Master Mechanic Whitby

I’ve never had a more positive experiences at a mechanic shop than at Master Mechanic, Whitby. It started when my car’s engine disintegrated and needed replacement. The crew were friendly, compassionate, and diligent.

The best part of the service is the detailed descriptions, with photo evidence, of what is wrong with the car and what needs to be replaced/fixed. These reports are emailed in a timely fashion before any commitment for work is given. The mechanics discussed options, price points and concerns with me thoroughly and repeatedly when I called back with questions.

All the staff, owner, mechanics, and administration, went soooo far above and beyond any expectations to find a suitable replacement I could afford. I’m not flush with cash, so couldn’t afford to replace my car. Fortunately, they made it work for me, finding discounts and savings along the way if they could.

I am forever grateful. They are now my regular mechanic and I’ve recommended them to several colleagues and friends.

Since I have been coming here for the last 1-2 years, I feel my cars are in safe hands. They prioritize the most important things that need attention and I always feel they are fair and honest in their approach.

What an amazing experience I had. Customer service is top notch and extremely knowledgeableand friendly. I went there to get some maintenance done to my car like differential fluid, transmission fluid and spark plugs change. Gave a quote very reasonable compared to competitors and much cheaper than dealership. And not to mention they shuttled me home and back. How awesome is that. This is gonna be my go to place from now on.

My brother in law needed his 2006 toyota camry repaired and I offered to take it to this master mechanic because I had gone here before. He lives out in cobourg. He had 2 massive exhaust leaks and a loose rattling heat shield. Rick and his team offered a great price and fixed it in a couple of hours. They even offered me a free shuttle to and from my house in whitby! Wonderful people, great price and amazing service!

While visiting in Whitby yesterday, I ended up with car problems. Called Master Mechanic (recommended by cousin), explained the situation and asked if they could check it out to make sure it was safe to drive back to Ottawa. What I thought would be the exhaust turned out to be front right wheel bearing. They were booked solid. Rick Bolwell, as a courtesy, called around 4 or 5 other garages that might be able to fix the car. Finally one said yes but when I got there they said they made a mistake and could only take me the next morning. Called back Master Mechanic Whitby. Without hesitation, they said to come back and they would do the job. A bay was emptied and in no time 2 mechanics had the car ready for a safe return to Ottawa. Thank you Rick Bolwell, owner Kyle Pearn and mechanics Sean and Paul. Wow! I'm so incredibly impressed by this location. I showed up just as they were about to close with a flat tire. Rick and his crew stayed and made sure that my car was safe to drive home. I'm thankful to finally find a mechanic that I can trust! Good job guys!

Such a great place my power liftgate was malfunction be calibrated but no charge.

Went in cuz my car was revving really high without gaining much speed. Didn't take long for a diagnosis.were very detailed in telling me what they found wrong and even found the most economical way of fixing it. My car sounds so good now.and got my power back:)
