The renovations really spruced up the place! I've been coming here for years as it's the only laundromat in the area. Oftentimes it's very busy making it difficult to find an available washer or dryer due to their employees using most of the machines to wash hotel linen. To further the problem; commonly only 3/6 dryers function, although while I was there recently, 5/6 were working but it also smelled of cigarette smoke and there were people blasting music from their phones in the dryer area.

If most dryers are working moving forward, I'll likely update the review to 4️

Market Cleaners is always great to me when I need a laundry cleaning.

There is a front attendant who can make transactions for soap pods and dryer sheets.

However the system here is card operatedso you will be required to get a plastic card.

Staff are efficient workers of which have allways been welcoming.

Staying in Ottawa for conference and needed a laundromat near to the Fairmont. This little gem is in the Byward market area.

Excellent service they have both washing and drying machines. The owner was extremely helpful and even recommended the closet coffee shop for great coffee.

$10 for one load of washing and drying.

After spending over $4000 at Market Cleaners over the past four years, I'm finally done. It's the closest mat to our home, but the way they run their business makes no sense. They have about eight washers and 12 dryers that are open to the public AND to their own employees to wash other clients' (i.e. Hotels) linens. So good luck finding machines that are available. They need to choose which kind of business they want to run: a mat to the public and have their employees wash the linens after public hours OR just wash the linens and don't open to the public. I just showed up to do some laundry (for the last time) and every single machine was in use by their employees. This has happened multiple times. It's beyond frustrating.

Impossible to buy a new card with credit/debit card, only cash accepted. I had to load 18$ on my card and was told it’s not refundable.

We used Market Cleaners for our event in Ottawa and they were amazing! They serviced the laundry over a 7-day event that included teams from 8 countries and local/international staff, which came to about 200 people. Service was on-point, on time, and very professional. We will use them again next year and highly recommend!

I recently had my wedding dress cleaned at Market Cleaners and would highly recommend their services to other Brides. After the COVID-19 wedding rush at the end of 2021, my wedding dress cleaning took longer than expected but Market Cleaners was transparent and excellent at communicating with me along the way. I can’t express enough how great my experience was. I was in Ottawa on business and in the middle of a long road trip bouncing from city to city. I was in desperate need of clean clothes and dry cleaning and they squeezed me in for next day service. They did a terrific job at a fair price, but regardless of that it was the service that stood out. Just very good people. Thanks to all and I highly recommend them. Sacha and Leo were phenomenal. I have the Canada Goode Expedition Parka, and I was nervous about cleaning it. I found this place on Canada Goose’s official website, so this is why I trusted it. They left my red parka looking as if I just bought it from the store. The managed to take out every single stain. The explained the entire process perfectly, which I really appreciated. It was ready to be picked up in less than one week. From now on, this is the only place I will trust with my winter coats. The people working there are also very kind and friendly.

If you want to damage your clothes, coming here to wash them will be the right choice.

The first photo is the left cuff, it is good. The second and third photos are of the right cuff, which was still wet when I fetched it, and it was deformed after it dried. This shop is very funny! If you plan to send your clothes to this shop for washing, I hope you can read my reviews before you decide.

I sent my Canada goose to be washed on December 2nd. The cashier said that I could pick it up on the 9th. Then when I went on the 9th, they said it was not ready yet. This shows that they are not punctual.

Then two days later, I called to ask them if my clothes could be picked up, and the cashier said yes. When I went to pick it up on the 13th, I found a lot of yellow dirt on the right cuff of my down jacket. I don't know what it is. I regret not taking pictures. The cashier told me to pick it up the next day, and she needed to ask her manager what to do. This shows that they will not help you check whether your clothes are clean after washing your clothes, which is extremely irresponsible.

Finally, at noon today (14th), the cashier called me and said that the cuff was cleaned, and I can pick it up at any time. So I went to their store in the afternoon, and a man (probably the manager) gave me my clothes. When I checked my clothes, he seemed impatient and hoped that I would end the inspection soon. At the time I touched the outside of the right cuff and it was a little wet, but I didn't think much about it. Then i paid. But when I took it home and put it on, I found that the right cuff inside were completely wet. After it dries, the right cuff became deformed and it smelled a bit stinky. A bit stinky! Why? And it is obvious that the right cuff are not clean. At this time, I understand why the man in the store hopes that I will end the inspection soon! This shows that they treat guests like fools!

In general, my Canada goose was kept in their store for 12 days. In order to get my down jacket, I had to go to the store three times, and when I went to get it the last time, the right cuff of my down jacket were still wet. It doesn't matter if it is wet, the point is that when it dries, it becomes deformed and smelly. What the hell is this store doing?

Many years ago I made the mistake of buying a white Canada Goose winter coat. After wearing it for a couple winters it was absolutely filthy. I did not want to put this expensive coat in the washing machine. I took it to Market Cleaners instead. When I picked it up, I couldn't believe my eyes. It was actually white again! I was so shocked and impressed. I easily recommend getting your Canada Goose (or any other coat) dry cleaned here.

Place was clean, well kept and friendly! The machines were in good repair and the cost was reasonable! 5/5 - great job!

We needed to do laundry while visiting Ottawa and this place was a lifesaver! Super friendly and clean/new machines.

I never had an issue before, but this last time wasn't very good. I had my laundry done there and it looked a four year must have folded my clothes. Everything was horribly wrinkled, no socks were matched. It was probably the least professional laundry service I've ever returned home to find. They've done a good job previously, but this was just bad. My t-shirts might as well have just been balled up with a rubber band they're so wrinkled and out of sorts. Definitely not worth paying for. At all.
