Martindale Kennels

This kennel is the best one we have found in the Niagara region. I have a large male Rottweiler and they are very good with him. I never worry about his care.

Our two guys Ollie and Quinn love it here and we feel happy to go away knowing that they are well taken care of.

I can’t say enough about Martindale kennels for both boarding and training. They are truly amazing and care so much about the animals. Everyone at the kennel is so friendly…they have been a real treasure find for me because I have a reactive dog and have had a lot of trouble finding a place to board Ollie. He gets so excited every time we get close to the kennel and I know that he loves it there. They are so affectionate with him and I also know he is safe and other dogs are safe when he is there. I have to finish by mentioning the incredible trainer Renee who has done wonders for Ollie. I joke with her that she is the Canadian dog whisperer… the support and care that I’ve gotten from Renee all through the process has been truly amazing. I can text her with any question and she is always there to give me advice. Thank you Renee and Leah for doing what you do. I am so grateful for you two and would highly highly recommend either boarding or training with this great family owned business. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I was very disappointed with my dog’s last stay. I picked him up and my white dog was yellow because he was covered in his own pee. They said he peed on the cage bars and pushed his face through. His paws and tail were yellow as well. They charged $200 for the long weekend stay and asked if I wanted to book a grooming to clean him up. Wow. I also left treats to give him while he was there and they all came back. Not going back, poor puppy.

***just an update that the owner called me and sincerely apologized. She explained they were not ok with this and would do their best to correct it. I have to give her a lot of credit for being so professional about it and giving an amazing follow up.

My apologies for forgetting the name of the lovely woman who greeted us and groomed Tessa’s nails/paws. She was wonderfully congenial, accommodating and professional. I greatly appreciated her pointing out some paw pad irritations, so that I could be sure to treat them.

I've been searching for a kennel to board my high energy border collie/sheltie cross. Gracie has been at Martindale Kennels twice now. The staff are welcoming, kind, caring and compassionate. They respond quickly to phone calls and texts. Gracie has come home smiling both times and staff always say how sweet she is! Thank you Martindale for taking such great care (and time!) with my fur baby!

Renee is an amazing trainer. We just finished 8 of one on one training with my German shepherd and his is a much better dog because of it. Renee is very thorough and her attention to detail is amazing. I would highly recommend her to everyone with a dog. Don't wait till your dog misbehaves like we did. Renee helped us get Duke back on track and be the pet we want him to be. Such an amazing service and great people to work with.

My dog's first time at the kennel went great. The staff was very welcoming and answered all the questions I had. The facility was clean. My dog was well taken care of and she did not have any behavior problems after her stay.

This is such a wonderful boarder. It's obvious they really care about your animal as much as you do while they are in their care. Welcoming, trust worthy and kind people work here. Parker is a pretty nervous rescue dog and it's not easy to leave him with just anyone but he doesn't mind coming here too much! 10/10 recommend!

The staff here so are incredibly friendly, that I never feel nervous leaving dogs here. When I call in for an update, they always gush about how cute my dogs are.and who doesn't want to hear that? 10 out of 10 - would recommend them to anyone that has a dog, and looking for a place that gives them peace of mind, when they have to board their dogs.

I have been bringing Duke here off and on for 2 years. He is treated like family and absolutely adores the staff. He squeals when we pull in the driveway, he's so excited. He doesn't even look back at me anymore.

Have boarded our dogs here 2 times now, they have been amazing at making sure they feel at home and with listening to their needs.

So kind, so patient and welcoming! My babies have done a day stay and an overnight. I'm very picky and unwilling to leave my babies with just anyone. They seem to be in good hands here

Been going there for years always excellent service I have a jack russel and tends to be a challenge but I muzzle her and the girls are great with her she is a bit spicy

Love this place my girl was having trouble with grooming and they took the time to get her comfortable and she has no trouble now at all!

Amazing place! I think they had good time in the pass three days. My baby dogs Phoenix and Dragon really enjoy hotel (boarding) time. They were taken care of stuffs very well. This is also a very professional dog training program.

People are nice here, it took a while to get our kitties set up (even though we filled out thorough information through the online application) and getting out at end of day took 15-20 min. Overall good experience with this kennel. Would return.
Although one downside is the overwhelming smell of dog but they make apparent efforts of cleanliness.

She always looks gorgeous after being groomed.

Martindale kennels is great we take our little French bulldogs there when we go spend some time away from home. Friendly staff and a nice place to take your pets for boarding

I am extremely happy and satisfied with how well my dog and cats are taken care of when boarding. The staff are knowledgeable, kind, and patient with all my questions. The grooming services are super. I always get compliments on my furry bestie’s cut. Both cats received a nail trim while boarding. The dog training with Renee was a perfect investment. Training with Renee was exactly what my dog needed. He was having behavioural issues. With her training and consistency problems solved. Martindale staff are the best!

First time boarding here. Super amazing，we picked up Timber and when we arrived home we found they gave her a super professional nail trim，and we doubted they might even give her a bath since her hair looks so fresh and clean Even more they cleaned her collar！！！！I have never been to such a good boarding place before. I cannot say how appreciate and grateful I am for the friendly and lovely staff. We were worried about Timber not eating her food but the staff took away all worries. I really want to say thank you for Martindale Kennel.

Martindale Kennels are through when it comes to checking a pets vaccine records, l applaud that.
My Maltese Luna was very well taken care of while we were away.
