Mary Brown's Chicken & Taters

I use the drive thru a lot. Always fast and efficient. Service is quick and easy. They treat their customers great. Love going here. Thanks, guys, for the great service

Beyond disappointed with the wait time at drive thru. First off at least let person know you will be right with them. Secondly, waiting over 20 minutes in drive thru when no cars ahead nor busy inside. 3 times we have gone and today got fed up waiting to have order taken so son went in. 20 minutes later. Ridiculous as 1 other customer in store. No excuse for the lack of customer service. Very frustrated with our 3 last experiences.

This was the third week in a row that the chicken burgers were awful. They were obviously cooked earlier and only reheated when we ordered. The lettuce was sparse and brown. Not enough mayo. The taters were chewy instead of crunchy. Again, probably reheated.

It was a nice experience satisfied with the Crispy chicken and great taters in every bite.

Worst service ever. They went there no know attended us all 3 employee saw us but no one attended us.

Very poor service. Attendant had poor English skills, had to repeat oder several times and she still couldn't get it right. Double charged us for our meal. Never darkening their door again. Very poor representation of what in other areas of Canada is a NFLD institution.

Good service. Cooked well. Nice batter. Big Mary had No flavour. Did not care for the Wedges

Good food and service was great.
Only two small faults, wedges could've been a little hotter and I asked for mayo on one side of Big Mary and I got a dab only on one side. Note: they had two big Uber Eats orders on either side of mine, may have been the issue. Will go back still.

Great experience at Mary Brown’s on Landsdowne. Chicken fingers are huge. Taters are seasoned perfectly. Everything was very hot and fresh. Staff were friendly and efficient. Definitely recommend.

The staff were great, clean area, everyone was wearing their mask and had gloves on. Food taste great as always

Lunch time was busy, everyone was patient and kept their distances. My Chicken on a bun was hot, crispy and a fresh bun. The order taker was super organized and pleasant.

Ordered mary brown's off skip while I was at work last week. Ordered a medium potato wedge and a shareable banana pudding was charged for a shareable pudding was given a small (piece different large 7.27 small 3.99 plus tax.) Usually I wouldn't care if it was a small amount of money difference but this pudding was not worth 7.27

Business only hires foreign workers or students. They want us to buy local but they won't hire local. Hire local people

My family and I had an 8 pack of chicken, fries and macaroni salad for the first time from Mary Brown's Chicken.

The quality was sub par. All the talk about how good it was did not live up at all. It's more expensive and nothing to write home about.

The fries were soggy (though we ate in the parking lot). The chicken was mediocre and the macaroni salad was so fake tasting

I was definitely disappointed.

We wouldn't go here again.

Mary Brown's told me to contact them to tell them about my bad experience with their restaurant. They never replied to my email. They just say to contact them to keep up a good online appearance. So not only is the restaurant and food poor, but the customer service is too! Avoid going to this restaurant.

Everyone hyped up Mary Brown's chicken. I prefer KFC. The chicken skin is better at KFC. The "spicy" option at Mary's is pretty spicy but not good flavour. Made it so we couldn't taste the rest of the meal well. However before ruining my taste buds I confirmed the macaroni salad isn't as good as KFC and the fries not as good either. Also fries were somewhat soggy even though the food was very fresh. Service was good, fast, friendly, helpful. Not worth the extra bucks compared to the dirty bird (KFC).

I definitely feel like they need more staff on their eventful days (like Big Mary Monday), drive thru, store, mobile orders, and skip the dishes were all wanting food all at once on Monday, and it was only like 3: 30, not even a dinner rush. Poor girl was taking drive thru orders, doing window, helping with the front counter, organizing food orders. Great, hard workers, could just use extra help.

Foods fine, no consistency to the actual service though. Maybe you'll pay for a bottle and get a can because it's what they got, maybe you need to go get a lotto ticket because you ordered a can but they only had bottles.

Rest assured you'll just be charged 'whatever'.

My family love Mary Brown's foods over KFC or Popeyes (the others are good), my family just love the flavor from MB. So we visit this location every week to give me a break from my cooking.

If I could give this location 10 stars rating for customer satisfaction I would.

The owner reached out to find out the reasons my initial rating was low without a comment. I explained in a long detailed email. He responded and apologized for human errors.

His emails and personal phone call to understand my rating was so touching. It shows how much he cares for his business, his team and his customers.

I like giving my business to locals and appreciate great customer service a great deal.

First off, so glad they have moved back into our city. Their chicken is awesome! I had recently the spicy chicken sandwich. First off.it is spicy! But absolutely awesome! Total awesome. I will be back soon!

Drive thru service is super slow but the food is always delicious. Make sure to grab a big Mary on Mondays. They are always cheaper!

