Max's Diner

We were in another store in the building and happened to see Max’s Diner. We decided to stop in. Immediately we were greeted by a lovely server and told we could sit anywhere we like. Once seated she brought us complimentary water bottles. The special was Souvlaki Salad with chicken. To say it was delicious would be an under statement. The best souvlaki salad I’ve had. The chicken was amazing and sooo moist!
We’ll definitely be back again the next time we’re on the area.

Didn't have anything to offer. Disappointing. We split I guess what I understood was all that was available.ham and cheese sandwich and beef broth soup.so so.

I've been here at least once a month for a couple of months now as the food and service has been great. But today, the chef decided to go out of his way to make fun of how I asked my food temp. Very rudely told me I could knock someone out because I asked well-done. It's really none of his business how I eat my food. I'm paying and I'm eating. Not necessary for him to rudely and obnoxiously come tell me anything at all.

Probably the best steak sandwich you can get in all of mississauga, great food quality and nice service. Atmosphere could use a little work but for the price you really can't beat it.

What an amazing and friendly place. Travelling with our dog and we were looking for a place for lunch. They have a covered patio area that we thought would be great for us with the dog, even though the weather was somewhat inclement. I went in to inquire if the server, Heather, thought that would be ok. Not only was she more than willing to serve us out there, but then the owner, Dave, came out to tell us that we were more than welcome to bring our service dog in training into the restaurant. We did so, and everyone made us feel sooo welcome.was wonderful. Food was excellent.hubby had the jerk chicken special and I had homemade beef barley soup and a side Greek salad. Was SUCH an unexpectedly wonderful experience! Thank-you!

This place is dated and looks like a dump, that's misleading. The staff are friendly and the food was quite exceptional. All the food appears to be fresh and the flavours are spot on.

Been here a couple of times now for lunch. Had the specials of the days (beef brisket/jerk chicken) both times.

I love this place. Coming from London, this' one of many saved to my GPS. If it's burger or souvlaki platters, I go here.

Everyone raves about this little diner but the food takes too long and often overcooked. I've given many chances.

This place has amazing food! Lunch can get busy but the servers try hard and the food is flavorful and fresh prepared. Beef barley soup, chicken strips, fries, brisket, burgers, schnitzel, fries! The list goes on and on, but the prices are very fair.

More of a corner sports bar than a true diner which was fine. Great lunch special included a draught beer at a very reasonable price and the burger and fries were excellent! Owner is old school and uses cast iron skillets. Friendly local atmosphere with sports on the TVs. Very clean, easy access. Definitely return when in the area.

Food was excellent, but l felt invisible the the waitresses. Which bothered me because l only had 30 minutes for lunch.

I visited this diner because i got a new job close by and decided to check it out. When i walked in I was greeted by the waitress, she was very friendly and smiling. I ordered the Max Burger and fries to go, while i waited i had a bottle of beer. The food came out fairly quickly and i paid and drove 2 minutes back to work to eat.when i opened the bad i found a container of food, napkins, wet naps, a fork, and some condiments. The coleslaw was good, came in a small plastic cup. The fries were decent, they were not hot and crispy.more like warm and a bit soft. The burger was very good.definitely worth the price. The beef patty was homemade, and was huge. It was a bit overcooked but with everything on the burger it was still good. The vegetables were crisp and fresh.bacon was good, lots of cheese. I am glad i checked this spot out, definitely worth the money. Rating 4 stars because of the fries not being crispy and the patty being slightly overcooked, which you can most likely request them made how you like it.so not that big of a deal. Definitely going back to try more items on the menu,

Owner is not a nice person at all, will never give them my money again. Try being nicer to your customers.

Edit May 2019- Do yourself a favour and either get there very early or don't bother on Fridays. They were completely sold out of chicken and hamburgers by 12: 30, which is a regular occurance. Thought it was a one off the last time we went in but they don't seem to have it together when it's busy.

Max's Diner is a hidden gem with food that will simply amaze you. The daily specials are awesome from snitzel and perogies to Friday steak sandwiches which are juicy and keep you coming back for more. The last one is the peppercorn steak dinner. The sauce is amazing and the steak is cooked to perfection. There is more but you'll have to try it and don't forget your free bottle of water in the water cooler are the entrance.

First time there, food as very good. Well priced. Seems like mostly regulars and not a lot of patience if you don't know what they serve or how it works. Had to ask multiple times for the bill, and menu lacked flexibility. Like special is served with rice, can't sub salad. Can't just pay full price for main and add a salad. Kind of a weird mix of a sit down restaurant but the menu is hand written at the front.

Anyways food and price was good, if you feel comfortable there I think you would probably come back often.

Good place to grab something for lunch. I go here one or twice a month on my lunch during work. Wing special mon-thurs all day and Fridays excluding lunchtime

Everyone raves about this place but I always found the food overcooked and it takes a long time to get it. I gave Max's many chances but I gave up.

Owner was very welcoming and makes everything from scratch. Burger patties are hot not luke warm. Steak sandwich was really good too!

Delicious freshly made.large portions! Incredible steak sandwich. Fast, very friendly service. Didn't charge for kid's meals.

Excellent home cooked meals in a diner setting. You will leave stasified. And the prices are perfectly reasonable.

A real GEM. The waitress that was working was very helpful and customer service was amazing. The food was fantastic. Good portions.
