I was scouted by them when i was first starting out and they scammed me hard (much like a ton of other people) and ive since learned my lesson. A very expensive lesson.

If you're a person of colour, I do not recommend this place. Of course they are nice to you because they want your money. I checked in weekly but there's never a post casting for a black female, not even for an extra. The hairstylist didn't even know what to do with my hair and my hair was already straightened and combed out. My mom had to step in and do my own hair and make up because the stylist was incompetent.

My advice would be to find an agency who knows how to represent you well. My cousin went with another agency who works with many black clients and he landed some roles in commercials and music video.

I have been with Max agency for less then one year and my experience has been beyond my expectations. My amazing agent Aleen has sent me for many castings and with her expert guidance I was able to secure role on tv show. I am honored and humbled by big support from Max agency and I fully trust their knowledge and expertise to get me more roles in movie industry. I applied to MAX Agency back in November of 2021 and all processes were completed for me to be an official, signed talent with the agency in April 2022. The staff have always been incredibly sweet and kind, always patient when I have questions, and the social media team was very enthusiastic at the idea of promoting my other social media platforms by doing fun little videos.

The reason this isn't a 5-star review is because I haven't experience the booking/audition process yet, as it's only been about 1.5 months since I met my booking agent, and thus not enough time to perhaps have a call-back. However, once time passes and I experience all aspects of the industry and the agency, I'll update my review.

So far it’s been awesome! I signed with Max Agency February 2022 and filmed my first commercial end of May 2022! I am having a blast and I know this is just the beginning! Thank you Max Agency!

As a business owner, I know how important relationships are. Max agency failed big time on this, as I was treated badly by agent Susan. I was treated in an un-professional manner as she switched from being nice to being rude when she realized I am going to print things on my own. She has no respect what so ever to actors or models, and she treated me like a complete ignorant in the industry and expected me to understand her Industry language.
I sent a complaint letter to the agency manager, but she didn't even apologize for her rude behavior and bad treatment, they ignored that part and told me that they have policies that I need to follow.

I am so disappointed especially after spending 1000$ on the photoshoot. Such a rip off and definitely a scam.

I work for max agency and i love the pics of me and i am on the app but thay me anytning thay said i will make money but never i did.

I don’t recommend this place. It’s a money eater. A scam. They make money off of you. I was with this agency since January of 2020 till April 2022. I never missed a weekly check in and somehow never landed an audition. They don’t have real connections and I’ve never seen people they represent in the industry. Not very professional. You have to pay for your own head shots and the hair and makeup wasn’t even hygienic. Nothing about this place would make you successful. Save your money.

I don’t recommend this agency. They are unorganized and not so many connections. The agent I worked with is fine, I followed all the instructions and paid for the most expensive photographer they suggested and I had a terrible experience after more than a year now, and it was a waste of money for sure. If you are seriously after this industry, take your talent somewhere else. (not only me, my group peers that attended classes suggested by this agency also have the same experience)

Instructions were clear and provided with enough time to submit. The I also liked having a follow up notification that it was received so I’m not left wondering.

The receptionist here was extremely rude and impatient with me when I was just asking a question whether or not they were hiring. I've asked other modeling agencies the same question and none of them were ever rude as the way this receptionist here was.

Great agency! Helped me land a great job and were very supportive throughout the entire process. Really nice and competent staff as well.

Ever since I joined Max Agency and got my portfolio together, my booking agent, Aleen, has been relentlessly submitting my images to various projects virtually every week. I've only been with Max actively since the late summer of 2021 but since then, I've had numerous audition tape- requests, which secured me 4 jobs thus far - all well-paying projects (1 TV commercial, 1 film project, 1 commercial, 1 modelling) between September 2021 - Feb 2022. TRULY GRATEFUL for all the opportunities and getting my images out on the radar of casting directors et al!

