I was very impressed again, 3 days ago, with the friendly, competent service I routinely receive at Master Mechanic. I have dealt mainly with Craig and find him to be an outstanding technician and person. I highly recommend Master Mechanic Leaside!

I've been going to Leaside Master Mechanic for about 15 years now with Honda's, Subaru's and others and they always come through. They are professional, reliable, efficient, and friendly. Absolutely no upselling and they are patient in explaining issues and options to clients. A strong recommend!

Sometimes they have a backlog so getting an appointment is difficult, but it’s worth the wait for the excellent, HONEST service.

Shamefully long overdue. We’ve been customers for a number of years and can’t say enough about the service we’ve received. Top of the line! Staff consistently hit all the marks they strive for. “Outstanding customer service in an environment of trust, fairness and respect”. Add to that friendliness skill and professionalism what more could you ask for. Kudos to Craig, Steve, Shawn and crew for their efforts in ensuring a quality space for their customers.

MASTER MECHANIC at 2 Howard Park Avenue, Toronto.
I already shared my disastrous experience with a head office.
I went to change an oil and an oil filter. At the same time I asked them to rotate tires. One service was listed on the order form as completed, in fact was not completed - tire rotation listed but not done. Oil filter not changed as per my request. A mechanic allegedly broke his tool. Was it a proper tool? Consequently i had to go to Lexus dealer to complete my orders to my total satisfaction. Make sure that customers are checking if the job is done, before picking up their cars. Don't trust.

I'm a first time car owner and this was my first time visiting a mechanic (for an overall inspection). I'm so happy with the service and will definitely make this "my mechanic". Fast, professional, respectful, kind, well-priced, explained things patiently and clearly. Very happy!

I was having some issues with vibrations and aggressive noises that I brought to several different places who all told me that there was no issue. Finally I brought my car here after seeing the reviews and they got to the root of the issue - keeping in constant contact to make sure they were understanding me properly and attacking the root of the issue. The cost was very reasonable considering the time they spent digging into the issue. I will only come here from now on.

If you're looking for a great experience with a garage, do not look any further than Master Mechanic (Leaside location). There is a great sense of professionalism here and overall just a experience.

I dropped the car off the night prior and by 8: 30 in the morning, i had received a phone call of work that is necessary to be done and work that doesn't need to be done.

The open and honest approach is what i appreciate the most. I am not a car savvy person and to know what work has to be done and the upfront cost was great help. The work was done quickly and pick up was a piece of cake and all additional explanations of the fixes were made to me.

I would definitely recommend this garage and i will most definitely go back.

I am so happy we decided to start taking our car to this Master Mechanic location. We have been looking for a professional, honest place for years, having one bad experience after another with various other places, but Craig and the team here treat us very well. Craig explains everything in laymens terms, even taking the time to show me the worn parts, how they work, and what needs to be done. I feel more knowledgeable and I have never felt they have oversold or did unnecessary work. Thanks much to everyone there, you have a couple of loyal customers for a long time!

Very poor attitude of the owner or manager of this location. Here's what happened: Recently I called to inform the manager or owner that one of his employee's (white Honda van license plate BXKP 968) was repeatedly parking on private property at 85 Laird Dr which is Leaside Village. Notice the sign located behind the van. The owner/manager response was that the property is actually public parking and that his employee was entitled to park there. My response was that the employee was taking up valuable parking space from PAYING customers of 85 Laird Dr.and NOT for his personal use. When I asked why doesn't his employee park his vehicle on their property he hung up on me. Based on this interaction, I would NEVER recommend this location for auto motive service.

Had a brake problem and left them a message on the long weekend as they were closed. They called me first thing Tuesday morning after the holiday, I has a brake issue, they let me know the front needed changing and the back could wait though which was awesome. They were on time when I brought it in that same morning and by noon they were done. Genuinely cared and professional from A to B. If you are looking for competent, caring, trustworthy mechanics these are your guys! Mike Browne

For more than twelve years Craig and his team have been servicing various of my cars. Their expertise, efficiency and courtesy are obvious, and I trust them completely to not only carry out service and repairs, but also advise me of future work that may be required.

I’ve been going to master mechanic for 2 years now and my mom has been going for as long as I can remember. If anyone is looking for a new mechanic (or even if you’re not) I will always recommend Master Mechanic on Laird! The guys that work there really take the time to find the solution with the lowest cost. I had a major issue last night, brought my car in this morning with no warning, and they spent the day making sure it was safe and in working order. They told me all the options but also specified which costs were necessary and which costs were just cosmetic. They helped me to select the right tires for me at the right cost. They really take care of you as a client and make sure all your decisions are educated and necessary! Can’t say enough great things about them!

Absolute lifesavers when I was in a real tricky situation!

Bought a Chevrolet Cruze a month ago from some dealership out in Markham, drove the car away and suddenly thick white smoke started billowing from the hood. Took back to the dealership to have fixed, they had the car over a week and once I got it back, drove it for the day and the exact same issue. My girlfriend is due to give birth in the next week or so and therefore I need a reliable and safe car to get us to and from the hospital, at this point I wasn't willing to take chances with the dealership's apparently unqualified mechanic.

Took to Sean at Master Mechanic at 7am, had the issue diagnosed by Craig within 5 minutes (coolant leak from split hose), had the car back by 1pm with no issues at all. They also managed to find me the parts for a decent price and didn't charge me for any unnecessary extras (as I know mechanics are notorious for!) All was done with a professionalism that regained my faith in my car and the friendly service was the icing on the cake!

They have gained a new customer in me and I would be confident in having any of my automobile checks/repairs completed by them.

I tried to book an appointment but they cancelled it, due to the fact "we won’t be able to service your vehicle, it may be best suited for a shop that specializes in such repairs" Shawn" I only wanted a couple things replaced and a battery installed but I'm not sure if they really do all repairs might want to bring your vehicle in just for a oil change or windshield water changed, minor work like that they can probably do. I'm guessing they won't be able to fix your brakes, change your timing belt, or even replace a battery. They should be called professionals right!?

This guys are solid. Great service. Didn't lie or tried to upsell. I've been on a lot of other places that they will always try to upsell you on maintenance or other stuff. They solved my problem on the best price and quick. I recommend.

Their reputation is well deserved. They really are honest mechanics. Never trying to up-sell. Only recommending the work that's needed when it's needed.

I always had my 2012 Mini serviced by the dealer, but heard three guys were good, and much less expensive. These guys deserve all the positive reviews. From the moment I spoke to Shawn, I had a good impression that I was dealing with professionals, but also friendly people. My car was serviced and back on the road without a hitch, and for much less than I expected to pay. They’ve won my business!
