Used to go to this place, it was good, but I think the owners are changed, and now it loses its ambient and style.

I came here to have dinner with my boyfriend a couple weeks back, I had an absolutely incredible experience! This was my first time coming to this restaurant and it exceeded my expectations. The atmosphere, music, food and drinks were all exceptional. Our server Liel was so wonderful! She was extremely helpful and kind and tended to us the entire night, we always had everything we needed and see came to check on us consistently throughout the entire evening. It was truly exceptional service. I will definitely be coming back!

Went to my go to weekly hangout spot, got a drink, when the bartender handed out my drink, he informed me he cant serve me anymore or else he would get fired.
Tried to speak to the manager but was confronted by 2 bodyguards. Decided to leave, spend my money elsewhere, and avoid conflict.

Nice cozy place. The crispy calamari was great. Steak could have a little more seasoning. But good place

Celebrated my 31st Birthday here! Amazing vibes, DJ was super hype! I love how it’s a class restaurant and then turns into clubby vibes later in the evening!
The food was delicious! I recommend the Safron chicken! Drinks were top of the line. Had an amazing time with all my friends. Definitely will come back and recommend to others:)

It's an ok place. Absolutely stunning inside, and plating of each dish is done beautifully. Given the prices, I had higher expectations of the food. I ordered the bruschetta and the mushroom risotto. Bruschetta was good but only 4 pcs. Risotto was not fully cooked. I understand that pasta is supposed to be al dente, but this was really undercooked. That was disappointing given that they weren't busy. As a first time experience, I most likely won't be returning.

I hosted my husband's 40th birthday here. Bhanu was our server and did a phenomenal job, he was very efficient and pleasant. I was really happy with everything. The food was fantastic, even my husband was blown away by how delicious the food was, and he is a tough critic. I had the chicken marsala, he had the steak, and some of our guests had jambalaya, and oysters. Everything was tasty. We also had a spread of appetizers for our guests, which looked amazing- it included charcuterie boards, vegetarian pizzas and guac and chips. Very nice presentation!
We had the section indoors at the back and it gave us alot of privacy and our own dance floor. Music was really good too!

I'm in good physical shape. Additionally, salad alternatives are available. Choosing the Marlowe Salad is a wonderful and healthy choice. A tart balsamic dressing is drizzled over the mixture of fresh greens, roasted beets, goat cheese, and candied pecans to create the ideal harmony of sweet and salty flavors.

Staff so rude! Food was like a hungry man warmed up microwave meal. Very salty also. Dessert was great.

It took some time to get our waiters attention. 2 out of 3 meals were good one of our meals was very dry over cooked but by the time we got a waiters attention it would have taken too long to get a remake of the meal so we just shared our meals. Drinks are great selection but food and service could be improved

I was here for company lunch event. The restaurant was not busy during this event. Staff was friendly and allowed me to take some pictures. Food was good but not extraordinary. I cannot comment on food value vs.pricing. It is located in a all-restaurant plaza and in my experience finding parking spot needs patience.

Good music and good atmosphere. DJ was spinning some nice tracks on Thursday. Will get more crowd inevitably for a proper vibe!

Appetizers were good. The service was average, had to ask the waiter multiple times for simple request.

Food was good but the service is terrible! The front greeting staff does not even greet you when you enter or leave; they left us at the table for 40 mins without anyone checking in on us to place our order.

We had dinner at this restaurant. Food was delicious. DJ and dancing part was cool. Waitress was terrible. She didn’t greet us at all. She looked at us in a rude way and didn’t ask for our orders. Just waiting and looking weirdly. We asked for a pitcher and fries to start, then she asked only fries? And again she was looking at us with surprised look. My husband said yes only fries for now and we would like to order dinner a bit later. That’s rude to tell customer if they only order this or that. That is so rude. It made us feel ashamed. The other point was that my husband was ordering something else and since the music was so loud he had to repeat the order few time and when then she rolled her eyes in a very rude way to show that she does not understand my husband.
This is not a good behaviour. The waitress was older than others but I don’t know her name.

