Matsuda Japanese Cuisine

I had a great experience while spending time with my friend. The restaurant had a peaceful atmosphere that created a soothing environment. The male guy staff were kind and hardworking. We had a delightful time enjoying each other's company in the tranquil surroundings of the restaurant.

Service was quick ordering off ipad. Food was meh. Too much rice in the maki rolls. Better rolls available elsewhere for same price.

I moved out from Markham a while ago but revisited this AYCE last week and I am still amazed with their quality and staff. Everything is still so fresh and I really enjoyed the food here still!

Excellent service! We went on the evening of New Year’s Day and Our waiter was this Asian guy with glasses. He’s honestly the most friendly and sweetest guy ever. Give him a raise.

There are a lot of people, and the queue is not in order, but the guests with more people are in the front and the ones with less people are in the back. Highly not recommended on your own.

Been meaning to try this place for while, Matsuda has always been on my list of Japanese BBQ to check out. Loved the overall variety of items and sashimi and sushi to try.

The food is okay, it just tastes like sushi. There is butter shrimp or something, which is very delicious. The desserts are also delicious. Alisa who served us is also quite good!

Been going here since I was 15. Now I am 28 and I still LOVE IT. They are one of the top tier AYCE sushi restaurants honestly. The selection & quality is great for the price. As with most places are $45-$55 with tax and tip these days. I suggest weekends as their special items are available. Super fresh sashimi and interesting rolls too.

Went to this AYCE sushi place for the 3rd time. Went with friends this time around. I paid $54.41, tips included. On the pricier end of AYCE sushi places. I swear it's getting pricier each time we go back.

This time the sashimi was a miss. Some of the sashimi was fresh, while others weren't as fresh.

The sushi and other foods were fine. Not amazing but it was decent. We enjoyed the food. Sometimes the food here are either a hit or a miss. Like the beef skewers. Last time we were here, the beef skewers were bad. This time around, they were really good.

The first time I came here was with friends. The food was good. The second time I came here was with family. The food was decent. Now the third time. The food was okay, but not great or anything.

The service was fast and good. Food was brought by pretty quickly and they took away empty plates back quickly as well.

The atmosphere is fine. We went on Saturday around 4pm. It's basically empty at that time with like 2 other groups of people there. By the time we left, there was more people, but it wasn't full.

I guess come here if you want some AYCE sushi and other Japanese foods. I suppose there are other better options, but Matsuda is our ol' reliable restaurant.

We ate lots more, but I forgot to take pictures. So the only pictures I got was from the end of the meal and our time there.

I reported to the waiter that the food quality issue caused the child to vomit. The waiter told me to report the situation to the manager, but nothing happened after that. I only planned to leave a 10% tip, but when I paid, I was told that the bill included 12%. I tipped, I was very angry, even if someone came over and said a caring greeting, I would still be willing to give a 12% tip, even though there was no service at all

Good place to eat, I went out with some work friends. I don't eat seafood so I sat there for long periods of time with food that I couldn't eat until the non seafood came out. The food I could eat was very good though. The beef skewers were tasty.

There is a real Matsuda in Markham, Toronto.
I can feel the feeling of freeing questions in Mong Kok, Hong Kong.
The sashimi presentation is not as gorgeous as in Hong Kong, but it is still under the ice.
Especially cooked food, beef tenderloin, shrimp balls, fried chicken wings, squid rings, steamed tea bowls, it tastes delicious.

My favorite ayce place. Sashimi is fresh and they serve the food quite quickly even during a very busy night. Price is reasonable

Me and my mother visited this restaurant 2 -4 times per month.
The sashimi is above average especially the squid sashimi* (ika), shrimp sashimi*.
Other recommendation include Chicken Teriyaki, Beef Enoki roll*, Deep Fried Pork Chop*, Matsuda Roll* (Red Tuna Top), Steam Egg, Tempura Shrimp, Sweet Potato Tempura*, Volcano Roll (Salmon Steak), Mango Yogurt*, Ginger Milk*. Fish Head Soup, Mussel in Soup*. Shrimp Skewer*. Pan Fried Udon*, Tepanyaki Shrimp*, Spicy Salmon Hand Roll.
If you have trouble to select the food. Try my recommendation list with a *. The shrimp/beef is expensive in supermarket now, so come here to eat all the shrimp/ beef.
They open at 3pm, so I come at around 4pm, and treat that meal as my lunch + dinner.

Other than food, the table is very big, and air condition is very strong. Service is great in general speaking. Food is ordered from the provided IPAD so there is less chance to miss an order.

Worst food in Toronto. Trust me, soup is the only good one in menu. Spicy or sour, everything tastes same, force you drink lots of water and leave. After that, no sauce in cold noodle, i sign on every bite, and thinking about why i choose this restaurant at first.
Good service, but never come back. Does it even have chef in kitchen?

Me and the family always go for dinner for the weekend menu. Always good as it comes with ginger milk option for dessert. Staff are nice. So nice one of the staff noticed how many years we have been going for an gave us a 10% discount card if we pay cash.

Tip is already preset in bill.

Good food but not at all worth the price. Seriously didnt appreciate the forced "service fee" that you are not told about beforehand and have to pay for. Tipping should be optional (I planned to) especially considering it was a party of 2 and the service was mediocre.

Amazing place! The staff is so genuine and friendly. They feel like family. Food is Amazing! Very quick service. Staff all works together to make this a wonderful experience! Love this place!

Sushi is very mediocre. Don't believe these 5 stars reviews.

Go elsewhere.

Decided to check out an old favourite, however the food quality has declined heavily. Sushi was dry, nothing tasted fresh. Very sad to also see many favourite dishes no longer available.
