Lots of really great items for children of all ages. Adults too! They also have great sales days to keep an eye out for. Sign your child up and they will get a present for their birthday which is great.
This store is medium sized in a fairly busy plaza, but it is definitely worth popping in for a visit

Lovely spacious store- all kinds of toys and puzzles. This senior kid could spend so much time here. Well worth a visit

Good selection of toys. They have toys you don't find on amazon or other stores. A little bit overpriced but I think it is understandable.

Has lots of amazing toys and fun books suitable for my three year old daughter. They are helpful and greet you with a smile when you walk in.

It's not amazing, but their toys and customer service are much better than their competitor just across the street. So, I'd rather go there when I want to spoil my child (which unfortunately happens too often).:)

Very bad cx experience, went to return toy (binoculars) purchased 2 days ago as lens are not clear when my daughter tried it, but staff were very rude & were like its not blurry & we will not return. How can i know if product is right without opening.

Mastermind toys is my family favorite store for my son toys, games and educational activities, etc.
This Mastermind toys store is well organized, stocked and clean.
They are following all COVID19 regulations.

Always a pleasure to stop in and browse their selections of toys and LEGO. Will always enjoy this location for its friendly staff and their great knowledge set.

I originally had a bad experience trying to return a drone before closing time last night. But the lady I dealt with today, was very friendly and happy to help me with my return.

Great customer service. Went in with 10 minutes to close. Extremely helpful, and didn't make me feel rushed, or that I'd inconvenienced them. Will definitely be heading back there for my next purchase for my nieces!

BUYER BEWARE! You better hope the toy you buy works because they don’t issue refunds or exchanges! I bought a VTech toy for my son that was missing pieces. The guy behind the counter literally took every piece out and said he couldn’t tell if anything was missing. He offered to put the set together and have me wait while it was done.which could take a while. I opted to leave and never return again. I was in the store for an HOUR just for him to tell me he won’t exchange it. Save yourself the time and money.go to Walmart or order online.

This toy store is a Canadian icon. When I was a little boy I used to buy bags of Marbles there. Now it is the go to spot for Lego! Seriously awesome. I hope my kids have the same great memories of it when they reach their late 30s.

Mastermind Toys is a really wonderful toy store. They have a great variety of quality toys without the impersonal, rat-lost-in-a-maze feel of a big box store like Toys R Us.
I've been in three locations over the past month, and all three were equally great. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and helpful without being pushy. The range of toys available is quite wide for it being a smaller store. They carry many different types of toys: LEGO, Playmobil, My Generation dolls and accessories, TY plushes, Brio trainsets, Magformers and other similar clever building toys, just to name a few. They also sell really nice children's books - I think I would be glad to purchase any of them for my children.
There is a lot going on visually in the store for children to marvel at, from various toy testing stations to a gigantic elep (wearing a tutu!?).
There is children's music played in the store - I've noticed Raffi and Sandra Boynton songs in the mix.
The prices are a tad higher than you might pay in an impersonal place like Walmart or Toys R Us, but the experience is far more pleasant and will keep you coming back the next time you need to pick up a gift for a child in your life!

I don't ever leave reviews, but this was probably the worst customer service I've received in a long time and felt I needed to share. My daughter was invited to her best friends birthday party (twin girls turning 9). The girls love Beanie boos and my daughter asked if I could buy them Tasha because the birthday matched the twin's birthday (January 4th). After checking every online store that carried them, I found out that many of the stores were out of stock. Mastermind however showed that they had stock in Guelph. I requested 2 and the store was to contact me when 2 were reserved. I received my confirmation that 2 were ready for pick up and drove 30 minutes to pick them up (I live in Cambridge).
Upon getting there Nicole, the sales representative informed me that there was only 1 in stock. She apologized for the mix up and said she would speak to the staff member who caused the issue. I then asked her to check stock in other surrounding stores. She did.and informed me that there was stock in Mississauga. An hour away from me.too far. Knowing my daughter would be upset and frustrated that I drove 30 minutes for a toy that wasn't even in stock; I asked Nicole if she would be able to offer the Beanie Boos at no cost as reimbursement for their mix up and my time to drive all the way to Guelph. She said no and best she could do was 10%. She then shrugged her shoulders and said "Mistakes happen, we're human" so that comment upset me and I asked to speak to the manager. I then spoke with the assistant store Manager Earl, who basically reinstated what Nicole said, but offered a 20% discount because they still had their promo coupons. Again, I didn't feel that was fair, left the store frustrated and empty handed and asked to have the store manager call me when he arrived. When the store manager did call I asked if there was a way that he could ship the Beanie Boo's from the Mississauga location to the Guelph location, and that I would drive back to Guelph to pick them up once they were in stock. Not surprising; he explained that bringing in merchandise from other stores was not an option. He then said I am sorry for the mix up and basically offered nothing else. I fully understand that mistakes happen, I just felt that given that I didn't get what I was told (promised), I felt more should have been done to to rectify the situation. But if they didn't care to help me, then I don't care to shop there!:)
