What a welcoming place to go! A lovely environment where you learn a lot about Markham and our communities! Thank you Lisa and Scott for your guidance during my visit!

Very exciting and at the same time a calm place to spend time.
We went for the apple fest and there were lots of activities for kids.

Quaint little museum. Lots of interactive things for kids. Beware of live coyotes and snakes on the property

The current exhibition of the museum is about Transportation and Chinese culture. There are plenty of interactive exhibits yet there are only few visitors, so you can easily experience these exhibits without needing to queue for them. Extremely suitable for families with children who likes playing with interactive exhibitions.

There is also an outdoor area with guided tour at 2pm, where there are many old houses. Visitors can immerse themselves with the early lifestyles of the pioneers of Markham.

After all, the admission of the museum is only $7 which is not expensive when compared with other museums in Toronto. This museum is highly recommended.

Markham museum more like Markham "Markup", make sure you arrive when the tours are taking place otherwise there is nothing to do, you can just look at locked buildings

There are some old houses they moved from other places. They are only open during guided tours.

Wow great tour by Kaidi I think her name was. She was so attentive and let us ask as many questions as we wanted.

The museum collects modern means of transportation and daily necessities. There is an indoor playground for children to play. The park has old houses and farmhouses and farming tools.

Nice history of Markham. Admission is cheap but not very interesting for those roots are from here. The historical buildings are great but are too spread apart.

My family went there today and we learned so much about Markham history. Ms. Cadi is excellent tour guide. We also played the mini putt. We have a good time. We will come back again!
Thanks!

We recently had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Markham Museum.
Lillian and her team were incredible throughout the whole process. The day of the ceremony it rained on and off and the staff at Markham museum did everything possible to make our outdoor ceremony possible and beautiful.
We are grateful to the staffs and everyone involved in making our day special. Thank you so much!

My first time visiting and I was with a student field trip. Great place to check out if you are looking for an outing involving kids. The play areas were well thought-out, but may need a little extra supervision from staff in certain sections (ex: kids were enjoying riding around on the little vehicles, but they would have gotten crazy or take stuff out of the designated area if someone wasn't keeping an eye). Great learning experience though and activities are well thought-out. Recommend learning some classroom management techniques to help run some of the activities because kids get excited. A general rule: their age is the number of minutes they can sit for (i.e. For 7-yr-olds, max. 7mins of talking at a time). Info was great, just break up the speaking time, so the kids can focus.

A great place to kill some time when it is raining, few interesting activities, but think it is more suitable for kids under 6.

Lack of maintenance, exhibits also lack of content. The overall atmosphere is not very good and it is not worth recommending.

It is a bit like the Shanghai Minhang District Museum where you used to live, but the indoor pavilion part is much smaller in scale and the collection is mostly household items.
But the special thing is that there are many old houses placed in the park, just like the Black Creek Village.
There is a car head somewhat like Snowpiercer.
It is a good place to take wedding photos.

Interesting little spot to get some perspective on things, can see it getting better in the future as well with some small improvement.

Neat spot to bring your kids for some fun in the Markham moves exhibit. Lots of build it yourself ball drop coasters and toy vehicles to play with and a large ball drop exhibit.
