Trying to return and was told their policy changed. And it has to be return to a gift card, and has to be spent today. WOW

A good place to go get some toys. The prices are quite high so try to get from other places. It is still fine to go shopping here, if you have a gift card or just want to pay more.

I recently bought a Final Sale item at another Mastermind Toys location and unfortunately a part was missing. I went to this Oakville location and the staff and manager were very kind and friendly, they gave me the missing part without hassle. A great experience overall

Quite an extensive range of toys considering the size of the store. Not the world's most hospitable gentleman behind the counter, but meh.

The stone's layout had changed since I last was in. Lots of beautiful items, very tidy. Seems to be well organized. I love that there are a lot of educational, imaginative toys available. I don't have little kids anymore so I only shop for gifts on occasion. I was a bit surprised by some of the prices (but I have been lately at the grocery store too.) I was also struck by how kids toys are still so gendered - pink boxes full of dolls in a different section for instance. I think that's the industry but it would be nice to see toys grouped more by age group or type rather than gender in 2022.

I was the only one in the store midday and I had to get the cashier's attention as the manager / owners were discussing sales numbers in what looked like a staff meeting behind the counter. Not the cashier's fault. Managers should have immediately allowed her to deal with me then returned to convo. A customer should never feel like they are interrupting employees in order to get service and cash out.

Nice store, friendly staff, lots of selection, but rather overpriced. Toys r us probably has what you want cheaper.

Extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff. Lots of selection of unique toys as well as plenty of the more mainstream items you'd find at Walmart and Toys r Us.

Lots of cool board games to choose from and friendly staff. They seemed to have freshened up their layout and selection recently.

Think of a cleaner, quieter, smaller version of Toys R Us. I LOVE the fact they have a huge selection of educational toys, books, as well as board games.

That being said, they still have fart machines and LEGO lol. I much prefer shopping here than Toys R Us, or Walmart.

I went to return a gift with a gift receipt however the manager didn't return my toy because the toy was not packaged as purchased! Yes because my son opened the paper packaging to see what is inside the box!
So if you are buying anything from Oakville
Master Mind don't open the toy or somehow manage to package as if it was not opened! I was told they have a STRICT RETURN POLICY!

Well organized lots of staff available with helpful options. Bonus was the beautiful wrapping free of charge.

Getting the runaround. Customer Service and the Assistant Manager tell me one thing and the Manager another. I spoke to Customer Service and they contacted the "Store Manager" on my behalf and told me to go to the store. I show up the store, waste my time (in COVID), and the Manager tells me the opposite. She also was very clear that "she was the Manager" and the other guy was "only the assistant". Very poor communication and service!

Great selection of board games and a nice, clean store. If you know what you’re there for you’re in and out in no time. If not, you can spend plenty of time shopping there for a great gift for the family. They also offer gift wrapping.

Always great service and product selection at this store! Now if only they could improve their online customer experience.

BAD ATTITUDE
We love this toy store and bought a lot stuff for our and friends’ kids over past years. For this Christmas, we bought some gifts, then, found out they had promotions on those toys two days later. We brought the unopened toys back. The store has no price adjustment policy. So, they needed to return the items, then we bought them again. The store manager/supervisor showed us ATTITUDE. I don’t understand why!
As a community store, there is no price adjustment policy which is ridiculous. In addition, the stuffs show attitude to customers for providing the customers services, which is their job description!
Really disappointed!

We shop a lot at Mastermind Toys but we were looking for something specific and it turned out this was the closest store that had it in stock. We drove through miserable weather from our home to find that the store had just closed. The staff Justin and Madison were still there but wouldn't open the door and wouldn't help us. I had no idea the store closed at 5 on a Sunday because many of their other locations opened later. We offered cash with no change, debit, credit, whatever they wanted but they outright refused to help us. We explained that we lived fourty minutes away. It didn't matter. It was a disappointing experience and I vowed that we would do without before we gave this store our business. Fortunately for us, we found the item stocked in a Hamilton store on Black Friday and spent over a thousand dollars in toys between two locations in Hamilton. And the service was exceptional! I hope this isn't a franchise because you lost a good customer.

Brutal. I ordered something on their website. It said not available to ship. Only available at this location. So I went. They gave me the wrong thing. I went back again. Still the wrong product. Then told they don't have it. Sorry.

We love this store and buy a lot of stuff from here. Last time we came in Jackie was very rude and abrupt - not sure what her problem was.we will not be shopping at this location due to her rude behaviour. She should get retrained or should not work in customer service.

Aside from Jackie everyone else was very nice and pleasant

I have been to Mastermind Toys in Oakville many times and every time have received exceptional customer service.in my most recent visit I was helped by Claire who was pleasant, professional and efficient.she did a wonderful job wrapping the gifts, definitely 5 star service.

Sweet kids toy shop, located upper 8th street & trafalgar excellent exciting shopping for our grandson got him a little music light up duo drum and book about animals. Lots of neat grow with your child toys. If looking for unique gifts this is the place to go.

All educational materials, toys, cards I purchase here for learning at home. For any parents needing therapeutic materials for receptive and expressive therapy - I buy everything here and it's much better than the Dollar Store products which fall apart. It's more costly but lasts session to session.

Great selection of toys. After coming here I really don’t enjoy Toys R Us. Also gift wrapping is a real life saver.

It's a big store I like all the books and games plus art and crafts and science books, the sales clerks seems very good knew what they were talking about and knew how to make the visit a good experience

Large variety of toys sure to stimulate developing minds. Lots of options centred around critical thinking, building, puzzle solving, and so on. Why not give the kids a challenge while they play?

Not much of selection as in other mastermind toy centers but I found what I was looking for. Excellent staff

Picked up a last minute present for the kids, the folks at the counter, including Zack, were super nice. The gift wrapping crew did a marvelous job wrapping the gift up, quickly.

Mid-range priced toys with a sizable selection and lots of education based materials. We go for book, toys and gifts on a regular basis.

I always find what I need here. Toy selection is different than at conventional stores and staff is very helpful.

Considering how busy it was, the service was great! The was plenty of staff to help anyone. The store is quite large, and was well stocked with a variety of items.