I would like to share my experience with MAX. I brought my little one there and had interview with Susan in the beggingof July. She's friendly and work efficiently, we had great impression and experience with MAX interview. The day after interview, she replied me so fast, she approved my little one. And she keeps being busy for my lo, prepare contract, photographer.etc. However, my lo is going to school, we decided to hold the contract for now. Susan is nice and friendly even we decided not continue in the midway.

I had a very professional interview. However after asking a few questions as to why their social media presence was minimal and if they updated often because the Instagram for their location had not had anything since 2013, they told me they did not like my “poor attitude” towards the business. After running a modelling agency for 20 years, 900 followers was odd to see on their social media and no posts since 2013 from the agency at their location was also a weird. Making these valid questions. I think it’s acceptable for someone getting into a new occupation to have questions about the employer. Don’t think my file was even sent to the agents due to my interviewer deeming me as having a poor attitude for asking reasonable questions given the industry.

Max Agency was my choice. They popped up on my social media platform one day out of the blue. I was leery because there are a whole bunch of scam artists out there, especially in this industry. Everyone thinks they are the next big thing and people will take advantage of that. So I did my research. Had my hand on the eject button through the whole member signup process, ready to push it at the first red flag. Years later here I am, still part of the Max Agency family. They were very honest right from the get go. I was told this isn't going to be my 'bread and butter' for a while. It wont even be 'butter'. They showed me the process they go through to get their talent submitted for projects and what kind of projects they work with. All they can do is use their industry connections and put you in front of as many projects as they can. What you do with those opportunities is completely up to you. I've been submitted for loads of work, been called upon for auditions/self tapes for about 20% of that, been called upon for a call back only about 5 % and only landed a few jobs. But my expectations are realistic because of that first meeting. I'm having SO MUCH fun doing the stuff I've always LOVED doing. I'm working at a pace i can manage in conjunction with my full time job. I'm in constant contact with my booking agent who ALWAYS makes time for me. It's been a great creative outlet that was missing in my life before. The team at MAX works hard for me. Even during the pandemic closures. I thank them every week for their hard work. And I genuinely mean it.

My parents signed me up to this agency when I was around 6 years old. I did a photoshoot, printed pics, signed documents, my parents paid over $1000 and they said they will call if i got an audition or not. They said they will let us know either way. I’m 25 now and still waiting for that call aha plus my dad tried calling them and they never got back to us.

I signed up with this agency a few years ago. Paid over $1000 for photoshoot. Went to all the classes the scheduled and not one day for I ever get a call for a gig. I am so disappointed because at the time I didn’t even had the money to, however I made a sacrifice. I will Never recommend Max agency to anyone. I know now I should have listened to the reviews. By the way I think they should give back people if never booked for an assignment. Lesson learnt.

This place is a scam and they will steal your money, Dont get fooled. Crooks work here with fake names, A lady named Nika Mallard is an agent here who scammed me for $1000 and tried to scam me for another $500. BE CAREFUL!

We signed our daughter up at the Waterloo location in December of 2019. The agent that signed us up took our money and set a date for a photo shoot. Later we had to cancel the date due to a conflict. In timing, when we called in the new agent said that our first appointment was never booked. She then booked an appointment to do the shoot we went to Toronto and have heard nothing ever since. We found out the Waterloo location is close but still haven't been able to get in touch with anyone to deal with our case. We do not recommend this agency as the touted that she has the look they are looking for. Spent almost $1000 dollars on this maybe a call to the BBB would be in order

I’m not signed with them as of yet, but I have had an in person interview recently. Every other agency I have had contact with have put me off somehow. Max is very simple and straightforward: They invest in their talent and want you to be successful. They are taking the risk not you. There’s no upfront fees, no bs. They get you the auditions if there’s demand and it’s up to you to get it when you audition. That’s really all there is to it. So based on my interactions with them to date (and I’m a tough to please) I would definitely recommend them to those looking to get into the industry. This isn’t an attempt to kiss butt but what can I say I like to reward businesses I like with good reviews.