Had fun yesterday. Drinks were okay and dj was awesome. Great service from an Indian guy, cool and funny guy!

We had purchased this groupon as it seemed great value for a meal for to including a glass of wine.

Starter - We both had a Salad as a starter (choice of two)

Main - I had Chicken, Hubby had Chili Pasta with Shrimp. (better selection than the groupon details)

Desert - No Choice - Cheesecake with a coulis.

1 Glass of house wine each.

We ordered a Stella (was skunky and tasted bad) was replaced with a different beer.

Our bill was weird and this is what I am not a fan of. We had to pay the tax on the groupon - Fine $13.00 on $99.00 groupon, plus our beers and tip. We were then told for Groupon we must pay cash, no credit or debit. I was totally uncomfortable with this.

When I got home, I researched the menu and calculated the prices of our dishes, and it tuned out, the groupon offer is actually more expensive than just going there and ordering from the menu.

I would NOT recommend this groupon, its is not value for money.

I would however recommend this restaurant as the Food was Fantastic, our Server was Amazing and the ambiance was cool for a midweek date night.

We will return, and use the regular menu.

Our server Amina was really nice and helpful! She always attentive. I love the way she suggested us about their food. The lamb shank was amazing and the risotto was really good. Must try this if you visit in Marlowe Restaurant & Bar.

Style and decor was eclectic and personally gave me a unique urban-type feel. Friendly staff, their cocktails unique and refreshing, and for my first time having sea spaghetti and 10 oz new yourk striploin. Just amazing. Love to go again there anytime.

We ordered cold vodka. They served on time. The food was delicious and the shisha is on par with the prices its at. It is one of the best restaurant to go. Try their food.

Food was absolutely amazing! We go there almost 2 years now. Everytime we go, they provide the best service. That's why Marlowe Restaurant & Bar is a definite go-to if you are in Richmond Hill, ON.

We went to Marlowe today with my office gathering, witch is our office does ones a month. It's a great experience. The ambiance is very welcoming and charming. Amazing wines, food and service.our server was extremely knowledgeable. I go there twice a month.

We went to Marlow restaurant and bar for a persian party on Tuesday March 15, we noticed that the place was very unprofessionally managed. Not enough space for people to move around. As a result of overcrowding and poor security presents we witnessed few fights between people which were out of control. This place is not suitable by any means for this type of events.

The food was very tasty. We were a table of 10. Everyone enjoyed their choices. And since we went there on a Friday they had the Dj which created a cool ambient. Amazing experience! I would definitely go back since I already craved their Jambalaya dish!

Unfortunately our experience was not good. $30 per person enterance fee was paid for no reason. Food was good but it was just a resturant. We did not understand why we had to pay $30 enterance fee! I know it was a good resturant bar before but I dont feel it is continuing like before anymore. Maybe Covid impacted them.

Saturday night the place was packed and my group and I thought this was a multi cultural place but the DJ was only playing Persian music for an hour now. I will not recommend this place at all.

We went this place for Persian Party on March 15, totally wasting time and money. Police was there because people fighting, and they couldn't control guests.we were scared and didn't feel safe and left the party. If you don't have enough securities to through safe party please don't waste your guest money and time. Everything was in lower level of expectations.

We have celebrated two special occasions at Marlowe resturant so far and we've had an amazing experince overall. Their team is so helpful and attentive and their appetizer platter is one of the best in Richmond Hill! We loved everything about our expeince and would definitely book Marlowe for future events:)

I called to restaurants at 9: 30 PM on Tuesday March 15 I asked how much is The cover charge? They said $20. I went there they said $50 to you go in. Is it funny? I called the again I said why price go up so fast! Operator said I’m sorry mangier said put the price up. You can’t play with people.
When Iranian guy bought this place I was knowing he can’t handle this business. Better sale the place before you loose more money.