Incorrect food was delivered to us. When I called to explain, the young woman answered the phone and said "oh yeah! That was my fault! " Well, thank you for the confession. But rather than offering to fix the issues she simply then said "I have to ask if we can fix this, give me your phone number and I'll call you back. " Surprise surprise. Still haven't heard back from them. Partial refund through Skip, but that means I'm still out a significant amount of money for food that was incorrect (and apparently it was known it was incorrect) for the delivery and because of the nature of the error (and of course lack of callback) we instead had to order pizza. So, I had to pay for some food that wasn't enough for the family (a whole 9 piece was missing) and delivery, to have to order pizza anyway and the restaurant never called to sort it out. Mistakes happen, but its what you do with those mistakes that really speak to an experience. This experience was terrible and unfortunately not worth the risk of and expensive non-meal that I will have to supplement with pizza anyway to return for another try.

Best chicken I have had in awhile. Great taste, hot and fresh. Ordered a side of gravy that was delicious, but a little on the cold side. Only complaint.will be back!

Had a Big Mary chicken sandwich for the first time and it was good. The bun wasn't squished and it had just the right amount of mayo, lettuce and crunch from the crispy outer layer of the chicken which was moist and not dry. I think I would like another please. Yummy.

Drive-thru was fast. Could have ate after in the line cause there was nobody behind and never seen another can. Had a spicy chicken burger which was really spicy hot. I would say hotter than KFC and Wendy's. Good thing I got the meal with a chocolate milk. The onion rings that came with meal were good but no zesty cheese sause like burger King but they were good and not soaked with oil. The person I was with got a 5 piece chicken tender, they were pretty big the container was little small for them but were not complaining. He said the chicken was cooked well and not over done. In all if you are sick of waiting in lineups at Drive-thru then I would give this place a look see.

Normally Mary Browns is a great place to get good food, but tonight sadly this wasn't quite the case. We pulled into the drive thru around 6: 50 and placed our order (Two 4 piece meals). We were told we'd have to wait about 10-15 minutes for chicken as they were out and cooking more, so they had us pull around to the front of the store and wait While we waited 5 other vehicles pulled through and got their orders no problem and 5-6 Skip the Dishes drivers walked in and picked up their orders. At 7: 15 my fiance went in to see what was going on and we were told that they were just getting our order ready now. And she still had to wait for a few minutes while the pulled the order together. Now I know not everyone gets just chicken at Mary Browns. But you'd think that if they are out of chicken for our order, that no one else should get chicken until the first order has been filled. It's this kind of service that makes me wonder if there will be a next time

Big Mary Monday's a big deal great chicken sandwich recommended highly. Service can be a little slow because it's a popular day.

I'm glad I tried it, wasn't bad, though I found the quality a little worse than the Popeyes down the road, and a little more expensive at that. Poor selection of dip for a chicken based restaurant.

Whoever the attendant at the drive thru is at night, please pay attention to your orders. I asked for a large item and they had to ask again at the window. I asked for gravy, but they forgot to add the gravy to the meal. ‍️

First time at this location. Chicken was very greasy oil dripped off. Spice was over the chicken in chunks I became very sick after eating half of the chicken.never going back

Visited Peterborough location with myself, wife and 3 kids. Good to see that location is serving halal chicken. Friendly and cooperative staff. Had some issues in Mary Spicy Burger, they checked and replaced with no arguments.
I'm comparing Mary Brown signature burgers with recently launched Popeyes Chicken Sandwich and I must say Popeyes Chicken Sandwich is much better. Mary Browns burgers were cold, breads were of normal quality. Waffle Fries were amazing.

First time ordering from them and the whole fam was pretty satisfied. Great chicken, potato wedges are delicious.

I'm a skip driver so I'm in there during virus to pick up. So clean, stand behind barrier line, I saw guy sanitize his hands before bagging the order after prepared. Also nice staff. Food looks yum. Good job Mary Browns!

Pretty good chicken and would be my choice rather than driving to further chicken restaurants. I would pick others if they were closer.

The chicken here is our most favorite in town. The service is as good as they can get. Seems they are short staffed often but it doesn't stop us from waiting an extra minute for great chicken. Staff is friendly and they work hard so cannot blame them for the understaffed restaurant. They need an extra person. Hint hint corporate.

The staff is consistently friendly, helpful and efficient. I highly recommend it to folks looking for good food in a pleasant environment.

Best chicken in the industry. Best tasting, good prices AND CANADIAN! It is ny go-to place for chicken. LIVE the chicken tenders most!

Best fried chicken you'll ever find! And the taters are unbelievable! They have a light, crispy breading and the potatoes melt in your mouth. Soooo yummy! The staff is usually very friendly, the drive-through is convenient and they always have great sales and promotions on. It's ten times better than KFC! And the portions are generous too. It's one of my favourite fast-food restaurants.

Came here last night for dinner with the family our food came out pretty faster then normal. Food was great, pretty pricey but thats normal for mary browns. The staff was 50/50 the younger cashier really looked like she loved being there, very outgoing and positive i even tipped her she was very patient with my deaf grandma. The elderly cashier lady seemed like she didnt want to be there which bought down the whole mood of the place.

Came in for their Monday deal, lady waved us away cause they were closed for some reason lol now I don't know whether to try them at lunch again, could be closed again lol/ showed up at 11: 10am door was locked again.
