Worst experience ever! Do not expect any customer service when you shop here.
It took me a long time in the line and the cashiers were scanning an item per hour, not paying attention to the crowded line up!
When I asked for wrapping, I had to wait much extra, cause they were wrapping as slow as possible, so I asked for the wrapping paper and they said that it is their policy not to give out any wrapping papers! Then I talked to their supervisor and found out that there was no such policy. The supervisor asked the cashier to give me the wrapping paper so that I can wrap my gift by myself, though the cashier still had doubt and took some time to decide that they can do it. So frustrating!
I was in a rush, and they were the most not understanding people I had ever seen! Trying their best not to help.
Cashiers were like they had no limitations to slow down their process.

I bought a gift for my friend's daughter, snd at the cashier I asked if it is returnable or not, and they said I could return it if I have the receipt. A week after thar i wanted to retirn the good they did not accept and told me we have changed our policy six days ago! Unblievable, they should have told me when i bought my gift.

I just wanted to say thank you to the new store manager (Lidia OR Lindia). I purchased a gift for a baby from another location, but went to this location with baby's mom to exchange the gift as she already bought exactly the same toy for her son. But I didn't have the receipt with me and they were not able to find it in their system. Lidia went above and beyond to help us. She called the location I had shopping from and they emailed her the receipt and. Long story short, she was very professional and helpful with great customer service. I needed to share my best mastermind shopping experience with everyone. Thank you Lidia!

The staff were all in the middle area chatting. I ended up helping a customer who had a question. The store was busy but clean.

Mastermind been providing unique toys for my two children. Now that they grown up we visit less than before. Surprisingly they have new Hotwheels stock when visiting today. Huge shout out to Liam going above and beyond to support my purchase. Now I'm going home happy like a little kid. Thanks Mastermind (and Liam of course).

Good customer service. Limited collection. Recommend to increase LEGO collections. Expensive compare to other toy stores.

They are a well stocked store. A good variety of toys, stuffed animals, games, crafts and books.

I found some good deals on small gadgets to keep a 4yr old interested in science and the mechanics of how things work.

I compared prices against Amazon.ca and they are very close, for the items I selected.

I bought 2 small gadgets: magnet rover and mini volcano for my little nephew.

Very clean and organized store.

I was there to Buy a gift for my niece. I had a very bad experience with floor manager, Arvin. He was so nervous and rude not only to me but also to the staff.

Am at mastermind right now. Horrible customer service. I understand that there is a delay with gift wrapping. The sales person was very rude. I offered if I could pack myself at the store. I was told I could get the wrapping paper but not the tape. My daughter was with me and she was shocked how they spoke at a toy store.
It’s x mas time. Doesn’t take much to be polite.
I am taking time to write this review. Would appreciate if a kids store would hire friendly and helpful staff.

Mastermind is perfect, except for its prices, which are a little high. You can always find something here, even for the picky, spoiled kids!

Went in to return a gift, it was quick and easy. Staff is always pleasant and knowledgeable if you need help selecting the perfect gift. They have an excellent selection of toys, kid's crafting kits, and books. We love Mastermind!

Extremely rude and condescending for a toy store cashier. Especially the Filipino young female. I called prior to coming into the store location, and I explained to the gentleman on the phone that I lost the gift receipt during the Christmas holidays (not unusual) but would like for just an exchange as we received 2 of the same gifts. He happily said it would be no problem or concern and to bring it in for the return. I came in, and right off the bat 3 employees were inspecting the item, asking if I had opened it or used it (it is a small book with nail polish that is VERY CLEARLY sealed and unopened). So humiliating. She scans it successfully to see if they carry the product and the other 2 employees proceed to find a way not to process the refund. They find a sticker (that could easily have transferred onto the product by mistake from all the other presents we’ve received) that reads “price in Canada 8.99” and says that they cannot give me a store credit for the item because their products do not have stickers on them. The price of the item on the website says “28.99”. So if they think I am trying to scam the system, I’m doing a terrible job. My mother in law (who is of Caucasian decent) bought this item for us and returned items from this store and location recently last month, December, with and without a receipt and has no issue or similar experience as my own. So one can only assume that the staff here is prejudice and needs workplace diversity awareness training IMMEDIATELY. I might just do some social tests at this location to see how these same individuals react to different customers, age, race, gender.

Toys ranging from age 0 to 15 ish. Great place to take your kids but difficult to get them out.

Overly priced toys, but what can you do? It's an easy one stop shop for Xmas and they do free gift wrapping.

Very busy location, inside Bayview Village (located near rear entrance, next to Timothy's). Medium-sized store with a bit of everything. If you cannot find the item you're looking for, they will ship to you or to the store. Be sure you're on their mailing list so check the catalog for their coupon. With the Christmas season: they do have more staff and gift wrapping (or pay extra for mall wrapping).

Wow store for children toys! All the best and awesome toys available. They had a good deal of 20% for puzzles. So got some puzzle games for my nephew. The customer service is excellent and very kind staffs. Extremely friendly and sweet owner Debra. Also other staffs Adam, Grace and Audrey are very helpful too. The good thing is that they wrap up things if we need to gift it. Their wrappers are too good and also they let us pick the wrapper to our choice which is a nice thing. Totally awesome day because of their service and had fun. Will visit again)
