Marita Payne Park

This is a beautiful park in our neighbourhood.we often walk the river path which is paved from Dufferin to 407 and stretches all the way up to Rutherford!

Really nice strip of nature with gorgeous trees and pond. Only reason I gave it 2 stars and not 4 or 5, is on account of the noise of nearby traffic.

We've been living in a vicinity of this park for 1.5 years and weren't aware of it Such a gem!
It has a little pond with ducks and gees, clean grass areas and 2 children active parks. Couple of small bridges and a big socker field. It has all the pros we like in parks. Very recommended to spend couple of hours and relax in this beautiful place!

It's beautiful and peaceful. Lots of greeneries and open area to play with your dog. Although, you have to be careful as coyote sightings are possible. Parking is along Clark Ave, if it is full, you can park in the library or community center which is a close walking distance from the park.

There is a pond, streams and children's playground. Birds are singing and flowers are fragrant. Spring is here!

We enjoy walking and biking here daily. It's a nice local pond with walking trails. Beautiful in October as the leaves change colours

Beautiful park with a pond and trail and a few playground. Unfortunately, have a lot of caterpillars.

So serene and beautiful, in the middle of the suburbs. Lovely river and pond. Lots of geese though. Watch your step. Nice winding paths and hills.

Excellent Park with beautiful trails and a beautiful pond to sit and picnic by. Also included is a playground and baseball diamond.

Sound of birds are making a nice symphony very nice neighborhood and good place for photography around the pond

This park is such a gem in the middle of the city. Actually it's a bunch of parks connected by paths and ponds/waterfalls. Absolutely awesome!

Play sets and pathways are well maintained. Overall nice place to take a stroll any time of the year.

Always love coming here on the weekend. The park is so huge you can walk through it all day (I'm not joking). Lovely nature walks, and especially lovely during the Summer and Fall.

Great park for a family activity, walking the paved trails, sliding at the small hills covered with snow and enjoying the large playground for kids.

The park has since been improved a lots more since my last review years ago. The scenery during autumn is beautiful, duck and geese are part of the wildlife complementing the livelihood of this small parkland. Strolling along the pond to enjoy what the nature can offer.

Very beautiful, and colourful, small park. Although the park is small and not the largest in the area, it has plenty of reasons to visit and spend your time. There is a soccer field, a tennis court, a basketball court, and even a pond. The nature is gorgeous, with many different animals. A great place to have a walk in the park, or keep your kids busy outside in the nature.

Huge park with sports fields, old growth trees, a river. Named after a Canadian Olympian who also happens to be Andrew Wiggins mother.

I like that park. Calm, clean and nice with one long hiking path. Stroller friendly. Only one part of the path, I don't like, when you close to 407, because it is very loud from traffic.

Cute little park that's nice for a shorter relaxing walk. If you are thinking of having a longer hike, it's not really suitable. Nice pond to sit and at watch the ducks! A few smaller play grounds around for kids to enjoy.

Beautiful park in a beautiful neighbourhood. Tons of pathway and trails through glen shields neighbourhood as well as the Clark community. Whole area used to be a golf course so tons of places to walk through and great park space for activities. Baseball diamonds, soccer fields, jungle gym etc.

What a beautiful park! I loved it here. The trees are so big that they provide a lot of shade even on a hot summer day. The pond bring a nice breeze over your face to kill the heat. Be warned there are a lot of birds. You may not be able to find a spot for a picnic near the water without any birds! I also didn't come across any washrooms.
