Mark's

The store is packed so full of stuff there is barely room to walk. The sale signs are basically anywhere so the staff just say they don't apply to whatever you have picked up. The prices are high but good quality

Horrible customer service. The lady I spoke with at the cash counter was rude and ignorant. Her behavior was unprofessional and offensive.

They lost a $200 sale. Went in and asked if there is any sales for black Friday. And contrary to their signs, I was informed their was no black Friday sale. Rather than referring to the signages around the store, I simply walked out and spent my money at Walmart.

Went to the Trainyards to purchase a couple of pairs of shorts for the summer. Surprisingly the shorts were on sale at half price. Staff was also very helpful in helping me find the ones I was looking for. Highly recommended store with great selection of clothing.

My husband is a big guy and it's always so hard to find sizes for him.
Marks never disappoints

5 stars to Ottawa store can't say as much for equipeur on quebec side, managers in gatineau store don't treat employees right at all this is very very bad, hummm wonder why 8 out of 12 quit in the past 30 days, oh yeah try a mirror to find the answer and wake up.

Good store. Great seslection of work boots and clothes. Often have really good sales. Good quality products

I called this store with a vague description of a boot a friend had bought - I was not optimistic until Salyia (SP?) came to the rescue! She got my full description and size required, hunted through the store for a match and returned with good news. She believed she found the boot but did not have my size, but she checked and the Glouster store had them! This was above and beyond the call of duty and I was very impressed. Thanks Salyia!

Solid little spot that had better stock then I expected.

Also managed to grab a bunch of stuff on clearance at a good price.

Wide selection of work boots. Spend lots of time trying out the different brands to find the right fit for my foot. Got lots of help, thanks!

The staff here have been amazing! They have been very helpful and resourceful. We came to purchase several item and we had one item that wasn't on sale (at least it wasn't marked) and the cashier helped us with it. I would highly recommend this store and you will find that the staff will go the extra mile if you are nice, respectful, and simply ask them to see what they can do. Excellent customer service experience for me here!

I went to return a pair of unworn boots for a larger size and the manager was extremly rude and she made a big fuss about the return and refused the refund. I went to another mark's and got an exchange no problem. Its worth the trip to go to another location. Terrible customer service experience.

I usually only write reviews if I get exceptional or horrible customer service. Well unfortunately our visit to this store on July 10th ranks in the latter category. Having already shopped at a few stores in the Trainyards plaza where most stores closed at 6 pm or later, we were surprised when we walked in at Mark’s and they were closing at 5 pm. We walked in at 4: 45 pm and right away an employee walked behind us and locked the front doors behind us. As I knew what I was looking for right away (2 pairs of shorts and 2 shirts), I proceeded towards the fitting rooms with about 7 minutes before the store closed and this same Spanish speaking lady literally yelled at me from about 25 feet away that the fitting rooms are closed. It would have taken me 3 minutes to try on the shorts/ shirts and I would have gone to the cash immediately knowing they were closing soon. This individual simply walked us out the door without saying a word. I spend thousands of dollars annually at Canadian Tire and Mark’s, well that was before today. If this person would have spoken to me the way most people like being treated, it would have been a different experience. To yell at a customer is absolutely unacceptable and this employee needs some serious customer service and etiquette training.

I am changing my original 1 star review to 3 stars as the store manager Astrid did reach out to me today and was very apologetic for my experience and has promised me that training will be provided to the sales associate in question. Kudos for the company to take my complaint seriously and to take remedial actions.

Terrible hours. For a place that caters to working people the hour definitely dont reflect that.

This location has terrible customer service. They forgot to remove one of the shoplifting alarms and then acted like I was inconveniencing them when I had to go back to have it removed.

Despite the whole pandemic situation. I was in need of new work boots and always call to check if the store has the boot or not. Ill just go to a different store. I called 3 different Mark's locations which the website the stores had the boot in stock. They did not. Not only did I waste time running around for absolutely nothing. The workers at Mark's wont do searches, it literally takes 20 seconds. I counted while the Mark's worker looked up the boot on her phone via style number. I WAS a long time shopper at Mark's for 12 years. Do not use marks. You can find everything you want online and have it shipped.
I wasted time and money trying to spend money towards Mark's. I'm in absolute discust as this is a major corporation. I honestly hope Mark's work wear house folds

I love shopping at this store.i really don't understand those handful of people who are complaining about the staff and especially the manager.oh well there are always those "privileged" individuals who feel the world must cater to them.get a life already and go shop at Walmart! Merchandise is top quality and staff is even better.

Slightly disappointed that you can't get odd sizes for shorts. Was explained that seasonal clothing is all in even sizes

Extremely disappointed in their men's clothing. I used to buy their Wind river summer shorts on a regular basis but they changed the design and they no longer resemble nor have the same quality of the material they used to. Also, I recently bought 4 tank tops and once they got out of the dryer after 1 washing, , they shrunk so much that I had to return them. At first, the clerk wouldn't accept the return so I had to get her to get the store manager to approved the return/refund. It took her 35 minutes to figure out how to make the refund. I don't know what happened to the once great store but it's definitely not the same as it was a few years ago. I have patiently returned to do my shopping there in the past 2 years and more often than none, left the store empty handed due to the high prices and lack of clothes selection. I will no longer be shopping at "any" Mark's Warehouse stores.

The manager at this location is the rudest person I have encountered in a long time. Please consider client service training!

A store with a manager who has her own return policy which has nothing to do with Mark's return policy. I had a very bad customer experience with the manager, and I never had any difficulty returning items during my 10 years as loyal customer to Mark's. I had to call customer service to get my issue resolved. Instead of creating a unique excellent customer experience for customers this lady just ruines it for you and makes you regret making your decision to shop at Mark's.

Disappointed. I thought they sold scrubs.well they do, but it was just one rack and there were no sizes and no matched uniforms. I had gone in hoping to find those all cotton, 3/4 sleeve under uniform shirts too but they no longer carry them?
I'm just surprised their image is for work clothing and I didn't see much of that.

Natasha at cash was super helpful! Honestly this is the best location to go to. She was super understanding and so helpful!

The lady in the shoes section immediately knew where everything was from my vague descriptions of what I wanted, quickly got in and out!

Staff excellent! They aren't shy about telling customers to put masks on properly during this covid we are going thru. Kudos to your staff!

One of my favourite places to shop. I ordered some stuff online and when I got to the store they brought it right up to the front I showed my ID and out the door I went. Always great friendly helpful service whether I'm picking up or in the store shopping.

This store was pretty well organized, lots of staff willing to help out. The only negative thing is that the store is a little bit cramped.

Let me just say.those heat tech winter jeans and leggings are the best (soooooo much better than the cheap stuff) those really saved me this coming winter. And the winter shoes.definitely have the brands that are worth getting if you want warm feet or don't want to slip on ice, just saying. I reccomend baffins ehem baffins are great.

Excellent service, friendly staff. Not just for work clothes (outdoor or labor jobs) anymore. Has really nice clothes, sweaters, henleys, button down shirts etc etc.good selection of winter boots and coats as well

Good store for essential work wear. Very fair prices for usually decent quality clothes. I shop at Mark's a few times a year.

Excellent work wear for Men & Women. Plus sizes available. Men and Women's work shoes and boots also available. Nice assortment of colors and styles for anyone. Friendly and knowledgeable staff assisted me with my purchase. Gift cards can be purchased at this Marks Location.

Good selection, too bad the sales staff is in such a hurry to get you out of the store and earn more commissions.

He is today I was very happy when I could buy some safety shoes and I did safe $75 dollar I was very happy
