The water leakage caused high extra fee during summer vacation when no one was in the unit. First the maintenance team lied about the cause of leakage, then they said they've contacted Metergy Solution to resolve the matter, in the end Metergy still sent credit company to collect the extra fee caused by leakage. Dishonest business ran by a group of dishonest people. For anyone who is considering to move in, jusy don't. For the current tenant, always keep an eye on your metergy usage chart or you might end up paying 800 cad for water usage.

To Craft Property group who runs Masonville Yards, if you wanna resolve this, contact me via e-mail. I used to live in unit1123 and I'm sure you have my email address in record. If you keep ignoring that's fine, few hundred dollar isn't that much, and I'll surely share this story among students of Western University, especially newly arrived Chinese international students who will be seeking for place to stay.

I've never lived at Masonville yards. Never lived in Ontario. Never lived in Canada yet somehow my email has been used by someone and I never stop receiving emails from this property management organization. I was even copied in a long tenant dispute with the management. I cannot seem to reach anyone because mailboxes are full and calls are not answered. I just want my email address removed from their contact list.

GUYS IF U THINK ABOUT LIVING HERE DONT. They literally take advantage of students and steal your money. It’s not worth it at all.they OWE US $3000 dollars. We transferred the lease to a group of guys in April so we moved out, but they still charged us the rent for may when they were not supposed to. They also charged May’s rent to the guys. They haven’t give us the money back.
Also when we first sign the lease they asked us to deposit them the last 4 months of rent in advance, they were supposed to give us that money back because we transferred the lease and they never did. THEY OWE US A LOT. They will take any opportunity to steal you

Their construction team left wet paint on the wall and destroyed my backpack. They promised if I bought a new one they'd pay me back and promised to send a check to my house and since then they have been ignoring my emails. Also, my time living here sucked. They also gave my friend a gift card to write a good review so idk how much I trust the rest of the good reviews on here. Do not recommend.

One of the worst companies to deal with. We have had this apartment now for the 4th year. Without warning they increased the price from 1000 to 1500 and new fees for Wi-Fi. They are quick to collect the rent, no receipt of payment is given. Cannot reach anyone to address our concerns. No calls are answered. Since they are in a university city, they are surviving by treating tenants badly. I will never recommend this place to anyone. Bunch of unprofessional unethical, rude people are running the show

Wow you said the letter was left at the doorstep, for your information we never occupied the apartment due to COVID and lessons at the university were on line. May be you should find a better way to communicate.

This review was done way before I could reach someone in your office. Fancy you mentioned to call your office to resolve any issue, no calls are answered. As for the receipt, after the call, a week later I called once again and only then a receipt was sent.

I’ve been living here for almost two months and it’s not been a great experience. The price for this place is so NOT WORTH IT!

The front desk people are so so rude and only reply with attitude. They don’t want to help you with anything….
The dryer has been broken since we moved in and they won’t bother to fix it. So been having to air dry everything which shouldn’t be happening. Other people I know from their apartments have the same exact issue.
There is black mold in the toilet since before we moved in as well…
I’m sure I could list more things wrong with this place but you get the gist.

Absolutely horrible experience. I've only been living here for a few months and have already run into a multitude of problems. Firstly, reception is super unnecessarily rude. Don't bother asking them for anything, they only respond with attitude. All receptionists at masonville yards I've encountered don't want to help with anything and actually do their jobs. Secondly, maintenance takes forever to come and fix anything. We moved into the apartment with several things broken and its been 4 months and we haven't heard back. I had to march down to the head office and speak directly to maintenance. Lastly, the apartment doesn't accept packages due to liability issues. This is completely understandable, however, they also don't help delivery men find your specific apartment. Thus, many of my packages go undelivered and one has even been stolen. All in all, if I'm paying this much to live here, I expect way better management service and attitude.

I would have given zero stars if it is possible. Poor experience in terms of security, people stole delivered goods, receptionist does not care. My advice is that if you stay here, either don't order any online delivery or prepare to have goods being stolen.

