The service is great. It is small shop but the food is fresh and has the Iraqi athenetic style. Fresh bread, fresh bun. I tryed the pizza and I like it except the olive was whole peice added not sliced. I prefer the slice but the pizza tast good.

We had the pizza and it was just amazing. The topings were fresh, the chicken was flavourful, the dough was the perfect bake. Definitely coming back to try the rest.

I saw an ad on instagram about this restaurant, I headed there only to try the iraqi Qas (beef shawarma in Samon bread) which was greaand authentic.
Staff was friendly and welcoming.
Price is not bad for the portion.
Will visit again to try more items.

I visited last night by chance at this restaurant. Even if it was late time, the staff gave me very fresh bread and good quality of beef and chicken when I ordered family platters. Will go back for sure

Ottawa’s obsession with shawarma is starting to pay off as we see more and more diversity in it, Mawlood serves up Iraqi shawarmas, and it’s quite a different experience.

How is it different? Well, it’s served in an Iraqi bread (though you can also opt for a regular pita), and it has none of the garlic sauce or pickled veggies or fries in it. I tried the beef shawarma, and the meat took center stage to the experience. What made the meat stand out though, was how full of flavour and fat it was. If you like rendered fat dropping off your meat, you will absolutely love this. I do, and I really enjoyed it. It’s topped with some red onions, tomatoes and bbq sauce.

So, is it an instant hit? I guess it’ll depend. I think this style works for people who really enjoy meat and want the flavour of meat to dominate the experience. Personally, I enjoyed it. It was too big for me to finish, but yeah, I’d definitely go again.

PS: Also, it’s not on the menu, but ask for their Iraqi black tea. It’s simple, but brewed to perfection. Just the way I like.

Oh yeah, I also tried the wings with honey garlic sauce. It’s not the best wings I’ve had, but it’s actually pretty good. And for the price? Superb.

Lastly, they’ve got limited seating, but the two tables by the large window are a very pleasant place to be.

Best Shawarma in ottawa. Make sure you order the meat shawarma with the Iraqi bread. It’s amazing and delicious.

I recently dined at this restaurant and had an exceptional experience. The food was undoubtedly the best I've ever tasted, especially the homemade Irak shawarma, which left my taste buds craving more. The staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly, adding to the overall pleasant atmosphere. Not to mention, the restaurant was impeccably clean, which further enhanced my dining experience. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a delicious meal accompanied by fantastic service.

The kubba portion was amazing only for 2.5$ and the iraqi shawarma was so tasty. Fair prices for amazing food.

I have tried "Gass" wich is Iraqian beef shawarma, the taste is really authentique and different.and if you want a stronger taste ask to add some roasted lard.
The bread is also special called "Samoon Bread"

Kebba Mousiliya, maybe this is the only place where you can find it in Ottawa, it was really different than the regular kebba and tasty

Lamb skewer was really delicious as well, they really knows from where pick quality meat to spoil the customer

They do also have some Iraqian specialities to try out. You must give it try!

It's good place for the special middle east food so delicious Iraqi sandwiches but still not cheap because for small sandwich you have to spend at least $12

Had higher expectations based on the consistent 5 star reviews. However unfortunately our experience was below subpar. The service was the best thing about this place. We ordered the family kabobs but we’re very disappointed with the portion size and quality. They’re the snack size of kebabs. Their garlic sauce was watery and their chicken kafta kabob, well that was flavourless. I guess we ordered the wrong thing from a pizza store but would advise against ordering their kebabs as there are alot better places for your money. Hopefully their pizzas and shawarma are better than their kebabs.

The best quality beef shawarma I had in Canada, really juicy without any sour or bitter taste found in Lebanese shawarma, authentic real beef aha finally in Canada.

Ordered pizza here for the first time and it was really good! I got chicken shawarma and red pepper on it. Perfect amount of sauce and cheese, and lovely crust texture and flavor. The guy who made it was super nice and friendly. Red pepper wasn't on the menu but he happened to have it so he put it on:)

Tasty and affordable food from a lovely new family run business. I got a falafel wrap and the falafel was made fresh while I was there- crispy outside and rich flavorful inside. Atmosphere is more for takeout but there were a few tables inside. Would highly recommend
