Fantastic Vet and staff, needed last minute vax update for the dogs travel and they saved our tails. Thank you Martindale.

Our cat needed surgery ASAP and they came through! My cat is alive and doing well. We very much appreciate all they did for our Nala.

We got in quickly & phone person was very friendly. Did a good job on my cat. Never got to meet vet. Didn’t get my? Answered. I gave my? To reception for answers. When picking up cat no answers. Reception person was a bit off hand with me about it. Price was higher than quoted. I’m retired so that was rather upsetting. This wasn’t an emergency it was a standard neuter, injection, de worming so they knew what the price would be on the initial phone call. So I should have been given the real cost. So okay but a little disappointing.

Such a wonderful and friendly vet. We have 2 dogs and 2 cats that all go here. Dr. Armstrong is so great and clearly really cares about all the animals he sees

Dr Armstrong saved my dogs life AND he slept on a couch overnight to stay with him! Thats amazing! I know my pets are in good hands!

I was very impressed by staff, my pup ofcourse had to do a little tinkle even after making sure he had a walk before going in. I told them and it was np and cleaned up right away.

Dr. Shalla and the entire staff were wonderful when our pup Kashmir was spayed. We had to reschedule a few times due to work and they were understanding and accommodating! Kashmir’s incision has healed beautifully and we appreciate the friendly and professional service we received. Thank you!

My dog had an incident and hurt his leg. Martindale was able to squeeze us in the same day to make sure my boy was ok. Staff are always friendly and provide great care to our fur family. Highly recommend this vet to anyone wanting to make their pets health a priority.

This is one of the most accommodating vet clinics I have ever been in. We had an emergency situation where we needed our little guy vaccinated for kennel cough for this coming weekend.they fit us in and got it done! Talk about compassionate and caring people. The team has taken such good care of our dog Blue. This has been our vet for about 3 years now, taking on all kinds of questions. They have always done all they could for us. We are so thankful to have them looking after our Blue when she may not be feeling well.

New to area and my unwell senior dog is in need or urgent care. They refused to see her as only taking "new puppies and kittens". Girl who I spoke to was cocky and rude.

This place is great! The staff are super friendly and helpful. Our pet isn't even a patient here and they were super accomodating with what we needed for our furry little friend. I would definitely reccomend this vet.

Our kitty wasn’t feeling well. Dr. Armstrong and staff treated her that day as they were the city emergency vet then. Everyone was awesome and they helped for a very reasonable price considering this was a last minute visit. (They could have charge us a fortune, but didn’t) Don’t worry, trust your pet to the folks at Martindale. Thanks again, Annie seems to be feeling better.

The staff at Martindale Animal Hospital are amazing and very helpful! We have had to go twice now for emergency vet visits and both times were great!

The staff at this vet clinic are great. They always take care to ensure my tiny chihuahua is as comfy as he can be, which I love, the prices are reasonable and the care is top notch. They always answer any and all questions and give the best advice.

My only complaints (and reason for rating 4 stars instead of 5) are that:

1. It can be hard to get a hold of the office via phone. Not surprising since they are so busy, but I've found myself getting a little frustrated when trying to call for an appointment.

2. The ongoing construction of the new building on-site makes parking and getting around somewhat difficult to maneuver, so I just leave the car across the street. Heads up if you have mobility issues.

Besides these, I have nothing but praise for the Martindale Animal Hospital.

We have been coming here since my dog was a puppy and she is now 10. Dr. Sutter has always treated her and he's so kind, gentle and patient. Would always recommend this place!

This animal hospital is the absolutely best I've ever been to. Never went anywhere else after my first visit. The Drs and staff are so very caring and loving. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

They truly care about their patients. I received reminders for upcoming immunizations, and appointments which I appreciated in my busy life at the time. I'm no longer a client because my cat passed away, but I recommend them to anyone who needs a vet. They also accept the city's current coupon program.

I would love to give this place a 5 star rating because they were so good with my dog when she was really sick (she passed away last April). I called the other day to make an appointment to take my cat in since we think he may be diabetic and I was told that we were no longer clients. I felt really hurt by that since we spent a lot of money at this vet. I called everywhere else in the city and they were willing to either take us right away or wait a week and the prices were lower at certain vets but I wanted to take my cat here because this has been my vet for a while. It was going to take over a month to have my cat brought in here since they'd be accepting "new clients" at the end of the month. Ive never felt so disheartened. I'm thankful it wasnt an emergency situation that needed to be looked at right away but I'm now I'm unsure if I'll go back after that because that honestly really hurt my heart and made me feel awful.

Best vet in town, absolutely love the service here. Never rushed, always a througho explanation and affordable rates. And they care about the pets as much as the owners. Highly recommend.

Martindale animal hospital is a great place to bring your pet! Dr. Armstrong is a caring Dr. We have been taking our pets there for 28 years!

The staff are very pleasant, friendly, and helpful. Dr. Armstrong is extremely knowledgeable and patiently explains all options to you. The costs are also fair and reasonable. I would definitely recommend.

Always amazing! Everyone there is extremely kind and helpful and their fees are very reasonable. I always have and always will take my pets there.

We moved from Toronto and had to find a new vet. After careful consideration we choose Martindale. Our dog had surgery and Dr. Armstrong and staff were amazing. He even called at 7pm Saturday night to give us results. They even trimmed his nails! Thank you again team Martindale, you rock!

Not professional. They had no one waiting, (I went in as soon as they opened looking for any availability) and wouldn’t take an emergency situation with my cat bleeding without an appointment. Did not offer any availability for an appointment. DISGUSTING. Baxter Animal hospital is where you need to go! People that actually care and got me in by 2pm!

Dr. Armstrong is an amazing veterinarian that is in it for all of the right reasons. He genuinely cares about the animals he cares for, you can see it in his face any time there is cause for concern or cause for relief. He will always be honest with you, but never pushy, and he doesn't try to sell you something high priced, he's in it for your pets care, not your wallet.

I knew I was sticking with him when within the first few minutes of meeting one of my cats, he had her on her back in his arms rubbing her belly. She Hates people.

A lot of my friends are with him, among us we have nine cats that happily see Dr. Armstrong.

The place is a bit small and it can get raucous if there's a few furry visitors waiting, but everyone is seen in a timely fashion.

Amazing with both my dogs. Will not do tests unless needed and always honest. Has not only helped my dogs with emergencies but also saved us a fortune.

They listen and give ypu time if you need it always a smile and they care about all your fur babies my dogs here one has to go there and they get excited to go went to other hospitals and babies cryed when getting needles but not a peep when they get them now and they have saved my one cat from death

We are so lucky to have our dogs in the care of Dr. Armstrong and the team at Martindale! He always goes above and beyond, is an incredible doctor, and it is clear how much they all genuinely care about their four legged patients. After our food crazy lab got into something she shouldn’t have he was very attentive, squeezing her in despite a fully booked schedule, and caring for her overnight on the long weekend. She is a very nervous dog to begin with but we were completely at ease knowing the care she was getting and she came home happy and full of her usual personality! We are so grateful and wouldn’t bring our dogs anywhere else. This is by far the best vet practice I’ve ever been to - they are always attentive, reasonable and incredibly trustworthy. Thank you for all that you do for our babies!