Most useless management ever. AC hasn’t worked properly all summer. There’s repairs every week, one for beams bc apparently they’ve been falling on people? This building is literally falling apart and it hasn’t even been 2 years. Go anywhere else

I'm at Masonville for about four months now, and I love being here. The good thing about Masonville is that they are so cooperative. Leon at the front desk is so helpful and kind. They are corresponding to their tenant's needs. Masonville is a perfect place for students since it is all furnished, the location is good, the building is new and clean, which is of high importance.

Lovely furnished units in a well kept building. But best of all the staff is extremely helpful and competent. I cannot say enough good things about the thorough, responsive, and pleasant assistance I received from Atharva Kulkarni from beginning to end. Excellent property management staff made our experience really wonderful.

Positive reviews are likely from fake accounts, terrible service and management. Never refunded the $50 key deposit to anyone account, they’re scammers and they know it. Management (especially Peter and Tina) should be replaced

Masonville Yards is a lovely place to live! The location is great - right by grocery stores, Masonville, and the bus stop to get to campus. The suite is really clean and modern, and there's also great amenities. Management is easy to reach and in particular, Atharva helped me a ton throughout the entire move-in process. He made the move-in process so smooth and answered all the questions I had very clearly.

Definitely the WORST management team. I would give negative stars if I could. I was on my lease transfer process with them and I have all the paper work ready. I sent the lease through email and got no response. I waited for a week, emailed them everyday but heard nothing back. I had to go to London to their office and they transferred my lease in five minutes. DONT YOU THINK I HAD BETTER THINGS TO DO ON THAT DAY?
That was not the end of my story. I found out that they kept charging me for monthly rent even though I already transferred my lease. IS IT LEGAL TO KEEP MY CARD INFORMATION? The new tenant is a very sweet person and we have to contact each other for the rent. It took them another a few days to remove my pre-authorized payment.
If you are charging more than other condos, provide better service. Read my story and avoid this company.

A parent here. My son & 3 friends were in the midst of signing a lease for 2021-22 when the lease was suddenly voided (in July). After 19 days & 5 agents' involvements, we were told that due to one agent's error, the rooms were already signed by another party. No apologies, no resolutions, no further contacts. Four students left without a place to live & the panic begins again with less than 4 weeks before school starts. I reached out to Gillian, who I had correspondence with when my son resided at Luxe. Then, Gillian was exceptionally responsive & had addressed concerns promptly & efficiently. I only requested for Gillian to follow up on this mistake & inquired for a resolution, but to my disappointment & surprise, no response yet (6 weeks). My message to Craft Property Management Team: Please know that your carelessness & errors have caused much stress. YOU can't be treating these kids (and others from a handful of other similar reviews) like they don't matter. Not owing up to your mistakes isn't only lacking professionalism, but it's also unacceptable & it's outrageously dishonorable to sweep your errors away. Masonville Yards may be THE place to live, but management needs to manage with integrity & top notch customer service, like you pride yourselves to have. I truly hope you will take this review to heart, examine, review & change the way you manage the students in your community.

We've been living here since September 2020 and our experience thus far has been just shy of satisfactory. We understand that there have been some major setbacks with the construction of the building due to COVID-19, which is why the building is still not yet complete. Our only major problem so far has been with the A/C in our unit. For a couple of weeks we were only getting a heating option on our thermostat, so the temperature would never drop below 24 degrees no matter what we set it to. I decided to approach the managers in the office to discuss our issue and they dealt with it immediately. They told us that the problem derived from an issue with the parts that were used when the HVAC company installed the A/C units, however a technician came up into our room with the manager that I spoke with directly and our issue was resolved within 30 minutes and we now have working A/C. The managers are great at prioritizing serious issues if you approach them directly. This place is really great for young people with dogs as well! The building and its staff are very accommodating for fur friends and the cleaning ladies love our 10 month old golden retriever. We have noticed that some dog owners do not pick up after their pets outside, however that is mostly out of the control of the building staff. Lastly, it would be nice to get a refund for the portion of our rent that goes towards amenities since they are unusable at the moment, but not a bad place to live.

I am changing my review because of the manager (Gill) at Masonville, she resolved all the issues at once. In start of my lease there were issues but with her as manager it was sorted out.
Overall building is nice and peaceful.