This place is not suitable for big parties.
They don't have enough servers and securities for parties. It might be good restaurant but the worst club, bar.
We ordered food she brought us someone else order and left the food no managers around to complain. Then we ordered drinks after 45 minutes she brought us the order no apologies.
It was so dis organized, poor management.
This Place is too small to sell the tickets for events. Do not waste your money. Staff are very rude.

We had a party of 10 booked for Saturday night… when we first arrived we sat at the table for at least 25minutes before anyone acknowledged us actually I had to wave someone over… then waited 30mins for drinks some were forgotten and then waited additional minutes. We ordered food appetizers and dinner it all came at the same time which we did not want and no cutlery to boot had to wait for that… and no room to eat since we were just bombarded with all the food at once… waitress didn’t even come check on us. DJ was terrible she would cut through songs hard and didn’t go with the crowd. I talked to a manger on the dance floor told him how dissatisfied we were … he did nothing. Finally we got the bill and we’re charged an automatic 18% gratuity on top of our bill the service was horrible and was not deserved. When we mentioned it to our server about everything that had happened she said she wasn’t aware! Well ya because you didn’t check on us and you got the tip probably why we got bad service because the tip was automatically on there so they probably don’t care. I work in the service industry and this was by far the worst experience I ever had.

Me and my friends decide to finally go back to dance and spend time together after this long pandemic situation and we are very happy about our choice. Marlowe Restaurant & Bar.
Nice ambience, good music and the nice waitress come took our order, she suggest the drinks we loved the drink menu, she was very polite and she made our night unforgettable. Thank you Marlowe, will definitely come again.

We were at Restaurant on Saturday night around 7pm, we did not have any reservation, they gives us nice table by the window. First we went to Maxies they said no table without reservation we got disappointed the way said by this company, that way we decided to dining in to Marlowe we are really appreciate Marlowe to give us a nice table and awesome service, we did the right choice. The nice waitress come took our order, she suggest the drinks we loved the drink menu, she was very polite and she made our night unforgettable. The food was great but the waitress showed a lot of sass towards us for no reason. Maybe she just expected that we should order alcohol, appetizers, main course and desserts? She was a rude person in general, I’m not sure why she’s working there if she hates her job.

I have been here couple times but last night i went with my company collaboration party, we had pre fix menu nd i tried their potato leak soup nd kind of braised ribs… i love it.i wish they have it on their regular menu. Great food

Great Guests experience yesterday at Marlowe Restaurant, we held a Christmas party at Marlowe Restaurant yesterday was amazing, wonderful service and delicious food, it is an amazing space for corporate events parties, and more. The service, ambience, and food were all excellent.

Be careful eating indoors at this establishment as I witnessed 3 different employees working inside the restaurant and not wearing masks. Two had masks on hanging around their chin and only pulled up when interacting with customers. It's too bad as the food was pretty good. Would give 4 stars if the employees followed COVID protocols indoors.

We had halloween party last night at marlow. The planner gave us wrong information regarding prices. The owner of marlow took action to fix the planner's mistake. Shout out to him.first of all Your resturant is so gorgeous, second of all you deserve 7 stars.thank you so much

Been there on Saturday night. The waitress was not helpful and somehow rude. Drinks were watery. At the end, she charged me extra for tips! No apology.

Went for dinner with wife, Great service Amina, and Megan, looked after everything beautifully. We ordered the combo appetizers platter which was brought to our table in like 5 mins…. And piping hot, food was delicious. For dinner we ordered chicken kebab on rice bed and raita, wife asked Amina to request Chef to Make it extra spicy, and he did…it was delicious. Also, Megan always made sure we had fresh utensils, and our drinks were fresh. With her Latte, my wife wanted Honey instead of Sugar, Amina made sure she found some. Also the dessert recommendation of Banana fritter amd ice cream was the best. Thanks for a great evening, we will be back!

