. When we told our server, David, there was a birthday at our table, he brought out tiramisu, which later ended up on our bill. This was shocking as most restaurants offer complimentary desserts for birthdays and special events; however, Marcello's did not bother doing so. The food was decent, yet nothing to really look back on and come again. As we were ready to leave, we received one bill. When asked to split it, our server told us we could figure it out amongst ourselves later instead of simply splitting our bill as we had requested.

Serviced by the Toronto-famous David! He took great care of us and my Fettuccine Alfonzo, was honestly one of the best pastas I’ve ever had, so tasty. Served hot, and just tasted like your traditional Italian grandma made it in her kitchen. Good portions too! Will certainly be back.

First time here and I must say absolutely bang on I give this fine Italian restaurant 5 + star review for service, food and quality. Our waiter Daveed was extremely attentive and polite. I would most definitely recommend this exquisite establishment for some excellent Italian cuisine. Also my compliments to Chef Kumar gold stars all the way.

Hi so I walked in the restaurant today at 8: 40pm realizing that it is closing in 20 minutes, the nice lady at the front said yes we are still open so I wanted to get a pizza for my daughter that was at her late dance class. Then a lady from the kitchen yelled and said that they are closed.waiters told her I was doing take out and then repeated closed. Woww. I head over to the next pizza restaurant and guess what 5 to 9 they made me a pizza. Marcellos very bad customer service. Will not go back ever or recommend you to anyone at the dance school Ontario ballet.

Without a doubt, the best proper Italian pizzeria in Toronto. Hands down. Unpretentious, simple and carries delicious pizza!

We had a bevy of pizzas and pasta specials that were ridiculously delicious. Best Italian food in our village, for sure.

By the way, the staff were amazing too! Super accommodating and friendly.

I’m obsessed with the orrechiete with the sausage and evo sauce. I recommend adding extra garlic to the dish! DELISH

My pasta and salad were very good. Customer service was great as well. I do wish they had more options for cocktails but everything was great.

If you want some amazing Italian food this is the place to go. The food is always great and you always get a good portion. I have been to this location and the one in Vaughan many times. We always have great service and the food comes out pretty fast too.

Best place for pizza hands down. The arancini is also so damn good. Probably my favorite Italian restaurant in the city.

Amazing food! I got the Orecchiette alla Pugliese and it was delicious. I definitely recommend it as a great Italian food.

I eat in this spot a lot since I work right next to it. I must say the customer service is always good and they keep the spot clean regularly. Pricing is affordable and they serve generous portions.

This is a place that you can always count on for great food. I've been coming here for many years and the quality and service has always been consistent. The portions are also generous so come hungry. We had the pleasure of sitting in Severn's section today and were well taken care of. This place changed. Last time I was here the Margherita pizza was tasteless and absolutely runny.seemed as a novice was in the kitchen. I was very surprised as I used to come here with my dad a lot. I find it appalling that someone would serve me that if you call yourself a pizza maker.
The pasta was fine, but notice too many little changes I don't like, even portions. This won't be a first choice on s Clair anymore.

I've never been to Italy but it's hard to imagine pizza being better than this. Regardless, I doubt I'll find on this side of the Atlantic.

My mom has been telling me about this pizza for 25 years. Every single time we have pizza she tells me how it isn't anything compared to Marcello's (blah blah blah is what I heard.)
So, we had planned a day in the city for an event but we weren't sure where to eat until we noticed how close the pizzeria was to the event location and I said "F*%& it, I want to know what all the hype is about" not expecting very much. Well, who knew pizza could be life altering.

Great food, authentic burrata, very accommodating and helpful. The waiter was great suggestions options for gluten free and vegetarian.

All of our visits here have been good and the food as always is exceptional. Only reason for giving 3 stars was because of the service experience. We came in after the dinner rush and saw many seats available. We requested a table in the corner that seated 4 but were told that was for a larger party and were seated on a table for 6. Interestingly we noticed only 4 people came in after us and were seated there. Also didn't appear to notice any "reservation" sign. Lastly at the end of our dinner we requested the bill and when the server brought back the payment machine he surprisingly threw it on the table towards our guest. Top it off he didn't even enter the bill on the machine so had to come back again. Just a comment that don't be so rude if customers insisted on paying and rather than throwing the machine and walk away just leave the machine on the table, especially as we had a lot of extra space for a party of three. Plus I know they would've have gotten a much better tip. In the end perhaps lesson here is don't have a tantrum when customers insist to pay the bill. There are many ways to end on a positive.
Thank you to the kitchen staff who always make great food especially the pizza! Still a great place to go for real quality food.
