Mavericks

The Philly cheese steak was delicious. Both of my adult children had Putin and there was just the right amount of curry in there dishes. We also had the appetizer of the pull apart cheese bread with tomato sauce to dip the bread.

This is great spot for food. Unfortunately it took over an hour to get food, all we ordered was a burger and ceaser salad and coconut shrimp.

The food was great. Our sever April was amazing as always. Beers could be colder. It was like they just put them in the cooler

Very generous portions, (we shared the 2 piece fish and chips). It was kind of loud when we were there for lunch.

The fish and chips is pare to none ingan I've tried all restaurants in gananoque he fish and chips hands down mavericks has the best in town batter & fish perfect match done well and fries and slaw amazing I've spent a week going to 10 different in gananoque to restaurants for fish and chips and mavericks hands down the best.

We had roughly 20 people in our group they had us all seated in same area. The food was amazing and our waitress she was the absolute best Melissa the server deserves an award for serving my party. Thank hanks again.

Went here with my family as it’s highly recommended by a lot of folks in gan and has high ratings. After trying it today I don’t understand why anyone goes here unless you’re drinking. They clearly cater to the bar crowd which is full but leave the food as a second thought. The foods clearly all frozen with no pride or thought going into it. The kids chicken fingers are super thin and barely any meat. Clearly from a bag and just thrown together. I had the burger and poutine. Burger was edible but the main toppings are onions and pickles. Could easily do with half the amount at-least. The poutine where do I start. The fries were super flimsy instead of crispy, one drop of gravy on-top so most of it has no gravy at all and the cheese curd is clearly frozen and left to thaw all day and used when needed. The chicken park is spicy as hell and super thin fried to hell. Hard to cut let alone eat. I don’t understand anyone who goes here unless you’re just going to the bar to drink. Only redeeming factor is the staff are nice and friendly. Will not be returning.

We were celebrating our anniversary weekend and came to the 1000 islands. Mavericks was very inviting on the outside. Inside it looks like they just did renovations or moved in. Very basic for decor. Which is not a big deal. We were greeted by bartender and said we could seat ourselves. The server came fairly quickly took our drink order which came fairly quick. Then she took our food order. We waited 33 minutes for food to arrive. The table that came in after us recieved there food 10 min earlier then we did. When food came, I was not impressed. Husband got the curry chicken. I ordered the chicken parm entre. My husband said his was ok. Mine on the other hand was something to be desired. The chicken parm was over cooked and extremely dry. The pasta was also over cooked to the point it was mushy, the sauce tasted like it came from the can directly to the plate. No spices added very bland. I sent it back.
Server didn't even come back to check on us until my husband finished eating. She made excuses that the kitchen is very busy because there is live music in the back room. Honestly don't care. Food should be edible and service should be much better. Server did not charge for my meal.
Honestly don't waste your time and energy coming here. We were very disappointed.
We ended up having to go to another restaurant so that I could have something to eat.

Staff was very good. Food was delicious, and they give you a lot of food at a great price.

We dined here after returning from a 1000 Island cruise. The place is cozy with generous portions. The creamy mushroom soup was delicious and affordable. However, we were a group of 8 with two seniors who couldn't sit on elevated seats, and the staff didn't arrange a big table for us, so we had to sit separately. Also, we all ordered soup, but they only brought half the orders, telling us they ran out when they served the main dish. We would have preferred to know earlier so we could change our appetizer order. Despite this, the grilled chicken sandwich I ordered was delicious.

We didn't eat here because it was full. But I rate it 5 star because the bar tender ran after us to tell us alternative places to dine! I think that is stellar service and would definitely go back again because of her! Thank you.

Aside from the drunk locals screaming along with the bad acoustics, service was slow and we waited 1.5 hours for food. Do yourself a favour and go somewhere else.

We waited over an hour for our four dishes that were not overly complicated or took exceptionally long to make. The waitress did her best, but was alone for almost the whole evening, therefore having to rush from table to table to get everything done. Out of the four dishes, only one was qualitatively ok, and especially the "Curry poutine" did not deserve its name-a bucket load of cheap curry sauce over some flabby fries. Definitely not worth a visit

This was by far the BEST dinner I have had in years! We eat out a lot, and this was amazing. Waitress was lovely, atmosphere was relaxed but sort of elegant, and the food was AMAZING! I had the Blackened Salmon, it came with veggies & potatoes and it was perfect.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

The place definitely seemed understaffed tonight; only one person in the kitchen. We were seated and ordered pretty quickly, and our appetizer arrived in a good amount of time. But then everything went haywire. A group of 8 loud patrons joined the dining room to drink. Our dinner order was taking close to 1 hour, and we couldn't hear at our table due to the inconsiderate patrons, so we asked to move to the front area. We got the okay from our server, but somehow our dinner went to another table. To apologize, they brought us more appetizers, which was kind. But nearly 2 hours after ordering, our food finally arrived to our table. Fries were hot, but the food was general pub fare. The long wait and loud atmosphere had turned us off.
