Served by Diane on Sunday Sept. 16 this review echo's the rest of the reviews about bad customer service at this location. It's not hard to give good customer service but never order customers around and just say thank you and smile!

Called to inquire about an item around 7: 45 p.m. And the man who answered, after a two-minute wait, said he didn't have anyone who could go and check on the item. What I should of said then was "well why don't you go and check"? Sounds like great customer service.

Went to this Marks shortly after 5.30 pm today to arrange for a new receipt for Dakota safety boots bought yesterday after calling ahead in the morning and said receipt lost and needed a replacement and was advised to bring in my debit card which was the form of payment and a new receipt could be issued. Did what was instructed and told by cashier not able to do so, period! There was no attempt to produce a solution and when my partner did just that and pointed out how other retailers use debit cards to generate receipts she was told by the cashier not going to "argue" anymore and that she was being "rude. " When I objected with frustration now mixed with anger as my partner was trying to produce a solution and help was told to leave the store by this cashier. Two points: thought retail was about the customer, and, as soon as I get the receipt - and I will get the receipt - will never set foot in this store again.

This is the finest store around for good quality, durable clothes that last forever and look nice. Dakota Workpro Series and Wind River are two names I highly recommend. Be prepared to possibly empty your wallet at the great products on sale here.

Horrible cashier experience today at Jan 10/23 around 6 pm.

My friend called the store before driving there as not to waste any time. My friend misplaced his receipt and spoke with a manger who told him to come back to the store and they can assist and ask for Talie or Christine, neither one was in the store. Manager gave clean instructions over the phone which we repeated to the cashier, the tall older women with brown hair who was standing behind the cash. She was no help at all and gave my friend major attitude. This is when my friend asked me to explained what he was required. I asked if they were able to pull of their sales from the night before since it was paid with a debit card. I know from my experience in retail, this is very easy and its very common. Either the cashier did not want to help or she had no clue what I was suggesting and started to get flustered with my suggestion, told me that I was being very rude and demanded that we leave the store. I tried to tell her I was offering suggestions but she only got louder and again demanded we leave the store. What she should have suggested as that we call the manager or come back when there was a manager on duty as she did not have the authority or knowledge to help.

Unbelievable reaction and so unprofessional. Because of her lack of experience I would highly recommend she not put in a position serving the public.

Act II - we will go back tomorrow and speak to a manager and better get a sincere apology. Cashier actions was disgusting.

All we needed was a damn copy of the receipt from our purchase the night before.

I believe Mark's is owned by Canadian Tire. I will be reaching out to them as well.

Bayshore is far better. Cashier experience was garbage that gets recycled every day. I'm sure they are not even reading all low rated experiences and improving their customer experience. Not going back

I was attended by a Ms that has been one of the kindest persons I have meet in Canada, she was honest, sincere and was really keen in show me all the best options to decide for a jacket for winter. It was a real pleasure to talk with her! Recommend place for working wear.

I gave this a one star, because I was in there this evening. I was fully prepared to spend probably about $300 to $400 since there were more then a few things I needed. What I got, was absolutely no customer service at all. There were at least 3 people working, and none of them were paying any attention to the 2 or 3 customers in the store. I needed something that was up high, and did say "excuse me", but they continued talking amongst themselves. My husband was on the other side of the store, so I texted him to come help me. He was also the one that tried to help me find trail shoes and a few shirts. There was no acknowledgement, so I let myself into the change room to try on the few items that I had selected, but in the end, I left without buying anything, and there was nothing that indicated that the staff even realized I was there. I can guarantee you that I will not go into this location again.

Returned a pair of shoes that the heel would not hold my foot in the shoe. 90 days old, no problem, Mark's covers manufacturing defects up to 100 days after the sale. Great service! I thought that I was stuck, and found no problems with Mark's and the refund.

Horrible customer service from the Manager today. Asked if she could check to see if a pair of work shoes were in stock by using the style code and I was told no as she didn't have a hand held device to use. Seriously, you are the manager! This store used to be so great for customer service, hope the district manager can help bring this store back to it's great standards, despite current management practices.

Unfriendly and snobby cashier. Maybe work was stressful for her (There wasn't a line though) but she really ruined my mood.

A male attendant with ponytail was very nice and helpful.

It took him a long time to attend to me though because he was busy with other customers; seems the place is understaffed.

Also, It's very hard for first-time customers to identify the workers.

If you are a first-timer, I suggest you check the cashier on the left and ask her to describe the workers- they don't wear a uniform.

The Cashier has poor customer service skills.

Asides from the poor customer service, I found the shoes I was looking for.

Please consider opening at least one changeroom like your other locations. Having to go back and forth and return items because they don't fit is crazy. Fencing off the changerooms is not doing anything to stop covid, in fact, it's just causing people to have to go out more often.

Well organized store with friendly staff. Clothing was well organized in the shelves and easy to find. Also has good Covid-19 guidelines to protect customers and staff.

Always buy my work boots here. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Yet I feel they are understaffed at times especially at peak hours - evening. Sometimes it's very difficult to find the size and would have to go to another store. Just the most popular construction boots at the right price point tends to sell really quick or when they are on sale. So call in to make sure before arriving.

It's a good store. There are some good deals there if you look around, especially the clearance items.

I buy all my jeans here, high quality clothing that washes and wears amazing. Deals seem to be on the racks if you take the time to shop.

Nobody helps. They just point at a location and tell you to search their. Its not busy, actually nobody else in the store. Anyway couldn't find anything i was looking for so I left.

The place is unbelievably unorganised. It looks extremely chaotic and horrible customer service. No one greets or says hello when you come in and when you are checking out they are quick to just get you out the door. They have a wide selection just very hard to find anything.

Friendly, attentive staff, good deals as always, and after losing my phone in the store, they even put it in the safe so it wouldn't get damaged until I was able to retrieve it. Never had a bad experience at the Merivale store but this weekend was exceptional