I should have written this a long time ago, but as they say better late than never - I want to give a HUGE shoutout to Atharva the leasing manager who has been in a nutshell OUTSTANDING since the onset of my journey from this past January on securing a unit for my daughter and her 2 roommates. My daughter and her 2 friends will be moving into Masonville Yards this coming Fall for school, and it would be their first time venturing out on their own in their new accommodations. Being a typical protective parent, I had tons of questions about the condo, and from beginning to present Atharva has always been not only patient, but extremely knowledgeable, helpful, supportive and very responsive to all my queries, emails and phone calls.and trust me I had a lot of them, lol.

I cannot say more than Amazing things about Atharva, he is a 5 STAR individual and Masonville is so lucky to have him as we are!

For students this building is pretty perfect. The rooms come fully furnished with high end appliances and really nice furniture. The gym is 10/10. The games rooms has ping pong, pool, foosball, and arcades. Study rooms are awesome too. Would definitely recommend living here, even if it's a little more expensive.

Really nice building and the staff are really nice. In particular Atharva, he consistently is available to help with any questions that I have. He went above and beyond to ensure my renewal went smoothly and quickly resolved any issues I had.

My roommates and I admire and appreciate his hard work.

Their service was awful! Especially for the leasing office. And be careful, they didn’t include all things at second year, which means you need to pay the heat, water, electricity, and internet by yourself! Don't choose this building, to be honest.

I had a great experience at Masonville Yards last year and re-signed for next year without hesitation. While the amenities and units are great, what sets them apart is their service. Particularly that of Gill, who is a part of the management team for the building. She was very helpful throughout the year and very approachable whenever my roommates and I had any questions/concerns. Looking forward to September.

Gillian Heidary was extremely helpful when to came to securing a unit. She was responsive, and provided excellent service. She was able to answer all my questions and went above and beyond to satisfy my needs. Would highly recommend speaking to her if you have any questions!

I am a relatively new tenant and have found Masonville Yards a nice place to call home. The building is beautifully designed and conveniently located and it offers many attractive features for students (e.g, furnished suites, study room, gym, leisure room, shuttle bus to Loblaws). All the staff are very professional, friendly and helpful. It has been a great experience living here so far, and I would highly recommend it to students and young professionals!

I love living at Masonville Yards! The building amenities are state-of-the-art, the location is perfect, and the General Manager Gillian Heidary made our lease signing and move-in process as seamless as possible! I could not recommend a better place for university students to live:)

Really enjoyed living in the building. Great apartment for students, as the units come fully furnished. Met so many friends throughout my time at Masonville, and really enjoyed living there. Gonna miss it. Staff was also very helpful, Gill especially, was a huge help. She is always on top of things, and she significantly contributed to our overall experience while living in the building.

I am a first year student at Western and this apartment surpasses every student housing I've come across. Masonville has fantastic staff that are available whenever you need and security 24/7 (which makes me feel extremely safe). I am a very active person; however, with all the expenses of university, paying for a gym membership is out of my budget. Masonville has a beautiful gym with windows that let in natural light in the basement (along with a sauna in the change rooms). In addition, the games room is absolutely stunning. They have anything from classic arcade games to solid wood ping pong and pool tables. The location is stellar for university students as I am in walking distance to the Masonville Mall, Loblaws, Staples, BestBuy, and a variety of restaurants/pubs. Western is only a 30 minute walk and about 3 minute drive from the condo. However, if you don't have a car and don't want to walk, Masonville offers a shuttle bus directly to different locations on campus. The condos are fully furnished with unique and timeless pieces and have hardwood floors throughout (which I love because carpet is a pain). I am signing a lease again for next year because I have had such an amazing experience!

Honestly the building is nice but the furniture is low quality, OVERPRICED and was broken when we moved in. Management responds selectively to certain questions and takes 3 weeks to respond to emails. The leasing office also gives false information and information is not consistent amongst different managers. Overall, terrible customer service experience with Masonville Yards and it is very frustrating. It seems like management only cares about collecting rent and not actually caring about tenants.: (

I have been living in masonville yards since September 2020. The building is very nice and in a great location. However, speaking from personal experience, the staff seem to be very disorganized. They are not very responsive when contacted via email and often seem to have misinformation. The building is also very loud, which is often inconvenient for students who are trying to study or who are on a zoom call.