I visted Marlowe Last Nithgt for my wife Birthday, we had a great time, out standing service and amazing food, my favourite dish (Juicy Lamb Shank and Chili Lime shrimp)

The experience was amazing and the food was top notch. Our server was so friendly and the atmosphere was very intimate. This is definitely a restaurant that you want to go to if you’re looking for a great high end experience.

Booked my birthday party here with my girlfriends. The place is so crowded and do loud, we could not hear each other, while sitting at the same table. The food is mediocre to say the least, overpriced and portion sizes are outrageously small. The music was okay at the beginning of the night but got worse very quickly and we didn't dance.
The clientele is 45+. When we were leaving, we saw two waitresses pouring liquor into each other's mouth straight out of bottles. Not a pleasant sight.
Did not like this place at all and would not recommend it to anyone else

I doesn't even serve a star. It was a terrible night, the workers here were very rude to me and the people invited. Not only that but they were unable to provide what was ordered and the second option would have taken way to long to be served. They could not handle the amount of people coming and over all me and the people invited were treated and spoken to poorly.
I couldn't get the name of the bold guy. If he's the manager he's the worst in treating people. He screamed at me saying that I was the one who was screaming and I was pointed at him.

We were there as a large group for a birthday party. I had always heard about this place but never been. It was a great experience. They’ve managed to make the space suitable for both dining and lounging. Great music, people dancing after 10pm and overall a great atmosphere. Our serve was Medya, she was super nice and friendly. The Chicken Pasta is to die for. My wife tried the pizza and that was also very tasty. Portions are generous and the prices are fair.
I’d recommend this place if you want to have great food and party at the same time.

I recently attended my friend's birthday bash at Marlowe Restaurant. I had a mouth-watering house salad dressed in balsamic vinegar and the atlantic salmon. Downside: A very busy parking lot with some paid stalls. I had to circle quite a few times in order to find a spot!

We were there last weekend and had a great time despite the tantrum some of the guests threw. My girlfriend pointed out the review from ‘Crystal Black’ is likely from the extremely rude people that were screaming profanities at the staff to push their way to better seats behind the dj.

They obviously had reservations in a different area and decided they wanted the vip seats behind the dj when they got there. We had legitimate reservations there and gave them up after we saw the abusive way they were treating the staff at the restaurant. Just embarrassing. Looks like they continued their attack on social media even after getting what they forecfully claimed.

Thank you to Marlowe’s staff for the great service and food, especially their event coordinator Tina who is one of the most professional yet personable people we’ve ever met. She really made our night there especial.

Everytime we have event with Marlowe, something goes wrong. Multiple emails and verbal conversations, they will blame you, say they "never said that" and not own up to their mistakes.
Their event manager Tina is a joke, she is rude, unprofessional and has zero experience doing her job. We had to correct her invoice, as she cannot add. Being hundreds of dollars off. Then proceed to tell us it never happened, until i showed the email. She should stick to being a waitress.

1 bartender for an event was fine if it didnt take her 15 mins for one order.
Thank god for our lovely servers or it would have been worse.
Never ever booking again.

I love to spend time in Marlowe. The resturant is both fancy and fun. I can have a great meal first and an hour later dance and have lots of fun. Specially Wednesday nights they have salsa training and dance that maks me to count down for that night all week. Recently I tried Friday night as well and it was even more fun. The most important point about Marlowe is its friendly atmosphere. When you go there for the second time you feel every body knows you and this means that they care about people and this is lovely for me.

This is our first time to visit this place, nice venue, more parking space and food except the music he always played the music that never understand and more rap which is sometimes its not appropriate in the dance floor, if he played English music as soon in the middle of the song he cut it off and change what he likes. I think it’s better to survey the customer if they really dancing and enjoying or they just standing waiting for good music. One of my friend requesting the title of the music but he never play. I always go to the bar and disco that’s why I have an idea about music remix but this one it looks like more on his country music and his age. He needs to open minded what is the majority age go for dancing and how they adapt the music and new songs. My friend went for dinner around 8pm but the food serve almost 10pm and around 12 midnight even still has a food in the plate there starting tidy up they look like in the hurry. That’s only my suggestion so that your customer satisfied especially people love to dance.

