Massage Addict

I recently had an extremely frustrating experience at Massage Addict that compels me to write my very first review, and it's not going to be a positive one. On October 7th, I booked a massage appointment over the phone, and being a first-timer, I was not informed of the differences between a therapeutic massage and a deep tissue massage. Unfortunately, I ended up with a therapeutic massage when I had explicitly requested a deep tissue one. I understand that part of the responsibility lies with me for not knowing the difference, but my dissatisfaction was apparent.

After that initial experience, I made it a point to clarify my preference for a deep tissue massage during the booking process. I informed Christina, the receptionist, about my previous experience and explicitly requested a deep tissue massage for my next appointment. She assured me that it would be taken care of.

Fast forward to today, October 17th, and I was shocked to find out that I was once again booked for a therapeutic massage when I had made it crystal clear that I wanted a deep tissue massage. I was disappointed beyond words and left without experiencing yet another unsatisfactory appointment.

It is incredibly frustrating to encounter such a lack of attention to customer requests and preferences. I believe that when a customer provides specific instructions and preferences, they should be respected. I had to find a babysitter so that i could treat myself. I'm deeply dissatisfied with the service I received, or rather, didn't receive, and I will be hesitant to return for another appointment in the future. If you are looking for a place that values customer satisfaction and pays attention to your requests, I would recommend exploring other options.

By far the best relaxation massage by Oksana! She is a gifted masseuse.
As requested she focused on my back and feet and did such an amazing job that I gently drifted into deep sleep in the process.

Note: She isn't a chatty person which is ideal for someone like me who prefers a tranquil massage.

Hello. I have benefits from work for massage. How can I take advantage of benefits? What percentage should I pay?

My wife wad charged 50$ for not showing up we had appointment for both of us, I couldn't make it they didn't tell her about the charge till after she got the service done.

The receptionist who picked my call today, 13th August 2023 around 11am is very terrible. She's very rude, doesn't care to listen, talks and doesn't pay attention to details of what you are saying. She couldn't even listen to book an appointment.

My experience with Massage Addict else where wasn't this bad. I have enjoyed the service, however, this particular front desk person is very disappointing and will create a bad reputation for the business.

Have had acupuncture with Jackie twice now, I went in for sciatic nerve pain and she ended up fixing some other issues as well. I would recommend her!

Best services in the town. I went for prenatal massage. It was a great experience. The staff is very supportive. Already booked my next session.

Caralyn is amazing! I had her for the first time today and she did a fantastic job on the sore muscles in my shoulder. Hands down the best massage I’ve ever received and the area feels better than it’s felt in years- even after physio therapy. I can not recommend her enough. She knows what she’s doing!

Wish I could give zero stars. Horrible experience for my husband. Racism is alive and well in Kitchener which is no surprise. My husband was turned away from his first appointment and referred to as "that man" and told he needs someone else. It's understandable that mistakes happen and if you don't provide the service he booked but there should still be common decency. After connecting to local Facebook groups it seems this is fairly common for this location.
-Update- Oksana was the therapists name and from a very brief look around she is known for her unprofessionalism and rudeness towards customers.

I had my first massage appointment with Hillary and she was wonderful. I will definitely be returning!

I haven't been able to get a direct answer on booking an appointment. I emailed and explained the difficulty I have speaking on the phone. More than one person answers the emails and gave conflicting information, used my wrong name, and I've yet to be able to book an appointment. My emails have been answered out of order and I'm starting to wonder if I'll ever actually get to book. I found this clinic looking at the Rainbow Health Ontario website, and while the therapist I want to see may be safe, this clinic doesn't seem equipped to deal with queer and trans folks at all. I wasn't going to leave a review but when my lastest email from them was a response to an older email with more conflicting information I felt this was my only means of complaint.

They don’t give the service they charge for. My massage experience was really bad. I have assigned a old lady and she was so so rude

I had a great experience with Steve! Extremely friendly, super knowledgeable and was able to relax all my sore overworked muscles! The receptionist was very lovely, helpful and went above and beyond what I expected during my visit:)

I love the fact that Massage Addict is more than massage. Gayathri does my acupuncture, Heather does my Chiropractor treatments, and Ellen does my massage. All 3 ladies have worked together to help fix my shoulder issues. Each bring their expertise to help me. They are amazing & go above & beyond.

Went here on whim as my usual place was booked up. Well Oliver did the most amazing deep tissue massage I’ve ever had. Will definitely be going back!

Have had issues with neck. Seen chiropractor for problems. Saw Oliver Dasey Springer at massage addict first for lower back pain. While there he worked on neck. Was blown away how much he helped neck. Recently had neck in spasm for 2 weeks while away. Saw Oliver upon return home and had problem fixed in one day. Love what this man can do with his hands. ;)

This was the worst experience I’ve ever had. The massage therapist acted as if they couldn’t care less. They used hardly any lotion so their hands felt like sandpaper. They also clearly had no experience because it was an awful massage. My eyes were swollen almost shut after the massage and all the massage therapist said was “But how do you feel? ” And pointed to their shoulders.

All I can say is please stay far away from this place if you don’t want to feel dismissed and like you don’t matter.

Amazing experience! Booked a massage for the first time with Oksana for neck and shoulders and upper back, she is kind, respectful and receptive to your needs. I felt great after my massage and the pain was gone with just one session. The front desk staff is also very friendly, hassle free billing and payments. The rooms are relaxing and plenty of therapists to choose from. Overall, would definitely recommend for massages.

Unprofessional don't even know the basic of massage poor technique just waist of time and money never recommended to go these places

I had 3 massages and will not return. They are over charging for less qualified and experienced massage therapists.
