Marigold Unique Flavour - Indian -Thai -Indo chinese

Nice clean, stylish atmosphere. We were served by the owner, he was super kind and helpful in suggesting dishes we might like. The food was to die for, I think I was audibly moaning while eating it. Best food I've had in years. Definitely will be going back!

A Very Honest Review

I had no expectations coming here and am fairly new to Indian-styled cuisine however I've made some dishes from scratch: Chicken Korma, Butter Chicken, and a few more. While I'm no chef I can say I've made better. Ate a quarter of the dish and had to throw the rest out just too spicy and well.plain.

My order was -

Butter Chicken - $17 plus tax
2 pieces of Garlic Naan Bread - $6 plus tax
And a side of small rice.

The Good
- Super nice employee
- Fast.but is that good?

The Bad

The PRICE is WAY TOO EXPENSIVE for the portions. This isn't five-star dining, as most of the tables inside weren't even clean.

Fresh?

There is no way it's fresh when it takes 7 minutes from order to being served. The first thing I heard was the pop of a microwave and the warming up of what seemed to be the main dish. Why you ask? Well for starters the chicken was sitting in the sauce for some time as you can see that the sauce has bled into the meat.

Mild?

For a mild dish, it's extremely on the hot side.

I hate to say it but this was not that good. Even if It was free I wouldn't change my mind but for 35 bucks? !

I NEVER leave reviews or bad comments but this was just mind-boggling, especially for the price. Do yourself a favor, buy fresh chicken breast, a jar of chicken korma sauce from no frills, or "make fresh" and you'll enjoy it a lot more.

I'm sorry but for 35 bucks which includes a tip I can say I will never eat out here again and that I'm extremely disappointed.

As for other dishes I can't speak on other dishes but this dish and its price is a no-go.

I was served cold basmati rice. I ordered butter chicken and I got about 6 small morsels of chicken floating in what I can only assume is a butter chicken type soup. The Naan was the best part. I'm not sure why butter chicken is sold separately from the rice and Naan, as I have always been served all three anywhere else I go. I love Indian food but was pretty disappointed with this one. 2 stars for the good Naan!

Delicious food cooked fresh to order. Knowledgeable, friendly staff willing to answer questions.

Absolutely delicious! And the gentleman who took my order was very nice. I got takeout and when he noticed me waiting in my vehicle he brought my food out to me!

The food seems mostly all handmade, I think they make their naan in house and it's great!

10/10 will go again and I definitely recommend it!

We ordered Veg Pad Thai, Chicken Korma, Dal Tarka and Palak Aloo and everything was delicious. The food came out fast and the service was incredible. We sat on the patio which was private and very cozy. My family will definately be returning when we visit Pembroke again.

We unfortunately had to have our food order delivered to the Pembroke Hospital. The staff at the restaurant made that delivery happen! A friend referred us to this particular restaurant for their butter chicken and they did not disappoint! We personally do not live in Pembroke but when we do go back, this will be where we go for dinner! Take out service is great so I can just imagine what dining in will be like! This restaurant is a “must go to” if you like lots of flavour. The friendly and helpful staff are more than willing to help you find your “ new favourite meal”. 1st time trying as a graduation gift and oh boy it was perfect! The Chicken Vindaloo and Chicken Tikka Masala were such a nice mix of flavors with a nice punch of spiciness! The "Unique" flavour is spot on and really is such a pleasant experience! The people there were friendly and nice as well which really made this a great experience! If you're looking for a unique yet beautifully tasty experience in Pembroke than this is definitely the place! Will eat here again for sure!

If you combine good flavors, perfect spices, beautiful ambience and your family/friends, your food turns into a great FAMILY TIME! And thats exactly how we feel, whenever I visit Marigold. They never stop us to surprise with their mouth watering and scrumptious Indian food options. The wait is really worthy. Highly recommend‍‍️

1st time eating here. Daughter and I went for supper and were not disappointed. So flavorful and authentic. Customer Service was amazing and we will 100 percent be going back. If u haven't tried this, go now. Run there. You won't be disappointed.

I read the other 5-star comments with a bit of scepticism. But here I am, adding another 5 star comment and a recommendation to grab some great food from Marigold if you're in the area.

This was seriously amazing. I just moved here from the city and just as I was lamenting that I would not have good Indian food anymore - there it was at Marigolds. Keep it up!

Delicious food, great service and the servers recommendations have made us lovers of Indian cuisine. You really have to try this establishment. You won't be disappointed. Oh yeah, their Butter Chicken with Naan bread is off the charts!

If I could leave 10/5 stars I would. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! We got a special celebratory lunch today of the lamb rogan josh, chicken korma, red chilli chicken tikka for an appetizer and red velvet cheesecake for dessert. The dessert was amazing but the owner unfortunately gets no credit for that as it’s from the Cheesecake Factory. The food though - oh my goodness! I don’t know what I liked more. Every bite was better than the one before. The portions were HUGE! Our meal could easily feed 4 and still have leftovers (you may just need to get more rice). We will be regulars for sure! If you haven’t tried this yet - you haven’t lived. I’m sure the butter chicken is good but it was so fun to try something new and let me tell you I don’t think butter chicken will ever satisfy me compared to these flavors!

So much more than I expected. I called in at 755pm on a Sunday, the person there had the food ready in 15 minutes. It was the best butter chicken and garlic naan I have had in ten years. The naan was soft and moist, the butter chicken was full of flavour and lightly spicy. I’m excited to eat it again for lunch tomorrow.

The best food I've had from a place in a long time. Great amount of food for the price as well, to top it all off. Lamb Rogan Josh was incredible, as well as the Chicken Korma.

Gobi Garlic Cauliflower- fantastic, spicey, great texture! Coconut rice beautiful along with the Green Curry chicken!

Their pad Thai and coconut rice is as genuine as it gets. The Valley lacks a wide variety of food, but this just brought the most genuine, high-grade, succulent indo-chinese food to the Valley. Better than good, not generically made, no cheapness in their cooking. Equal to any of the GTA's best Indian restaurants.
