Master Mechanic Milton

A little pricey here for someone that does a lot of DIY, although the staff are definitely kind and professional. Had to go here in a pinch as my regular mechanic was closed, got an estimate and decided it would be worth it for me just to hold off.

Got some other non-heavy mechanical stuff done however, that wasn't breaking the bank fortunately.

I've been coming to this Master Mechanic location for 8 years for a reason. The service is great, they always accommodate last minute requests, staff are super friendly/helpful and are all honest/good people to do business with. Highly recommended to anyone in this area!

Recently within a 3 week period I had trouble with 2 different tires (nails in each) Rob (owner) Chris and Brendan told me to bring the vehicle right over, tires fixed in less than 1/2 hr at a very reasonable price and I was back on the road. Can't beat that!

I have to say I gave them two opportunities to fix their careless mistakes before I wrote this review. I took my car to Mater Mechanic in Oct for an airbag light check that was on my dash. After checking my car for a few mins, they told me that my brake pads and rotors needed changing and were in a non-safe driving condition. On Oct 13,2022, I spent $1,500 to change the brake and rotors. On Oct 24, I opened the hood of my car and found out that the whole engine intake filter system was missing; they forgot to install the filter system (is that not a safety issue). When I called Master Mechanic, they casually told me that it was accidentally left out and was present in the garage. I asked them why they didn’t call me to let me know they had forgotten to install the car air filter system. I overlooked their mistake and didn’t post a review at that time; however, now my brakes were making a noise. I booked an appointment with them to take a look, and usually, they said that nothing serious was wrong with it; instead, I would need to spend another $250 to fix the calibre. After taking my car today (July 6,2023) to my mechanic, he told me that they fixed the right side of the brake pads on the left side and the left side of the brake on the right side, which has led to premature wear of the shim brackets for which I will have to pay $275 to get fixed. Very frustrated, disappointed and upset with the extreme carelessness of this location of Master Mechanic and their attitude of not wanting to fix the issues that they created in the first place. Because of their careless work I have to pay $275 (to get fixed what they broke), not fair! I am thinking of filing an official complaint with the Ministry of Transportation.

This spot is honest, friendly, and capable of whatever you throw at them. Prices are reasonable, and their high ratings are well-deserved.

Great service, very knowledgeable and courteous staff. Will go back to them in a heartbeat if I encounter another car issue.

They have done everything for my business vehicles from an oil change to a complete engine rebuild and have never let me down! Great mechanics and great customer service/satisfaction! Don’t hesitate to drop your vehicle off

Rob, Chris and team are fantastic! A customer of over 20 years (moving out of Milton), I’ve always felt safe with my vehicle in their care for various needs and received top service, care and professionalism each time. You can trust the job to be done well and priced fairly. Friendly and personable, I’ll miss Rob, Chris and the pleasant atmosphere. Hopefully I’ll be as lucky at our next shop!

The repair was done in a timely fashion, but unfortunately, no one called me to let me know the car was done. They forgot to do my oil change and asked me if they could do it once I had gotten there to pick up my car after being there over the weekend. (they are closed saturday/sunday) Chris was helpful and kind. The repair was a bit more expensive than quotes I received elsewhere, but I had the car towed there on a whim on Friday afternoon. I do have to bring it back today to have the alignment adjusted. I may update my review then, although I'm not impressed the alignment already needs to be adjusted less than 24 hours after picking it up. Kind of seems like they didn't do one.

Edit: The car went in for an "alignment check" and it was in there for an hour.definitely seemed like it was not done the first time, but nonetheless they took it in free of charge to correct the issue.