Everyone is living through the Covid pandemic and making major adjustments to accommodate life (work, family, friends, travel, etc.). Max reopened in July and I had the opportunity to submit three self-tape auditions to compete for social media work. This shows that Max continues to focus on its many talents to get them work, as evident on their weekly Max Newsletter updates on audition opportunities and bookings. I, and many of our Max talents, appreciate Max for its continue support of their talents in staying competitive in this industry. I have learned a lot since I joined Max in 2019 and continue to develop my social media skills to compete for new work. I want to thank Max, and particular Kaye Sutherland, Max Booking agent, for these recent opportunities. I just received a call yesterday from Kaye informing me the good news that I won a new booking for one of my self-tape auditions I had recently submitted. In this industry, I know it's very challenging for talents to stay positive when they put in their valuable time and efforts to compete for work while looking for results. I am on the same boat as our Max talents and looking for my own results. I wish our Max talents all the best in their own pursue in the Social Media industry. In the meantime, stay healthy, safe, and continue to learn.

My first time with any agency and I truly believe I've hit the jackpot. Theese guys are super knowledgeable and help me out with any questions and concerns. I got my first modelling gig after getting new headshots from a photographer Max recommended for me. They're a great agency to get started with if you're a first time model, like myself!

You booked me for 6 on March 10 and I waited until 7 the girl in the front was sooo nice it looked like she was embarrassed for having me wait I eventually got bored and left. Puntuality is key for any business keep that in mind. No one even bothered to call me afterwards whatever I was just wanting to try out see where we could go from there but with this I rather consider another agency if I end up wanting to do this for a living.

I am not complaining just wanted to share the story,   I went there yesterday, there was young woman took my interview, she was clear and fast! Nikah her name I guess with black hair. Then she wants me to pay for magazines style portfolio which will cost me $600-$1000 and I have to pay before the training they will provide me. Then I said it's very expensive! Can I use my own photographer, he does magazine portfolio? She seems like she didn't trust me or gave me chances to provide her some my portfolios! Today she called me and she said my category is full so they can't approve me! If it's full then why did you call me for interview! I am welcome to re apply next 2 months later again! Now,   why I will have to use their photographer when I have my own who can do same for less! I thought agency does everything free based on %! They would approve me if I told them yes I have money ready! That's not very honesty and fare business functions!

Been with Max Agency for a while now after doing much research. It's definately been a fun and informative experience. Not only did they send me to acting classes to learn how to properly audition, act as well as audition etiquette.but they are also very professional and fun to work with. They're very transparent, answer any and every question as well as very frequently submit talent for auditions. Based on my personal experience and time with the agency I've been submitted for many roles and have actually landed quite a few auditions over time. Seeing the professionalism with their talent and also the amount of commercials and ads booked with Max talent makes me proud to be a part of their roster. One thing people have to remember when signing with an agency is that once you've been submitted for consideration by your agency, the rest is up to the client (Pepsi, Tim Hortons, etc.) to bring you in for an audition in which Max will contact you if selected. So you just need to always be prepared, ready and always be practicing. I've been submitted for so many roles and have booked quite a bit of auditions, most recently for a Netflix series I believe. What keeps me with Max is their dedication to not only talent but the way they are always keeping you in the loop as well as the acting courses you recieve and most definately the professionalism between staff and talent (which is usually harder to find than you'd think). If you get a chance to check out their blog you'll be shocked to see the amount of Max talent in commercials and shows you see everyday which also inspires me to keep practicing behind the scenes. I was skeptical at first, took the chance and I have no regrets thus far. Great agency, great people and it's nice to represented by a top agency. Max also had talent of all ages which is huge. My friend referred me who was previously with Max and I'm glad Max Agency took that chance with me. Just keep your fingers crossed and take every opportunity. Either way, you won't be disappointed.

I had been interviewed back in August by Max Agency to join their agency as a model/actor. Ever since, my experience has always been positive and upbeat with Max Agency. My agent, my booking agent and the ladies at the front desk upon entering are always friendly, polite, talkative and make your experience more enjoyable.