Very poor management style. Promised a spot close to entertainment while booking but when actually visited the place the spot was quite far and remote.

The staff told us tables are given in order of reservation, and first come first serve basis.
My question is this: i had specifically asked while doing reserving over the phone that I wanted a table close to the dance show. And i was told that it is a good spot. When I called on the day off to confirm they will be holding my table, they specifically reminded me about the dance show starting at 9 and I confirmed my good table arrangement. Only when I went there I found that I can't even see the dance floor to know there is one let alone a good view of entertainment to call it "good spot. " Why was I misinformed all along?

unfortunately when we got there, we were given seats as far as possible from the live show. Quite insulting especially after speaking to staff many times to confirm so many times about a good seating arrangement and the staff confirmed everytime.

If anyone is going for live entertainment while fine-dinning (ps: it is not a fine dinning ambience), this is not your place.

I’ve never had such terrible service with attitude. The server’s name was Uriy, he was rude to my wife when she asked to modify a food order based on a food allergy. Which every restaurant always does to get repeat customers. After our request, we waited 20 mins for our drinks and the place wasn’t busy at all. Our food took an additional half an hour and was luke warm with sloppy presentation. If been in the industry for 19 years and have NEVER been treated so poorly and talked down to. I strongly recommend not taking a chance in this disgusting establishment.

I always enjoy myself at Marlowe. The staff always makes me feel like family. I really like the service and my fav waitress is Amina. She always remembers what i wamt to drink amd how i like my stake.the fact that the staff shows that much interest in their clients.says alot. 5 star in my books.

I visited Marlowes on Saturday night to celebrate my birthday party. And our server, Amina was absolutely amazing! ! Im an extreme foody and i must say that the pizza and steak was off tbe chain.
Also, when it came to the dj announcing my special day it was a a great surprise absolute. Thank you so kindly for making my day so special! !

Not sure where to start.upon arriving to the restaurant, we were greeted by one of the cooks in a hairnet. He was acting as the host, and instructed the waitress where to sit us. We were seated in the same section as to where a table of 13 was throwing a birthday party. I'm not sure why.the restaurant was quite large and spacious, with a few diners scattered here and there.

The food didn't taste right either. Mussels and oysters didn't taste fresh. Caesar salad dressing tasted sour and linguine sauce was super bland. Each course to our meals also arrived at every 30 minute interval, after you're done with the previous dish. My mom got really tired of listening to clubbing music, while we waited for our food. Food was also delivered by the chefs. Not sure why, because the restaurant wasn't short staffed. Our waitress pretty much neglected us the entire evening. Service was so slow, and she never bothered checking up on us. As soon I was able to grab her attention, I asked for our coffee, cakes to go and the bill. She came back with the bill and the cakes, but didn't realize until the next day, she packed the wrong cakes! Coffee also took forever, because she had already forgotten about it. I asked for cream and sugar, and she came back with milk and sugar. I assured her it's ok, we don't want the cream anymore, because it would've been another long wait. She got pretty scary.and said she'll bring the cream, even though I repeatedly I said I didn't want it anymore.

It was a truly odd dining experience from beginning to end. I recommend this place if you enjoy loud music, have a lot of time and need a place to chill. You'll be dining here for a minimum of 2 hours, waiting for service.

Long waits, nothing special. The pizza cheese was the pre-packaged grated cheese, and the pizza sauce tasted like the canned variety. I was told that the food and service here was amazing so I came in with high expectations and was honestly underwhelmed by everything. Service was slow, no one stopped by to see how the food was, etc. Probably wouldn't come back.

My boyfriend and I decided to give Marlowe a try for the first time last Saturday night. I opted for the salmon which to my surprise was done quite nicely and not over cooked as they usually are. Kesha was our server.she provided punctual service without being overbearing and was friendly. Will definitely be coming back in the near future!