The location of Max Agency is very accessible and in a great part of the city on Yonge Street. The office is spacious, clean, well lit and an upbeat vibe.

If you ever need to speak with an agent at Max Agency, you are usually able to reach them right away. If not, when you leave a message, the staff usually get back to you in a good amount of time.

Overall, great experiences so far and no issues. I highly recommend this agency to aspiring actors, model, businesses and companies looking to expand their personnel.

Very disorganized. Met with 3 agents, when I was suppose to meet with 1. Was asked 3 times for mesurmeants, due to all three agents getting them mixed up.

Our kids joined the MAX family and the experience so far has been fantastic. The staff is professional, friendly, always available to answer questions and worked with us to create a great portfolio for each of them. The photographers they recommend are top notch. Not only did they take amazing pictures, they also made them feel like stars in the photoshoot. Taking the acting classes MAX offered also really helped boost their confidence and comfort with acting in front of a group of people. Learning improvisation was like learning a life skill, and not just something to improve their acting. We highly recommend joining MAX.

MAX is an absolutely amazing agency well renowned for their astonishing professionalism with their talented models/actors and the subsequent companies and brands talents are submitted to, such as Coco-Cola, Versace and Mastermind Toys! The office environment is very warm and welcoming to all, while I cannot say the same for other agencies who by comparison seem quite fixated on money rather than talented individuals. MAX cares for their talents in a way unlike any other agency I have come across. They are not only there to provide you with jobs; they also have a profound influence in the community allowing for careers and dreams to flourish. The mandatory all-inclusive acting classes when a talent begins are very enlightening and comprehensive as well! MAX has been a truly positive experience for me since day one!
My initial interview with Susan was so warm and welcoming that although I was nervous, it very easy to relax and be myself. She explained everything required in full detail with no surprises and training is included to make sure you represent them and yourself in the best way possible. As a new member of the Max Talent team I was excited to recently pick up my comp cards and meet my exceptional booking agent Stephanie who I immediately had an excellent rapport with and she even submitted me for my first booking right away! Max is the most welcoming and upfront agency I’ve come across. From the very first day I even applied, they were warm and extremely friendly. They answered every question I had thoroughly and provided me with all the information I needed. I would recommend this agency to ANYONE!

Paid 1200 dollars for photos when an agency isn’t supposed to make you pay for head shots. First they told me that the headshots would be 800 and didn’t even tell me till later on that the business cards would be an extra 400 dollars and made me pay upfront without warning me. AFTER I pay $800 for the head shots, I go back to the agency to choose which photos I want to use. They never told me in advance that I would have to pay more money for the business cards. That’s were the scam is. The client has no choice but to go though with it and pay the extra money because they already paid a fortune so it’s kind of too late to back out. Obviously they did that on purpose. Was with them for two years and not one audition on top of all that.not even a one star.

Notice that anyone that has given them 5 stars only has 1 review. Hmmmmm. Makes you wonder if the 5 star reviews could be fake.

Lol this agency is a huge joke and a freaking scam I tell you. The fact that I have other actor friends who have mutuals that have been offered a representation through this “agency” is hilarious. Don’t understand how in 2019 they are still running a scam. And the fact that they call it an agency is very ironic considering that a legitimate agency actually doesn’t scam people

I was with this agency in 2015 for a year and didn't get one single audition. They hardly answered my emails once I paid the amount of money they wanted, I felt forgotten. Once my contract expired, I emailed them to ask when I could come in to renew it and they never ever responded. Unprofessional. Don't waste your time with them!

My time with Max has been brief thus far. I signed with them less then six months ago as a completely raw and inexpirienced actor/model. The gave me direction and insight and are an easy going and understanding staff with an upbeat and positive mentality. Within three weeks of going live for bookings I booked my first job on screen. It was fun and rewarding and I can’t wait for next opportunity.
